“Lovely house and neighborhood. Great yard. Very kind and gentle with my dog. Followed care instructions. Great communication and sent pictures while I was away. Highly recommend”

“I cannot recommend Kathryn highly enough. Our little dog Ruthie loved her stay and I loved the speedy communication and top notch care of our pup. She got 2 long walks a day and was treated with kindness and love like she was one of Kathryn’s own dogs! I have never felt more comfortable or pleased with dog care- it was a vacation for our furry family member! Thank you so much!”

“Larissa did an amazing job keeping me updated and taking care of Henry! She sent great photos and let me know how he was doing throughout his stay. She has a great fenced backyard and her home was clean and comfortable, and she was so incredibly friendly and accommodating when I had to adjust my pickup time. I will definitely have her dog sit again!”

“Jeleesa was welcoming, accommodating and wonderful. She was diligent in asking all about Daisy’s routine, likes, dislikes and whatever she needed to make sure she had a great stay. Sent regular updates and was always helpful. Would definitely utilize her services again.”

“Lorena was great with our puppy Basil over our long weekend away! He got lots of playtime and personal attention, and she kept up very well with the training we were working on with him. He came back to us happy and totally tuckered out. We'll definitely have Basil over with her in the future.”

“We're repeat clients, and it's always a great experience. Kyon truly enjoys his time with this family! Yeny and Ray are warm, welcoming, and treat every pet as if they were their own. Their genuine love and care for animals really shines through.”

“Our girls were loved and very well cared for. 🩷 As parents, we could not ask for more. Svetlana is compassionate for your fur babies and you the parents. 🥰 We received videos that helped us to enjoy our time away, because we didn't have to wonder how they were doing. We are grateful for Svetlana. 🐾”

“Tiffany is truly the BEST! She really is my dog’s second mama. He loves her and gets excited to see her and spend time with her family. She’s very present with her communication and always makes sure I’m in the loop. I get regular photos and videos of my pup which puts my mind at ease. If you are looking for someone 100% trustworthy to look after your fur baby, Tiffany is your person!! I’ve been looking working with her for over 3 years now.”

“Tracey, is amazing with dogs and puts up with my active two year old Golden doodle. She is super flexible and is willing to work with you if you need to change your time for drop off or pick up. She is warm and loving and I know my dog is in good hands with her.”

“Camryn and her husband cared for my two cats while my husband is on vacation. They sent us updates and were flexible with drop off and pick up. They were accompanying to my cats needs and they were happy and healthy upon pick up. Definitely will be requesting their services again!”

“Marah was great! My two pups stayed with Marah and her family for two nights and I know they were well taken care of. I got daily updates and photos. My dogs had lots of fun snuggling with her two sweet children and playing fetch in the backyard.”

“Yoda spent 10 days with Seyla, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! She had such a great time that I’m pretty sure she thought she was on vacation. 😂 Seyla is an excellent animal caretaker, and you can immediately tell how much he genuinely loves animals. All of the animals in his care are incredibly well looked after—plenty of walks, good food, lots of attention, playtime, and fun. Staying at Seyla’s house is basically like going to a doggie resort! The dogs get to play, run around, swim, and just have the best time. One of the things I appreciated most was how communicative Seyla was. He sent me multiple videos of Yoda every single day, so even though I was away for 10 days, I felt like Yoda never really left me. I could see how happy, comfortable, and well cared for she was throughout her entire stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. Seyla is also incredibly accommodating. My friend was supposed to pick Yoda up for me, but his flight was delayed by a day. I contacted Seyla, and he had no problem extending Yoda’s stay for an extra night. I would absolutely trust Seyla with Yoda again. Knowing that she is somewhere safe, loved, well cared for, and having the time of her life makes traveling so much easier. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who will treat their dog like one of his own. Yoda will definitely be back! ❤️🐶”

“Another amazing stay! Always very communicative, great updates, Mishka absolutely loves the family. Absolutely one of the best experiences we’ve had with Rover. Would 100% recommend.”

“Kelsi was great! She was able to take care of my dog on short notice when my original plans fell through. I received plenty of photos while Noda was boarded and she seemed to have a great time. I would highly recommend Kelsi!”

“Jen was great with our super skiddish dog who doesn’t have much experience with other animals or people but Jen ensured she would do great! I got pics everyday and she’s so quick to respond! Definitely rebooking with her in the future!”

“Tiffany and David were willing to watch our dog with only a week's notice for 2 nights. They took excellent care of our Maybelline and provided a photo showing Maybelline enjoying being pet. We ran slightly behind picking up Maybelline, and Tiffany and David accommodated. We greatly appreciate their flexibility and service and will absolutely use their services again in the future.”

“Cheralyn is absolutely amazing with our corgi! It's been difficult to find someone to care for our pup as she is on a rigorous medication schedule for epilepsy. Cheralyn keeps us updated on her with photos and shows genuine concern regarding making sure our pup is safe and well cared for. Thank you so much for being so trustworthy and reliable with your care Cheralyn!”

96% of sitters in Haymount can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
