8. Christie R.
About: I have over 10+ years of experience taking care of animals. When I was in highschool I had a love for all animals and was in a small animal science program where we learned to take care of small animals as well as learn to bathe and give hair cuts to dogs. Once I new this was something I enjoyed I worked at a kennel for a short time before starting to work at Petsmart in NY as a bather. While I was in community college I continued to work as a bather until I moved from home. When I would come home for breaks I would work at the Kennel at Petsmart working the overnight shift. During this whole time I was babysitting, dog/cat sitting and taking care of smaller critters like chinchillas, a turtle, a rabbit, and of course fish. I had used this app for a short time but in March 2020 I moved to Utah to work in the National Park Service. Since I was over an hour away from civilization I deactivated my account but continued to house sit for my co-workers and friends that had dogs and cats. I now work full time but I would love the extra cuddles on my off days. During my off days I am able to visit for a walk/ feeding/ or checkup any time of the day or spend the whole day with your pet if you would like. During my work days I can not visit from 8AM-5:30PM But I am willing to do overnight visits on my work days. I will send you texts and photos during my visits or walks. If that is something you do not want please let me know. I love to check in and let you know what is going on. I do not offer visits at my home

10. Shemoy S.
About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a child. My siblings and I used to feed and care for stray cats in our neighborhood. And after getting my own pet Spike at 10 I started dog/cat sitting for my family members. As an adult I’ve long since moved away from my childhood home and unfortunately had to leave spike behind as my parents have grown very fond of him. However I’ve adopted and cared for senior cats as a way to make them comfortable as they near the end of their journey. I now have 2 cats of my own that I took in as strays and I would do anything for those girls. I have a very flexible schedule. I’m available weekdays and weekends as well as overnight. I typically respond within an our more often less depending on if I’m with pets or not as I like to give my undivided attention when I’m with furbabies I don’t know very well as some can be a bit cheeky. I will always ask for feeding schedules, likes and dislikes or overall personality traits. I never scratch or touch at first without the pet’s showing that they are ok with being touched. I like to give my pets all my attention and try to provide them with plenty of play and enrichment.

12. Alanna J.
About: Hi! I’m Alanna! The most important part of animal care is reading animal behavior. I am fortunate to have grown up around all kinds of animals, so reading their behavior is second nature to me (I even studied animal psychology in college!). Here is a list of some animals I have cared for: horses, dogs, cats, snakes, ferrets, amphibians, ducks, bunnies, birds, turtles, lizards, goats, turkeys, rodents etc. I have also tended to and released various wildlife such as barn swallows, mice, opossum, squirrels, ducks, rabbits, snakes. I recently moved back home from Florida, where I would pet/house sit often by word of mouth only- never advertised. I have experience tending to special needs pets too. I currently have 3 dogs (plus a horse) and they are my best friends! That means I can walk multiple dogs at a time :) I retired from a full time microbiology career and now work remotely. I have full time availability for your pet care needs and make it a priority. With every potential booking I always set up a meet a greet where we go over your pet's specific needs. If care notes are not provided- I always take my own during our meeting. My number one policy is BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. I always adhere to this and your guidelines to provide the best care. This way everyone’s experience is enjoyable and as stress free as you can be when away from your family members. Additionally, I am a self sufficient in home sitter- the only trace I leave is a happy pet!

I'm located on a spacious 8 acre property with separate fencing, plenty of room to roam and play. If your pet loves kids, there's several (all above the age of 5) for them to enjoy. I'm currently on my parent's farm, and they prefer not to have visitors here, but I'll happily meet clients to pick up / drop off at home or in a public meeting place.
