About: Hello! My name is Sarah Zarlenga. I am an absolute animal person. I couldn't imagine life without a dog or other animal companion by my side. We tend to have an immediate understanding and bond that is indescribable with words alone. That being said, I have 1 canine friend of my own. He's a Papillon/Rat Terrier named Little Guy. I have also cared for over 60 large, hound breed dogs at once on a daily basis for a dog rescue in Texas for over 2 years, and I volunteered and worked for another dog and horse rescue with several breeds including huskies and pit bulls for over 3 years. I also helped care for the rescued horses, cats, & chickens & ducks, so I have experience with their care as well. Furthermore, I helped out at an Aussie breeder for about a year. I have also learned service dog training techniques, and am well versed in basic obedience training from the time I had my first Chocolate Lab puppy at age 7. I would be happy to lend a caring and helping hand to you and your animals when the need arises. I only wish to treat you and your animals as if I were an extended family member to ensure a proper fit for premium care for all involved! Feel free to send me a message if you'd like to get to know me further, and hopefully plan a care visit. Thank you for stopping by to become acquainted! Why I love dog sitting I have loved dogs ever since I can remember. We had a few dogs when I was a small child, but the one we had the longest (from 2 months old till the end of her life at 13 years) was a super sweet & intelligent Chocolate Lab whom we called Angel. Her and I grew up together. I would take her on walks and play with her all of the time. Later on, I lived with my dad and he got us a puppy who grew to become a 125 lb Belgian Shepherd named Buddy, so I would take him for walks and to play at the dog park. Now, I have 1 dog of my own who I consider to be my fuzzy child. I love spending time playing with him in the yard, taking him for walks, and grooming & caring for him. I also give him nutritious treats (like vegetables) which he absolutely loves! He is spoiled with all of my love and affection. All of the amazing experiences with dogs & other animals in my life have inspired me to work closely with them on a daily basis in order to cultivate a healthy and renewed symbiotic relationship between animals and humans that can grow stronger in each new generation. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medication in the form of pills. I also have a little experience administering shots. I am currently a stay-at-home-mom caring for my young daughter & toddler son. We take walks with our dog. The kids and I would be able to take your dog for a walk using a stroller if needed. I treat the animals I care for with respect, and I am always paying close attention to their signals. I will make sure the environment I walk them in is safe and will always pay close attention to our surroundings to ensure a pleasant walk.
“Thankful for Abigail. She made sure my Sky dog had plenty of water and always turns my alarm back on when the walk is complete. She is easy to communicate with over text and I love seeing the pictures of Sky before and after the walks.”

I have also taught our dogs some tricks, like shake, sit, & fist bump.
About: Ive been around dogs a lot. I have 3 of my own. One named Hope. She’s more active, and needs alot of playtime. So I’m definitely good at managing that. One name is Oakley, he likes to be babied and cuddled. Ones name is Hank, and he is just the chillest dog haha. I already have dogs so I work 24/7 with my own. I have a lot of time on my hands so I’m free whenever. Anytime you just need a break I can come help, when you’re gone. I’ll do it. I give baths, I walk them, I play ball/fetch with them. I take them potty, feed them, give them treats. I do all the things it takes to take care of a dog, the same way you would treat a baby.
About: Hi! I’m Katy, and I would love to care for your pets while you’re away. I’m a full-time music therapist, which means patience, attentiveness, and compassion are a big part of my everyday life. I bring that same calm and caring approach to every animal I look after. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just relaxing company, I’m happy to meet them where they are and make sure they feel comfortable and safe. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I’m always happy to send updates and photos so you know they’re doing well. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away! I am available every day. Usually will check-in during mornings and evenings on weekdays. I am available all day for weekends. I am very thorough and flexible. Please message me so I can fit your exact schedule! I focus on keeping pets comfortable by following their normal routines as closely as possible. In a client’s home, I make sure pets are fed on schedule, get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention, and have a calm and safe environment. I also keep the home tidy and send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is doing well.
“Katie’s first day with dog walking was a success. I loved her pictures and very complete reports. On the meet and greet Brody loved Katie. Katie is obviously a dog lover and knows and understands how to make them happy and content.”

About: I love bonding and interacting with the families and their pets. I love the enjoyment of animals and giving them extra love while their owners are away! I work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but I'm able to stop by during my lunch break for potty breaks, walks, feedings, and check-ins when needed. Before and after work, I dedicate plenty of time to walks, playtime, cuddles, and keeping pets on their normal routine. On evenings and weekends, I have even more flexibility to give your pet the attention, love, and care they deserve. I can't currently have animals stay in my home. But depending on what the client is looking for, I can drop by their home and visit or stay with that animal if need be.
About: I would love to meet your fur babies. I'm retired from 35 yrs as a Social Worker. Now, I can pet sit full time. Call or text with any questions or to book my services! I'm able to come to your home while you're away! Whether you're working extra long hours or away on vacation, I can watch your pets when you are gone from home. I only watch pets in their home environments. This is less stressful/traumatic on pets, than a kennel stay. Also, your pet will avoid getting diseases from the other animals at kennel. I don't charge per pet or per size fees either!
About: Prior to college I worked Noah's Caring Hands on Sunnyside Road as a pet care specialist. I worked there for almost 4 years, and I am experienced in all ranges of dog/cat ages and needs. Additionally, I have experience administering medication to animals and following specific dietary needs. I am experienced with daycare and boarding animals, and would be more than happy to care for your furry friend! I am available to cat/dog sit and walk for a majority of the weekends or evenings! I am pretty flexible after 4 pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends. I had a 17 year old dog whom I administered medications and treatments for throughout his long lifespan. Additionally I have a kitten. While my dog was alive he enjoyed hugs and kisses especially after medication time! After working with him for years and the other animals at the veterinary hospital I have become used to all age ranges and medical needs of each animal (cat and dog).

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Harmony. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.
The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Harmony after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.
Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
