Mekayla and her husband were so great with the dogs! Free range of the house and yard and made them feel at home! Can’t thank them enough and would have them take my dogs again!

Michaela did a great job caring for our puppy for an entire week! She provided us daily text and video updates on him and really made sure he had that TLC he gets when he’s at home with us. I can’t thank her enough for doing such a great job. It made vacation a lot better knowing he was cared for so well!

About: I have experience with reactive and aggressive dogs, along with senior pets. I have owned and carried for multiple dog, cats, and exotic animals. I have trained 2 service dogs and a therapy dog as well as scent work foundations. Animals are my biggest passion, my goal is to help and love your animals as my own in order to help you achieve all goals you may have in mind. even if its as simple as a good walk. I spend my time taking care of my own dogs, walking, training and grooming. I still have time in the day to help others and this is my best idea to achieve that. I have 2 friendly dogs, Tyson who is around 8 he is extremely neutral and coda was is a bit older then a year old who has tones of energy for play. I have harness and long lines to make sure your dog has the ability to run and play safely even though I don't have a fenced in yard. My dogs will only interact with yours if you ask for it, as I know some dog just prefer to be on their own. I have toys of all sizes and types. All dog will be leashed before any door is opened to ensure no dog will be getting loose. I know how to administer medications if needed along with how to give the dog the Heimlich. Your pets safety is my number one priority.

Jessica was amazing with our 8-year-old pup! She took such good care of our sweet and quirky dog — Poppy made quick friends with the other animals in Jessica’s care. When we plan future trips, it’s comforting to know that our pet will be well taken care of. Thank you, Jessica!

About: Over the last 20 years, I've encountered numerous family, friends and neighbor's dogs to feed, walk and *if they allowed* pet and snuggle. I personally have loved 5 dogs in that time. Many of the dogs I have cared for range from age 12 weeks as small as dachshunds up to 16 years and as large as irish setters. I also have speciality in assisting dogs with health complications, such as cancer and addison's disease so I'm very familiar with medication schedules. I enjoy adapting to each dog's personality and preferences as they are just like people. I have always loved dogs! I work Monday thru Thursday most weeks so I am available on most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to walk, pet, feed and play with your dog. I have a fenced in backyard that has previously held six other dogs in my care. I also have almost anything needed for a dog like leashes, bowls, toys, bedding, and a if needed a clean, small crate and "accident" spray. Food, treats and any meds would need to be provided by the owner, but I'm more than comfortable with following schedules.

About: I have less experience with dogs. Only ones I’ve had as pets. I would be great for walks. I am reliable and timely with requests. I have a full time job, but looking for evening walks or weekend care. I am familiar with medications, shots, and feeding tubes. I enjoy walking and would gladly take your dog to the park for a stroll. At home, we have few rules for my cats. We have pet friendly furniture and toys. Dogs that get along with cats would be fine!

Tracey was extremely accommodating throughout the entire booking process. She answered any and every question we had before booking. She was very accommodating when it came to drop off and pick up times. During our 2 dogs stay she kept us updated through the day with how they were doing along with plenty of pictures to put us at ease that they were very well taken care of. She truly treated them as her own. Our young lab and pit mix pup are full of energy and can be a handful and that didn’t bother her. I’d feel completely safe leaving them with her again and if we’re ever in the area again we’ll definitely be booking thru her!

About: "My home used to be filled with cats and a whole pack of little dogs. Over the years things have changed, and right now my sole companion is a wonderful senior tabby cat named Batman." I'm currently not working, I just stay home, take care of the house and my senior tabby, Batman. I have nothing except time to help care for your fur babies. I live at the end of the road in a very quiet neighborhood with a big yard. Plenty of space inside and outside of the home.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals as long as I can remember. From taking care of my own pets to helping others out with their pets, I love providing the pet care an owner needs help with and a pet needs. Growing up, I lived across the street from my great aunt who bred and showed Great Danes. From a young age I remember sitting and watching out the front window for my aunt to come home so I could call her and ask if I could come help her with her Danes. When I was 10 years old, I started my own dog walking/pet sitting business and I have helped numerous families out with their pets while they were out on vacation or just needed help getting their pets outside for some exercise. After college, I worked at a local pet store and have gotten a lot of experience with dogs, cats, fish, guinea pigs, and birds. I also have helped care for horses over the years. I love hanging out with animals and spoiling them like I do with my own pets. I am comfortable taking care of multiple pets and fur babies of all sizes. I have a very flexible schedule. I am available for full time or part time work. I am currently a stay at home mom, so my availability is fairly free, but it varies from week to week. I am pretty flexible and willing to work with your schedule. I let my pets out multiple times a day and take them on walks. I love to take my pets out on hikes as well.

It's hard to leave your pets with new people, but we did a meet and greet with Allie ahead of time and immediately felt at ease. Allie was great with my 11-year-old pup while I was out of town for the week, even spoiling her with her ice cream. She gave my dog her medication and sent photos daily. I would definitely book Allie again and recommend her to anyone who needed an overnight sitter.

Whether your dog needs a brisk neighborhood run, a fun hike, or just a playful game of fetch, I’m always ready to match their energy! I am a future law student, so you can count on my professionalism, reliability, and dedication to keeping your pet safe. :) I’m pretty flexible so I can take care of your pups on short or long term notice! I don’t have much going on as of now! As an extremely detail-oriented person, I treat your home and your pets with the highest level of respect. I closely follow all instructions regarding crating, food boundaries, and home security. Outdoors, I practice strict leash safety and keep a watchful eye to ensure your pet is always secure.

About: I've spent my whole life surrounded by animals—caring for everything from playful puppies and cuddly cats to bunnies, ferrets, and more. I’ve fostered kittens, helped them grow strong and social, and supported pets through every stage of life. What started as helping family, friends, and neighbors has grown into a true calling. I have experience with pets of all ages, medical needs, and those requiring special attention—like blind or deaf animals who need extra patience and care. Whether it’s daily check-ins or last-minute sitting, I treat every pet like family—because that’s how I’d want mine treated too. I work from home and I make my own schedule. So, tons of time for walks, play-time, bathing, and cuddles. Missing your fur baby? No worries! As a fur mom, I know how reassuring it can be to get updates, with pictures and videos, while being away from your babies. I have 2 pups and tons of toys that will keep your pups entertained, and space they can retreat to if they feel overstimulated. I live close to trails for enjoyable walks, for the pups that are properly safeguarded with prevention and vaccines for a walk through the woods. I have plenty of kitty toys and scratchers for my kitty friends, so they can have fun and keep their nails in tip top shape. My fur babies have a calm and safe environment, and we’d love to share that with your fur baby.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 40 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Hepzibah. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hepzibah home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hepzibah.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Hepzibah sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
