“Robyn has been the best with our puppy! She also is very accommodating with our schedule within reason for both of us and is an OUTSTANDING communicator. 10/10 recommend her for all your pet needs”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple animals throughout my life, such as dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, ducks, and chickens. I’m very reliable and will make sure to follow directions on how you want your animal taken care of. I am currently a student and have a part time job, but I also have a lot of free time on my hands making this type of job perfect for me. I live in an apartment complex close to UCF and have one cat. I have taken care of multiple dogs as I have 4 back home (they do not live with me currently they are at my residence with my family)
“Jan was amazing with Minion and his care. She was punctual, attentive, and made sure to let me know of anything she saw. She gives the absolute best updates too! Her attention to detail with our meet and greet gave me confidence but she really knocked it out of the oark with her stellar care. Weird measure metric I know but whenever we're away, his coat gets oily like he gets sad and doesn't clean himself. When we got home today he was happy, clean, and soft. So I know for sure he really enjoyed her company. I absolutely recommend her and will reach out to her for our future pet sitting needs.”

“Tabitha checks in on my pups when I am at work. She takes them out and plays with them. She is always response to messages and is kind. 10/10 recommend her for pet sitting services.”
“I moved here not knowing anyone and needed someone to come let my babies out 2 times a week. She came and met me and the pups; and we instantly loved her! She truly loves and cares so much for them just like her own! She is dependable and so sweet; and we will continue to rebook every week with her! Me and the pups are so thankful for her!”

“I had to cancel a few days prior to my scheduled booking due to pet becoming very sick. Christine was very understanding and her concern for my pet was very reassuring. Thank you Christine! I will definitely book you again!! ❤️”

“Outstanding Cat Sitter — Above and Beyond! Rebekah was absolutely wonderful with our two cats, Sadie and Bella! During the five days Rebekah cared for our girls, we received updates twice a day, always with great photos and videos. Every message was thoughtful and “newsy,” and Rebekah never hesitated to respond whenever we reached out, which gave us the total peace of mind everyone wants while out of town. One of our cats, Sadie, worked herself into such a state that she developed diarrhea even before we left. When we let Rebekah know, she suggested adding pumpkin to Sadie’s diet—and voilà! Problem solved. We were so impressed by Rebekah’s attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine care for our cats. We came home to two happy, well‑cared‑for girls and couldn’t be more grateful. This was the first time we have used Rover or worked with Rebekah, but it absolutely won’t be the last. We highly recommend Rebekah and would book again in a heartbeat!”

“Caitlin is great with our three cats, and she is accommodating to one of them who has special care instructions. We are regular clients of hers, and she always leaves our home clean. The cats also receive excellent care while we’re away. I highly recommend her!”

“Tara did an excellent job, especially with communication. I felt informed & the dogs loved her! They definitely enjoyed having play time & snacks with her. She really went above & beyond, even offering to water my plants. Thank you again! ♥️”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 5 years old. I love to walk dogs, throw balls, and pet cats and dogs. Feeding and walking on owners schedule. I can always work around your pet’s schedule. About: I have been caring for animals my entire life as a child, wildlife rehabilitator and as a wildlife biologist. For the last year and a half I have built a very nice reputation as a dependable and loving pet sitter. I have watched dogs, cats and birds! I have taken care of many senior dogs as well as a few puppies. Needless to say I’m not afraid of a pee pad or pill bottles! I work remotely and choose my hours, meaning, I can be with your animals at all time if need be. I do not mind staying with them 24/7 while you are away. It also means you can contact me any time that you need too. I live on a dead end road with very low traffic and have a very large yard. We will also go for nice walks down to the river where our road ends and a trail leads out to the river. My two main borders often do not want to leave or they want to come back home with me. It’s a great spot for dogs, whether they need to be leashed or not. If I am staying at your house I will always follow their normal routine. I really like for my clients to leave a note with food instructions, treat instructions, medicine, and daily routine. I also like to have a just incase number (neighbor or family member in the area) and the veterinarian. This is all just incase of an emergency and to make sure your pet stays safe and has the best time possible with me.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Havelock
Rebekah did a great job taking care of my 2 cats. After reading her background with animals, I felt comfort in her caring for my fur babies. That was confirmed with her punctuality and updates with how my cats were doing every day. I also appreciated her coming to meet both me and the cats prior to caring for them!

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
