Bear is almost 14 years old and not interested in playing, but he got along well with Veronica’s gentle dog, who Veronica carefully introduced to him. He likes to be with people, and he was so comfortable with Veronica that he relaxed at my feet when she and I chatted, instead of pulling me out the door. Veronica was very careful to help Bear negotiate around her house, as he doesn’t see well, and she was clever in making sure he could safely go out. About: I have been a vet tech for 10 years. It is my passion. I had a disabled boxer so I am familiar with need to help disabled pets. I currently share custody of an energetic border collie. My 14 year old daughter loves to assist me when caring for your pet, please let me know if that is okay. I do work full time. If the pet is staying at your house, time permitting, I will check on them before work, lunch, and spend time after work with them. I will treat every pet as if they are mine. I normally feed twice a day and go outside as often as possible; weather permitting of course. If anything seems off, I have experience and a clinic I can take them too if needed.

About: I have done rescue work for dogs. I actually have two dogs of my own one. I saved from the Humane Society and one I saved for a rescue who is going to be put to sleep for no reason. I am currently not working so I would be home all of the time with them. They would get all the attention in the world. We have a a fenced in backyard that they would be able to run around in and the cats would be kept inside and fed. What food daily if you please. I have a fenced in backyard and two very very friendly dogs who love new friends. Your dog would be very loved and taken care of. I also have four cats who love to have new friends in they would be very loved and taken care of and would not be let outside at all

About: My husband and I are lifelong dog lovers who both grew up with dogs and couldn’t imagine our home without them! We currently have three adopted pups from the Kansas Humane Society, and over the past three years we’ve also fostered 11 dogs through KHS — including 5 puppies. Caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels has taught us how important patience, routine, and a loving environment are for every pup. While we don’t feel experienced enough to do any official training, we provide a safe, playful, and affectionate home where dogs are treated like family. Our three dogs love making new friends, and our 9-year-old is a certified ball-throwing expert who adores helping play with visiting pups! I’m also a stay-at-home mom to a 1-year-old who absolutely loves dogs, and I’m always closely supervising interactions to make sure everyone stays safe and comfortable. Our home is set up to accommodate different temperaments and needs, with three separate spaces — a finished downstairs area, living room, and kitchen/coffee nook — that can be used for dogs who prefer a quieter environment, slower introductions, or their own low-energy space. We know how important it is to trust the people caring for your dog, and we’ll treat your fur baby with the same love and attention we give our own. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home throughout the day and have plenty of time, attention, and energy to devote to caring for your pups! My schedule is very flexible, so I’m available most days and times throughout the week aside from the occasional appointment or family activity. When my 9-year-old is out of school, he’s my biggest helper and loves spending time playing fetch and giving extra attention to our furry friends. My 1-year-old is also a huge fan of dogs and happily tags along on walks and outdoor time. Our days are full of play, cuddles, potty breaks, and lots of love, so your pup will always have company and care while they’re with us! As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home throughout the day to closely supervise playtime, potty breaks, feeding schedules, walks, and rest time. Whether your dog is staying in our home, joining us for walks, or being cared for in your own home, we strive to create a loving, dependable, and low-stress experience for both you and your pet. We also offer drop-in visits and dog walks for local families, and we’re happy to come to your home to feed, let your dog out, provide walks, playtime, cuddles, medication if needed, and lots of attention while you’re away. We know how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet and entering your home, and we’ll always treat both with the same care and respect we would want for our own family.

About: I grew up in a pet loving family, we always had at least 5 fur babies! I loved having the responsibility of caring for them by myself. I would sometimes bring them over to my neighbors for play dates, I could teach them tricks and play with them all day. I am always home or going for walks, and having a pet by my side always makes my day better. From running around outside to laying on the couch watching a movie having a pet with me always makes it so much more fun! No pet is the same, I adapt to what the pet wants. If it’s an energetic puppy i’ll be energetic if, it’s a relaxed elderly pet i’ll relax with it, they all get the care and environment they will need.

About: I currently work as a zookeeper and have years of wild and domestic animal experience. Working with wild animals means I have a much deeper understanding of animal husbandry, psychology, and behavior that allows me to provide better care for your pet! I'm especially comfortable around and handling large dogs due to the nature of my job. Professionally, I have cared for a variety of wild animals including large cats like lions, tigers, and leopards, dolphins, seals and sea lions, and several canid species. That being said, I'm able to provide a deeper level of personalized care. I currently work 5 days a week, usually Wednesday-Sunday. On my weekend, I'm home all day. On my workdays, I'm able to leave during lunch to provide dogs with potty breaks. There is a dog park within walking distance of my apartment that I bring my dogs to every morning and evening. I do also have a dog potty set up inside my apartment just in case a dog can't wait for me to get home. I provide this because I personally wouldn't make myself hold it, so I would never force a dog to do the same. I provide a very safe, relaxing environment where your dog will be treated like family. I approach care with a proactive approach, rather than reactive. This means I always keep a close eye on individual pet behavior as subtle cues can indicate how a pet is feeling at a given moment. Many pet owners miss out on these cues, especially if they aren't trained to look for them. Overall, this means I try my best to create a safe environment for and trusting bond with any animal I work with via positive reinforcement and never push past an individual's limits.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Back in 2014, I had two ferrets, and they were such a joy—full of energy and personality! Since 2019, I’ve had my long-haired Dachshund, Chestnut, who’s been my constant companion. Taking care of him has taught me a lot about the needs of small dogs, from grooming to keeping up with their energy. I’ve also helped out friends by pet-sitting over the years. I watched a cat for a friend for several months, making sure they were fed, played with, and given plenty of attention. I’ve also dog-sitted, with the longest stay being a full month. I made sure the dog was walked, fed, and felt comfortable and loved while their family was away. I really enjoy spending time with animals, and I know how important it is to make them feel safe and happy. Whether it’s a quick visit or a longer stay, I’ll treat your pet like my own! I’m currently working full-time, but my evenings are fairly open, so I have plenty of time after work to care for and spend quality time with your pups. I’m available on weekends and weekdays after 3:30 PM, and I’d love to help make sure your furry friends are happy and well-looked after! I have a fenced yard, a friendly long-haired dachshund to keep your fur babies company. If needed, I can crate the dog. I also have ramps for easy access to the couch, as well as a gate to keep dogs out of the kitchen and basement.
