“Our typical dog sitter was busy for our weekend trip (we waited too long to reach out, that was our bad.) so I had to find someone else we could trust. Tracy has tons of positive reviews and was super quick getting back to me. The doggies were well taken care of. This was perfect for our short trip. Letting anyone into your home can be a little sketchy, but I never felt nervous on this trip. I definitely recommend.”

“Lisa was wonderful! She came to do a meet and greet and Poppy was instantly drawn to her. She sent updates and kept me informed and I felt very comfortable having her there to watch Poppy while we were away. I would definitely recommend. Thank you Lisa!!”

“Brooklyn was able to help me out last minute and was great. She paid a lot of attention to my dogs and they really liked her. She communicated well and was fully invested in making sure my dogs were well-taken care of while I was gone.”

“We are so thankful to have found Bree. She provided constant updates and was always willing to check in more if we wanted. We will 100% be using her for our extended vacations.”

“This was the first time I had ever used Rover for petsitting. To say I was nervous is an understatement because my two dogs are my kiddos and I love them so much. I wanted to use this service so they could stay at home where they are the most comfortable. Clint and Leah were the perfect choice for me because they were willing to stay at my house and gave both of my dogs lots of attention. One of my dogs is older and pretty cranky and she takes a long time to warm up to new people. I was shocked when she warmed up to them right away. Clint and Leah are excellent communicators which is very important to me. As things came up while I was gone, they were great about letting me know right away and giving detailed updates. One of my dogs is very scared of fireworks and my trip was over New Years and there were loud noises that scared my dog. They were great about not only keeping me updated, but also showed a picture of my dog sitting on the couch with them which normally doesn’t happen easily with new people. I highly recommend these two and am definitely hoping to use them again in the future.”

“The most marvelous dog and cat sitter ever!!!!!! Stephanie made me not worry at all on our vacation!!! I would use her anytime I need someone! Top notch!”

“Amy was amazing! We have a 15 year old bichon who gets anxious when we are not home. Amy was so good to our little guy! He warmed right up to her! Amy was a fantastic house guest. We would definitely use Amy again and I would highly recommend her.”

“This was my first experience with Rover and Brianna was great! She was flexible with all known and last minute requests while caring for my dogs at our house. She sent pictures throughout the week, communicated when she would be away from the dogs during the day and when she returned, provided updates on how they were doing, and didn't hesitate to ask questions if my notes were unclear. I will definitely be reaching out to her for future bookings. Thanks again!”

“Our home and ESPECIALLY our dogs were very well cared for while we were on vacation! We received daily pictures and updates which we loved, and Sami was always responsive. We couldn’t have asked for anything better!”

“This was our first time using Hannah's services, and we couldn't be more satisfied with her care. She did a wonderful job looking after our two Afghan hounds. She checked in regularly, and our dogs absolutely loved her, which gave me peace of mind knowing they were well cared for. I will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“I was incredibly hesitant to use another sitter from Rover after a terrible experience the last time but I took a chance with Brandi & Luis because the second I met them during our meet and greet I felt like they would be different and I was right! They were the BEST decision I made for my two doggies! They came right in and actually said hi to my dogs and showed so much interest in them and seemed to love them instantly! They worked with my schedule to do exactly what I needed and stayed at my house the entirety of my time away. I used them over the Fourth of July and one of my dogs does not do well with fireworks so I felt awful leaving her but she couldn’t have been in better hands! They stayed with her the entire time and followed my instructions down to every last word. They sent frequent updates with pictures and there was not a second I was worried my doggies weren’t being loved! They spent their time relaxing on the couch with them just like they do when we’re home and I know they took the absolute best care of them! I can’t wait to use them again if needed and I know my dogs will be THRILLED to see them again. I can’t speak highly enough, this was without a doubt the best Rover experience I’ve had and now I don’t ever want to use another dogsitter because I don’t think you can do better than Brandi & Luis!”

“Hannah was great! Both my dog and cat are typically very nervous of new people, but they warmed up to Hannah very fast! She sent great updates and tons of pictures which I really appreciated. I will definitely book with her next time I go away!”

“Couldn't be happier with Tonie! She took great care of our pup while we were on vacation. It was so nice to not have to worry, and know she was in good hands. Will absolutely be requesting her services again in the future.”

About: I, Carter and my mother Mindy, have been pet owners our entire lives. We have experience with young, adult, and senior dogs. Along with experience in administering certain types of medications, and our house is blind dog friendly thanks to indoor gates and a fenced in and safe backyard. We’ve recently lost our last dog and don’t plan to get another animal companion, but we love to help people care for their furry companions temporarily as a way to give back to the same people who did such for us when we were pet owners. Mindy works from home and loves to work outside in her garden, which would mean a lot of outside time for your pet in our fenced in backyard. Carter is around more in the mornings and nights meaning if your animal is a “night owl” they shall still be cared for round the clock. We have a designated area for food and water in our house, along with many toys and bones from throughout the years. We are in a very safe neighborhood with a fenced in backyard and lots of room to run. Any animals living with us will always be treated with kindness and a sense of belonging no matter the duration of their stay!

About: I have plenty of hands-on cat and dog care experience. Last year, I lived with a sweet cat and a high-energy golden retriever, and often cared for them while my roommate was away for clinicals. I handled their daily care, playtime, and attention, so I know how to keep pets happy, healthy, and well-loved. I’m in my final year of pharmacy school and currently have a break before my next clinical rotation. That means I’m free all day during the week and most weekends until October, giving me plenty of time and flexibility to care for your pet and keep them happy, active, and loved. I don’t currently have a home with a yard suitable for a pet, as I’ll be moving around for school this year. That’s actually why I love helping care for other people’s animals! I focus on giving pets attention, playtime, and companionship, and I’m happy to follow their routines closely, whether it’s feeding or walks. Living with a golden retriever with high separation anxiety taught me a lot about the importance of just being present and sticking to the routine established by the owner.

About: I’m currently pursuing my education with one goal in mind: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of your beloved fur babies! Whether it’s training energetic puppies or giving extra love and care to senior pets, I’m here for it all. I’ve been caring for animals since I was just 4 years old, and with my Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences—concentrating in Ecology—I’m excited to bring both heart and science together to provide the best care possible. Making tails wag and pets feel safe is truly my passion! I’m currently available on weekends, which means I can dedicate lots of quality time to caring for and playing with your fur baby! Now that I’ve finished college, I also have plenty of free time—perfect for early morning potty breaks, training sessions, fun play routines, and even overnight visits with attentive monitoring and late-night potty runs. Your pet’s comfort and routine are my top priority! I have spare crates available and two sweet pups of my own who love making new friends! With plenty of toys and regular trips to public parks, your fur baby will have lots of enrichment and playtime. My apartment even has a doggy-gated play area where your pup can run around safely and freely! For added peace of mind, I’m fully prepared for emergencies—I can crate when necessary, and I use doggy seat belts for safe car rides. I’m also CPR-certified and have hands-on experience with syringe-feeding medications if needed. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priority!

About: I’ve taken care of one shitzu and terrier mix and one German shepherd which are my uncle’s pets as he is most of the time on a work trip. I would looked after them on weekends and holidays. I’m used to feeding them, taking a walk and potty breaks and giving them a bath. Right now, I’m on summer break and I am not looking for a part time job or anything so I have lots of free time to look after your puppies! I don’t have any pets at my home but I’m confident that I can keep them safe and comfortable in my home! I’ll make sure to be tailored to any specific requirements or needs of each pet!

About: I have experience with a variety of ages/sizes and have a senior dog. My wife and I love to create a fun environment for the dogs we board. We have a dog that we love to take on walks at least 2x a day, play with, and take frequent trips to the park. I have a friendly dog to keep your pup company. I live in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. I also have lots of toys for all dogs to play with.

I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and compassionate pet sitters!”

Hillsboro pet parents share their Rover experiences
Bree was absolutely fantastic! We hired Bree for a weekend trip and she was everything we could ask for. She met us prior to leaving to get comfortable with our dog and home; she was very responsive throughout our time away including many photos of our animals and updates. Awesome feeling coming home to a happy dog! Thank you Bree

This was the second time Natalie watched our girls and she was just as wonderful as the first! She stayed with them, gave them so much love, and we could tell they were so happy and well cared for when we got home. It’s such a relief knowing they’re in such great hands—we’ll definitely continue booking with her!
