Andrew is a kind heart and knows how to look after dogs. My Carly has enjoyed her stay with him immensely playing with her buddy, Andrew‘s dog Dante I’m older and it’s hard to give my dog the exercise and stimulation that she needs. I know she’s in great hands with Andrew.

Carrie was amazing! She was super quick to respond and so nice. She provided updates and pictures of my puppy, Ruby, throughout the day. Ruby loved running around Carrie’s yard and playing with her two dogs. She definitely had a great day staying with Carrie.

Bobbie is amazing! She watched our pup Ace a couple of times when we needed a sitter during the day. It always makes us a little nervous leaving our pup with someone new, but Bobbie took such great care of him, sending plenty of detailed updates. She also played with him a ton and even took him swimming, which he loves! Ace was exhausted when he got home and I could tell he was so well loved and cared for. Would recommend Bobbie one hundred times over, will definitely book with her again! Thanks Bobbie :)

About: Hi! I’m Jaelyn (aka Jae the Fur Nanny 🐾) I’m a full-time pet sitter, which means your fur baby gets 24/7 care, attention, and supervision while they’re with me. I’ve been caring for animals since I was 6 years old and have experience with dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, and small animals. From energetic puppies to shy or sensitive pets, I take the time to understand each animal’s personality so they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely at home. ✨ What you can expect with me: • Full-time care (I’m home most/all of the day) • Flexible routines based on your pet’s needs • Plenty of love, playtime, and attention • A calm, cozy environment where pets can relax • Consistent updates so you always know how your pet is doing I typically allow pets to free roam, but I also have crates available if that’s what your pet is used to or if you prefer it. My goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. 💗 My approach: I treat every pet like family. When your pet stays with me, they’re not just being watched—they’re being cared for, loved, and understood. I’m very responsive and easy to reach, and I’m always happy to answer questions or provide updates. Before booking, I’d love to know about: •Your pet’s personality •Any triggers or special needs •How they do around other animals This information helps me give them the best and safest experience possible ✨ I’m so grateful for the opportunity to care for your pet and would love to meet you both! 🐶💕 I am ALWAYS AVAILABLE 💞 I do this full time so your fur baby will have my care 24/7. I always try to be flexible & I am very easy to reach for the most part. I tend to allow them free range of the apartment but it is up to you as the parent on what you feel is best. If needed I have different crate sizes available if your fur baby feels more comfortable sleeping that way. Otherwise they are allowed to sleep wherever they please.

Maria was so great. Got many updates. Even a nice quick one after i left because Molly was a little timid to have me leave, she can be shy at first. I was sad to leave her on her first doggie daycare. But Marie made everything great, she shared multiple pictures that she warmed up and went on walkies and she seemed to have a great time. I hope to make this a weekly occasion! It was nice to be stress free at work.

Carole was absolutely fantastic! She has a large yard with lots of space and places to explore. I can tell she really enjoys animals and caring for pets. While this was just for a few hours, I'd definitely feel comfortable leaving my dog for longer stays. I felt very at ease leaving my dog in her care. Will definitely rebook if I'm in her area again. 5stars!

About: I have taken care of many animals since I was about 11 and have always loved being around them! I have worked for a rescue for cats and dogs found in Detroit finding the dogs homes and catch and release for the feral cats. I’ve fostered many animals until they have found homes. I just want your fur baby can be as comfortable as possible:) I’m gonna stay at home mom so I can be with them all day! Me and the kids will give them alol attention they need! I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs your fur baby can play with! I can also crate them if you or them prefer that. I just want your fur baby as happy as possible !

It was the first time we’d left our little one with a dog sitter, and we were a little worried because ever since we adopted her, she’s always been very shy and tends to be afraid of strangers, but Jenifer was amazing with Hazel. She was extremely friendly and kept us updated on our little ball of fur, making her feel like she was part of a second family. My husband and I are very happy—we’ll definitely be back.

Working with Shant'a was a tremendously positive experience. This was our first time leaving our pup Leo with a babysitter, and she helped patiently guide us through the process, worked with us coming from our of state, and created such a welcoming environment that Leo eagerly zipped right into her home without a second glance at us. (OK, that part was a little disheartening, but clearly he was happy about it.) Six hours later we came by to collect him, expecting the eager welcome we get when coming home from work, but he seemed more like a kid being told "playtime is over, time to go home". Clearly he was in no rush to leave. Shant'a sent us some nice pics during his stay, and held to the routines we requested. No complaints! She's a delight and we hope to work with her again.

Novah had a great day with Rachel and Michael and Ember! Novah loved running in their very large fenced in yard. Rachel went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly. And Michael spent a long time with Novah outside playing with her and working on training activities. I highly recommend Rachel if you want a fun and safe place for your dog for day care! Thank you Rachel and Michael! Novah is excited to see you all again soon!

Great care of my little golden pup!! I feel totally safe leaving her in Sadeys care to help me out for long work days. Twigg spent her day running around in the spacious backyard and playing with her toys. She was totally beat after coming home and slept the rest of the night. Shes excited to go back later this month. I know puppies are exhausting and a lot of work so I appreciate Sadey taking care of her all day. I would highly recommend any of her services for your pups needs.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Ida

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 498 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Ida. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ida commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 498 sitters in Ida, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
