Cynthia took care of my elderly cat who has medical needs while I was away on vacation. She was professional, caring, and dependable. She was excellent at keeping in communication and providing me with updates so that I could relax and enjoy my vacation knowing that my cat was in capable hands. I highly recommend her and would hire her in the future!

About: Truly one of the dog people! I currently have a part time, flexible job of over a year professionally working with dogs, that also gives me plenty of time to spend time with your pet. I’m very flexible and able to work with all of your dogs special wants and needs, and yours! I have tons of experience house-sitting and pet-sitting, I have fostered before and trained my own dogs. I have also taken care of diabetic animals while pet-sitting, and I am able to give medications if needed. I’m available 7 days a week to care for your pet overnight, and with only 5 hour shifts at work—the rest of the day would be spent with your animals. I am able to walk with your dog while you are away if requested. I’m currently only working part time to have more pet-care availability! I prioritize your household and animals, with loads of flexibility to meet your or your pet’s needs. I am available to do drop in services for bathroom breaks, public outings or walks (for well-mannered dogs only), time-sensitive medication administration, puppy care and training, or just hanging out inside of your home to keep them company. I am also experienced with pregnant dogs, nursing puppies, and whelping litters. I am adaptable to your household’s needs in terms of timing, cleaning, schedules and activities. I am happy to upkeep any current training and routines.

John has been absolutely wonderful with my puppy, Lainey. He is reliable, patient, and clearly loves dogs. As a new puppy owner, it gives me great peace of mind knowing that Lainey is in such caring hands. John takes the time to make sure she gets the exercise, attention, and positive interaction she needs, and he always keeps me updated on how she’s doing. Lainey is excited to see him, which tells me everything I need to know about the quality of care he provides. I highly recommend John to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable, and compassionate dog walker. We are so grateful to have found him!

Quite pleased with Sue. I only have a cat but that said , my cat came out to play with Sue swishing Maggie’s’ fishing pole. I knew this because I got many photos and text which makes me so happy when I am away. Will definitely use again.

I highly recommend Jessica! She was great with Aslan. Aslan can be quirky with new people--but he warmed up so quickly to Jessica (in fact, he was asleep on her feet about 15 minutes into our meet and greet!) Based on the pictures she sent, he looked happy and content on his walks. Jessica was prompt for our meetups and even swung by a second time to pick up a key (when I couldn't find it the day of our meetup). We'll definitely use Jessica again when we're away in the future.

Moriah was wonderful with Rosie, my 10 year old dog, who is very particular with her human friends, especially strangers. After a successful meet and greet, Moriah came by for a drop in dinner and Rosie was so excited to see her! Moriah happily sent me some video updates during the visit. I look forward to working with her in the future.

I work on a school-year schedule, so aside from caring for my own kiddos I can be flexible during the summer months to make sure that your animals have the care they need. About: Hello! My name is Darrion. I work at a veterinary hospital full time as a vet tech. My boyfriend Jake works from home full time so someone is always home. My passion is taking care of animals and working with them. I live in a home that has a fenced yard. We will offer lots of play time. We have lots of dog toys lying around. I have experience giving medications/vaccinations, working with special needs dogs, and working with senior dogs. I have a lot of experience with pets that have health issues as well. I will do whatever it takes for your baby to be happy and have a great time. Any special requests? I will try to fulfill them! I want your pet to feel like they're at home and I'll do whatever I can to make them feel that way! I work full time Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Off Thursdays. Work one Saturday a month. When I'm off work, I'm available to be with your pet the entire day. When I'm at work, I'm unfortunately not available to be with your pet until I'm off work. BUT my boyfriend Jake works from home so he will be with your pet all day. My pets have free roam of my house at all times, even when I'm not home. If your pet is good free roaming at all times, even when someone isn't home, I'll definitely let them do that. If you prefer them to be in a crate when no one is home, I can do that. All pets are allowed on the furniture. I treat your pets as if they're my own.

As of September 2026, there are 409 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Hill stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hill. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
