About: I was raised in a farm family and within my father's exotic bird business. I've been taking care of a variety of types of animals since I was a child. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to care for their pets. I have experience working as a dog daycare and kennel employee. I have two dogs of my own and enjoy being an animal caregiver. About: I have founded and led Abbey’s Canine Academy for over 5 years. We specialize in Board and Train scenarios and are trained and able to handle all kinds of pets from puppies to seniors. We have specialized equipment and experience to make sure your pet stays safe and fulfilled. As a full time dog trainer, I am home with the dogs every day, for all hours unless I need to run errands. Each dog has free time in the house, yard time, exercise time, play time, and even scheduled training time if you desire! I have two dogs that are very well trained in the home. If your pup wants to play, then they can play, but if they do best separate, then my home is equipped to keep them separate during the day and at night for sleeping.

About: I have had dogs my entire life! Dogs in my care will enjoy my large fenced in yard with my 2 fur babies who love making new friends. Your dog will enjoy plenty of supervised outdoor time involving fetch, frisbees and sniffing. My fur babies are high energy, however they get plenty of daily exercise that requires lots of napping and snuggles. This makes my home compatible with high energy dogs or senior dogs. You can expect your pet to receive a great deal of attention in a safe environment specific to their needs. Pets visiting should be friendly and crate trained in case of emergencies. All dogs are required to be up to date on all vaccines and must be actively receiving flea/tick MEDICATION prevention. Unfortunately, Pets with signs of fleas will not be welcomed. I am experienced in caring for all ages from puppies to seniors dogs. I am a full time RN but have free time mostly on weekends. My husband and I work opposite shifts so there is always someone home to care for your pet with the exception of an hour when my husband is leaving for work and I am coming. I currently work full time as a nurse. My husband and I work opposite shifts so there is always someone home with the exception of an hour or 2 in the morning when I’m coming home and he’s leaving for work. I have a large fenced in yard that is 75% privacy fence. I do require a meet and greet to ensure the safety of your/my pets. Pet must be up to date on all vaccines. Pets are required to be actively on flea/tick medication. Any sign of fleas will result in pet being declined for services.

“James did a fantastic job taking care of my dog for a week, soon after I moved to Fort Myers. His house and yard are very clean and spacious, and he has a friendly dog (Myles) who was great company. James, himself, is clearly a devoted dog person himself, and is also clearly motivated to do a great job as a dog-sitter. It was obvious, throughout my dog's stay, that James cared about her and keeping her feeling comfortable. As for my level of comfort, he texted me regularly while I was away, often including photos of my dog. And he responded immediately when I texted or called for information. Finally, I could tell that my dog was very comfortable at James' and Myles' house, from the meet-and-greet to the pick-up. I can't recommend James highly enough.”
