About: Hi there! My name is Cal and I live in Heber City. I am a student studying environmental science.I grew up around dogs on our family farm up north and later in our lovely home in Alameda and I have been dog sitting and house sitting for friends my whole life. I am a positive, upbeat and happy person which makes me great with pups of all sizes and personalities. I am also patient and I love being outdoors, so walking or running your dog is a perfect fit for me. I love having regulars as it allows me to get to know your dog on a more personal level and work with the owner to make sure all the pups needs are met. Most recently, I cared for a two-year-old mini Golden Doodle (while housesitting in Northern California) that unexpectedly developed an unfortunate "hot spot". Through diligent communication with her owners (who were vacationing in Europe), we coordinated how best to proceed. This included several visits to a vet, where she also, as it turned out, had double ear infections. Treatment protocol required both topical and oral medications twice daily. I recorded an audio of the summary diagnosis from the vet and shared this with her humans, as well as regular updates and photos of the healing progress. Simultaneously, I was asked to move her to a balanced raw diet (like that of my own dog), and which required more effort but that was entirely inline with what I'm already accustomed.
