About: I've taken care of cats and several types of dogs, mostly of the large kind, for friends and family as well as raising many kittens in my own home. I have experience with all ages of dogs and am comfortable with high energy dogs as long as they don't have aggressive tendencies. I have worked on some (very) basic dog training, but nothing at all professional. I have also had and taken care of ducks, chickens, rabbits and fish. If you need a companion for your pet, I would love to be of service for you! I am currently unemployed and living at home, so any schedule you would like for your animals while I'm there with them, I am able to do! I'm happy to take dogs for walks, play with cats, or whatever you need me to do for their schedules.:) I will be respectful of whatever boundaries you have for your home, or with your pets. I am happy to care and be involved with your pets in whatever way you need. I am patient with animals that take a bit of time to warm up to more people, so don't worry about being offended. About: What sets me apart from other dog sitters is my 32 years of experience, beginning in my teenage years when I cared for neighbors’ dogs. As a dog owner myself, I hold myself to high standards and treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. Due to working in a school full time, I have the most availability in the summer and winter breaks. In addition, I am available evenings for drop ins and weekends for house sitting. As someone who loves pets and takes great pride in caring for my own, pet care is always a top priority in my daily routine. When it comes to your pet, it becomes my first obligation as well. I follow a strict feeding schedule for my one dog—once at 7 a.m. and again at 5 p.m; meanwhile, my other dog is a graze eater and has food in her dish 24/7. We also dedicate at least an hour to play, whether it’s fetching a ball, relaxing while watching TV, or playing with stuffed animals, sometimes more often than not a lot more than an hour. Rest assured, your pet will receive all the care and love they deserve! I prioritize a consistent schedule and routine for both my pets and client pets, which includes regular feeding, playtime, relaxation, and walks. Safety is my top priority, and I ensure that your pet is well cared for in a secure environment. In my home or yours, I have crates, multiple rooms, and gates available to provide space for pets to relax if they need some time alone or if they become too rambunctious. Rest assured, your pet will be safe, comfortable, and well attended to while in my care. I cultivate a more homey environment for my pets and dogs I watch, which sets me apart from kennel life.
