“Cara did a great job with three larger dogs. Two lap Labs and an old boxer mix. Our concern was how the old boxer would get along with her. Cola immediately warmed up and Cara gave us regular updates through photos. I'd recommend her.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life till now. So I miss the puppy love and walks for sure. I can administer medications. (Oral as well as shot) I can sit the dog and your house while you relax knowing your babies are safe with someone trustworthy. I work early in the mornings usually so have time for afternoon walks and spend the night times with your animals. I’m very trustworthy and flexible and know how people are with loving and caring for their pets. I have two cats that don’t socialize with other animals. And I have a special needs birdy. I can dog or kitty sit in your house no problem. I’ve also been on a health journey so the more walks the better!!

About: I have been around animals, especially dogs my whole life. I have three labs and my one lab has had puppies before so I have been around puppies as well. I have had big dogs and small dogs, so i’m comfortable around any size. I have pet sat for neighbors/family/friends etc. I am pretty flexible towards the afternoon and night. I am currently finishing out the semester, so in 2-3 weeks I will be a lot more free to do more drop ins! Not looking to pet sit at my house, but am available to come to drop ins! I can take your pets for walks/ play fetch/ feed/ and just hangout!

Ashlee provided the dogs with exercise above what was asked, she cleaned up the house before she left (including the not so fun task of picking up poop from the yard!), and she kept my mind at ease knowing my dogs were in good hands. “I am a little late in getting out this review, but in no way was it because I was disinterested or not wanting to do so..On the contrary, I absolutely felt the need to write this because of the loving service I felt my family had received from this Pet Sitter. Our family has 2 pets, a dog(Susy) and a cat(Milu) and like most on this site, we deem them to be our precious little babies. They never have really been away from the family for any great length of time, so finding someone to watch and care for them was very important to us. My family was to be in South America for a week, while I was away from home that same time for my work. I had found a Pet Sitter very close to our home for Susy, but could not find anyone for Milu. After much searching, I realized the Rover website and there found numerous Pet Sitters available for Milu. After much searching, we were able to procure the services of a Sitter on Rover and set the contract. Then, with 1 week before our departure, the contractor informed us that she had to cancel our reservation because of health issues in her immediate family and would not be in the area during the needed time. That really put us in dilemma to find someone in such short time. So we searched the Rover site and found several, but all the family agreed to contact Melissa... There were several things that greatly impressed us about Melissa. First there were the reviews. While there were not many, Melissa's reviews were actually very accurate and factual about the care that our Milu would receive. They spoke of the great love she had for animals, as we all experienced firsthand. As I had mentioned, our babies had not been away from us and Milu is very timid with strangers. So, we were surprised when we actually brought her to Melissa and after Milu s brief inspection of her new abode (Lol), she was right there, on the couch and happy as can be. I know that animals sense our love for them and I was amazed at how comfortable she was at that time. Later photos, which Melissa sent through the week, also confirmed how tranquil our precious niña was. In fact, when I returned a week later for Milu, she went to Melissa, not to me and she actually cried when I took her away. That experience was special to me and I knew then that our family had made the correct decision in choosing Melissa. Another proof to me that Milu was very comfortable there, was how she interacted with Melissa's young son. Normally, she runs and hides from children, but the pictures showed her actively playing with the boy! I have never seen her do this with any other children, but my own. I can think of no other magic that could have done that, but love. Yes, I am and family are so pleased with the decision we made to contract Milu's care with Melissa. I think that anyone who loves their pet would also have the same impressions with Melissa's care. I almost never write reviews, but felt the need to express my thoughts and feelings with this one. Thank you Melissa for taking care of our Milu! And, I actually do think that Milu misses you!!!!”

About: I have a deep love for all animals and have had dogs in my life since I was young. I have fed dogs on a set schedule, walked them, and have helped dogs learn basic commands. I love dogs of any kind and will provide the best care! I also have experience with cats, and the cat in my profile pictures is mine! Her name is Milly and I have absolutely enjoyed life so much more since I adopted her in 2021! I work from home and am out and about for work constantly! That makes me availability pretty open through out the day. Weekends I am free. I am able to crate your dog if needed and will make sure they’re safe while they are in my care. I will do my best to make your dog feel safe with me while you’re gone!
