“Brittney was nothing short of amazing!! She met with us and our 3 large energetic labs and 1 small poodle, they were very excited to see her and she handled them without blinking. She was calm, focused, personable and kind. We booked brittney to watch them at our home for 6 days and she showed up 2x a day without issue. Feedings and playtime was her priority and she never missed her times. brittney kept us up to date on their well being with daily pictures and comments. Without Brittney and the peace of mind she provided my wife and I we could not have left for 6 days to go and enjoy our daughter’s wedding. Thank you so very much Brittney Can’t wait to book you again”
“Amanda was amazing and helped me out in a last-minute pinch. The dogs loved her and she provided detailed updates and top notch communication. Would definitely work with her again!”

About: My mom has a pet sitting business and I became a pet sitter and trainer when I was in highschool! After highschool, I became a vet tech working during summer and winter breaks before I got accepted to vet school to become a veterinarian. I’m very comfortable taking your pups on walks but also taking care of your pets needs including medical needs! I’m currently on summer break as I’m a veterinary student so I have plenty of free time! I’m happy to take care of your pups walking needs while you’re at work or to take care of them while you’re out of town! Whatever you need I’m happy to accommodate! I would come to your home so your pets feel most comfortable in their normal environment! Whether they need crating, walks, meds or more, I’m happy to do what’s needed.
About: I’m 24 years old and I’ve not know a day without animals in my life. I grew up on a farm and I couldn’t imagine life now without my three Boston terriers! I am comfortable with all pet types and have experience caring for exotic animals such as large and small birds, reptiles especially ball pythons, geckos, and bearded dragons. Rodents like mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils and chinchillas. As well as farm animals like cows, horses, pigs, chickens, goats, and sheep. I enjoy caring for all kinds of animals! Let me know what your babies need and we’ll work something out! I am a small business owner and I make my own schedule. I’m home most hours of most days. I live 10 minutes away from my business and never leave my dogs for more than 4 hours at a time without letting them out to potty. I WILL PET SIT FOR ANY ANIMAL NOT JUST DOGS AND CATS. I have experience specifically with non venomous snakes and other reptiles like bearded dragons, leopard and crested geckos etc. for the pups I have a 6 feet tall fenced in yard. My three Bostons terriers are crate trained and dog friendly. I am able to keep them separate completely from boarding dogs if need be.
“Caitlin is a wonderful sitter. I have booked with her twice to watch my 2 cats, and she has been extremely accommodating and goes above and beyond to make sure your pets are both happy and cared for. Will continue to book with her in the future!”

I have a flexible work schedule! I can do drop ins before work, during lunch, and anytime after work (usually I’m off work by 3pm) ! Anything to meet your accommodations I keep the home tidy, refresh food and water bowls, clean litter boxes or pet areas, and ensure doors and gates are secure. I also provide regular updates with photos and notes so owners feel confident and connected while they’re away. My goal is for each pet to feel safe, happy, and well cared for in their own familiar environment, keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible!
“Summer is amazing. She is so kind, loving and patient with my animals. I could not ask for better care. Everyday, when I leave, I tell my dogs "don't worry, Auntie Summer will be here soon"... they love her and her joy of caring for them shines through.”

About: I’ve never gone a day in my life without a dog, and they’ve always been family — never just animals in the house. That same love and respect is what I bring to every pet I care for. With two years of experience as a veterinary assistant, I’m comfortable walking, feeding, playing, and giving oral or topical medications. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality so they feel safe, understood, and truly cared for while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely to keep routines consistent. I double-check doors, gates, leashes, and feeding instructions to ensure safety at all times. I take time to make pets feel comfortable and calm in their own environment, keeping things clean and organized before I leave. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely at ease. We had a wonderful experience with Addison! She took excellent care of our cats, followed all of our instructions carefully, and gave us real peace of mind while we were away. What really stood out was how she went above and beyond—she even helped us troubleshoot an issue with our heating/AC unit while we were gone. That meant so much to us. We came home to happy, well-cared-for kitties and felt confident they were in great hands the entire time. We would absolutely book with her again!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
