Top rated Howell house sitters

“Ashli was an absolutely incredible house-sitter for our (very) senior, mobility-challenged, black lab/border collie mix, Ajax. Quite literally the day we left for our five-day trip, Ajax—who is 15 ½ years old—took what appeared to be a turn for the worse. Yet Ashli was undeterred and not for one moment did she suggest we might find another sitter. When we returned, Ajax was in better shape than when we left him. Can one ask for anything more? Yet Ashli also did more! Because of Ajax’s condition, we did request more frequent updates than one might normally receive from a house or pet-sitter, and Ashli went above-and-beyond to provide them, along with pictures of him relaxing in various locations around the house. This put us at ease throughout our trip. Beyond that, Ashli communicated with us about different sorts of food combinations for Ajax, sat with him regularly, and cleaned up and washed any and all of the occasional mishaps -- effectively leaving the house, too, in better condition than when we left it. We might add that Ashli was also dealing with an extraordinarily difficult personal situation, which is precisely why she was compelled to cancel an earlier appointment (noted in a previous post). Given these circumstances—not to mention the challenges of caring for a senior dog with a near-endless list of special needs to which she had to adjust on the fly—we give Ashli the highest possible recommendation. We are ever so grateful for the care and kindness that Ashli showed to Ajax—and to us. Thank you!”

“Megan was such a wonderful pet sitter for my dog. She gave me daily updates with tons of photos, made sure she knew everything beforehand and asked plenty of questions about his routine, and even offered to water my plants. Could not ask for a better pet sitter!”

“Thank you, Taylor, for minding our Corgi, Badger, and our home while we were away! I highly recommend Taylor to anyone seeking the best for their animals or property. Taylor was thoughtful, sending fun photos of Badger, and nice, reassuring messages. We had complete peace of mind while away. She was also responsive and helpful with minor issues that came up during our absence. We will definitely call upon Taylor in the future.”

“Brandi took great care of my two dogs. She communicated with me throughout her stay and sent pictures each day. She stayed at my house and everything was clean and tidy when I returned. Would book her again.”

About: I grew up with animals around the house, we have dogs cats, chickens, turtles and fish! Learning how to care for animals correctly, was an important thing in my house. I started dog walking and pet sitting in early high school, and have done it ever since! I will take amazing care of your little critters and can’t wait to meet you both! I am very open, especially in mornings and evenings, and work well off of a set routine. I will be able to fit you and your pets needs into my schedule I treat my pets and my clients pets with the same amount of love and respect as I would give my own children. I can walk dogs and feed any pets and be a companion for pets while you’re away for the day, weekend, or month!

“Crystal was an outstanding sitter, both for our house and our fur babies (3 dogs, 1 cat). She was extremely attentive and gave daily updates with pics! Our dogs loved her and our cat, who doesn’t normally show affection to new people, absolutely loved her too! I would wholeheartedly recommend Crystal to sit for your animals. She is definitely an animal person!!! Thanks Crystal for your expert care for our animals!”

“Ann was great! Her communication was excellent. I received multiple photos and updates daily. I was informed each time my dog took his medication. I was super hesitant leaving one of my new fur babies home with a "stranger" and it seems he now has a new friend. All three of my animals were well cared for and I came home to my house exactly as I left it.”

About: I have experience in working with pets because my mother and I ran a rescue in Texas where she was a nurse, I am especially caring with all animals. I have access to my fathers’ farmstead of 40 acres for hosting the pets there or in the safety of my apartment I sit the pets with my roommate Michael who is always introduced to the pet parents. We ask if the pet would like a free bath and so the owners always know about his role in the pet care before hand. I can accommodate your schedule and help you out any time or on short notice. I only use the food you require or healthy foods I buy for my business I offer discount rebates for certain circumstances; after booking is paid for extended stays & frequent updates if you’d like; and most importantly a safe pet environment. Again I have Acess to my dads farm for frequent exercise or if you dog needs more space to roam For stays longer than a day I offer free supplies for the dog/animal while staying with me such as litter and food in certain circumstances and again scholarships for families with economic hardships; which means, adjustments to my rates. I can accommodate special dietary needs and feed pets just good healthy food. I am a very safety aware person & wont jeopardize your pet in any way. I have a pet proof home & again I have access to my father’s farm and we love the do park if there are nice dogs playing; if the dogs require more movement daily and not just my safe location in Moscow where there is a back yard run for the dogs at pet friendly location. Field trips do include the dog park again, but only safe walk places where the dog is leashed all the time; as long as there are no high risk animals out at dog park the dogs love it there; there and various outings to socialize the animals and a comfortable large two bedroom apartment for couch potato dog or elderly animals We also have some extra leashes & supplies for animals that need them if you forget them at home.

About: I have grown up with dogs and have petsat any and all types of animals since I was young. Now that I am a pet mom myself I know the importance of finding a trustworthy sitter for our furry friends. I do work full time but I am very flexible and can work with you on specific needs of your individual pets. Spending time and making sure the pets are taken care of is top priority. I have a dog and two cats. They are my best friends and I cannot imagine a life without them in it. My whole life is surrounded around making theirs the best if can be.

About: I have taken care of all breeds and sizes of dogs, trained and untrained. I currently have a working Dutch shepherd “Thirza” who I do competitive obedience and Shutzhund with. Give me a shout and let me know what you need! I work as a big game guide in the spring and fall, so my summer and winter months are totally open. All day everyday I can make whatever time/ days work. I throughly believe in a good “on” and “off” switch for dogs. Knowing when to expend energy is very valuable. If I’m doing home visits or walking your furry friend I will keep my energy very calm and maintain that good inside behavior. Until we get out then we can play, train and walk hard!

“We’ve been using Jane for a couple months now, and we have a pretty shy pup, but Jane has been gentle, patient, and gotten along with all our pets seamlessly. I would highly recommend her if you’re looking for a pet sitter or dog walker”

About: I’ve grown up with animals of all kinds in my home. While I currently only have a cat, I’ve been the owner of several dogs, a couple snakes, a bearded dragon and I’m not afraid of really any type of animal. I have a pretty open schedule, single mom to a couple of boys and pet mom to one sweet cat. I love snuggling any animal. So I live in an apartment but very frequently go out to trails and parks with my kids, I would have no problem including your pet!

About: I've taken care of neighbors and friends dogs since I was little, whether it was just check ins or stay in care for extended periods of leave Currently in college and can check in on your pets in the afternoon and evening and weekends are usually open for the majority of the day if not all day. I will happily care for your pets in your home and make sure they are well fed, watered, and exercised for their most optimum health and happiness.

About: My family has always loved animals so its basically a zoo at my mom’s house: 2 german shepherds, 2 snakes, 1 cat, 4 rats, and 1 mouse. I used to have bunnies and a raven. Any pet is welcome in my opinion and I would absolutely love to meet yours. I currently work a part time job at Hot Shotd Espresso in Lewiston. I work Friday-Sunday so I am busy from 6-2 pm, Mondays I work but in the evening so I’m busy between 4-10 pm. Although I have had many pets we ensure we take the best care of them. Both of my dogs have special needs whether it’s with food or behavior so we accommodate to whatever they need. The cat is very old and needs assistance with things such as jumping or using the bathroom. I am willing to take care of your pets in whatever way you and your pet needs!

About: I have grown up taking care and learning about animals all my life. I LOVE animals and I understand that they are more than just pets, they are family! I strive to provide the best possible care for your pet, after all, family deserves the best!! As a student at the University of Idaho my schedule allows me plenty of time to drop in and check on your pets, take them for a walk and play with them to get energy out. With the convenience of living in a central area of Moscow no pet is too far away or out of reach for me to help take care of. Your pets can rest comfortably within their own home and you can have a peace of mind as I am available to check in on them up to 3 times a day. I make sure they are given a sufficient potty break, meals are prepared to a T and that the house is in order — in case they tend to get nervous when you aren’t around — and most importantly that they are safe!

About: I’ve taken care of and owned 4 dogs, so I am well versed with different behaviors, needs and breeds. I’m ready to put my skills to use! As a swimmer of U of I my schedule is limited but I’m willing to be flexible with gaps in my classes and practice times. If ever needed we have a patio/walking trail for dogs and have a spacious apartment for activities. I’m also willing to take your pets to the local park depending on exercise needs.

“Hello! I’ve been Claire’s roommate for three years now and we share our home with two lovely cats. Throughout the years, Claire has consistently been the most dedicated and caring cat owner. While cats are very independent, they still require lots of attention and playtime, and Claire is always ready to be there for them in any way they need. She is empathetic, attentive, and very tuned in to their needs. I always know our cats are in good hands if I leave on vacation. It can be hard to trust another with your pets, but I can’t think of anyone better to care for animals!”

Griffen has grown up around pets and is comfortable with the care routines that different animals require to be healthy and nurtured. He also exhibits outstanding patterns of responsibility and effort. He is respectful and exhibits leadership by doing the right thing even in high pressure situations. I have also seen how Griffen consistently works hard to establish rapport and trust with his clients to ensure a relationship of mutual comfort and professionalism. As a collegiate athlete and exceptional student, he has displayed high levels of achievement in multiple areas of life and does his best at everything he is committed to. I have no doubt that this dedication and intentionality will show up in his interactions with you and your animal(s). If you are hoping to leave your pet in the hands of someone who will go the extra mile in providing care for your pet, Griffen is the right choice.”
