“Hayleigh was absolutely incredible during her check‑in visits with Luna and Charles over the past couple weeks. Her communication was flawless—transparent, detailed, and consistent every single day. I always knew exactly how the pups were doing, and it was clear they adored her. She cared for them as if they were her own, and that peace of mind is priceless. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

About: My neighbors have trusted me for years to look after their dogs, cats, and bunnies. Both elderly and baby animals all safe and very happy. Also side note if you ask I recently got a new camera and I can take pictures of your pets for you, id do it for free I need the practice anyways! I work at crumbl part time, I will visit 3 times a day providing exercise and games to keep your pets active. Im particular about my work, and I will keep an eye out for anything out of place In my clients house I play fetch, clean the water bowl every 2-3 days, and ensure it is a clean and enjoyable environment per personality.

“This is the second time I’ve had Alyssa watch my pups. She is always so easy to communicate with, treats my sweet pups like her own, and is always giving updates on how they are doing. Will definitely continue to book her!”

“Debra was attentive, leaving great notes and photos each day so that I would be updated and kept in the loop. I was also lucky that she was able to work in my last minute job and offered to come by for a very last minute meet and greet which was so very appreciated! I would highly recommend!”

About: I’ve dog sat and taken care of family, friends, neighbors, etc pets since I was about 16 years old. I currently work as a dog handler and have experience with dog walking and caring for animals of all ages. Some of these more specific tasks include bathing, feeding, walking, and of course loving on each fur baby! I have a huge passion for animals and have goals to become a certified dog trainer within the next year or two! I currently work 30-40 hours a week as a dog handler but have flexibility in my schedule. While my week to week schedule differs, I always ensure I make time to care for my dog and any other animal that’s in my care. Wednesday and Thursday evenings are more busy for me but I can be flexible when needed! If leaving the house, regardless of if my or someone else’s animal is trained to be off leash, I always have the animal on a leash. You never know what may spook an animal and I want to ensure their safety and well being is of top priority. If I am entering a fenced area that is not their own home, I will keep the animal on a leash to sniff around and gather its surroundings until they are more comfortable. If entering home with an animal that is not familiar with me, I will give the animal time to warm up to me. This includes but is not limited to, getting on the animals level, not forcing it to do something it’s visibly uncomfortable with, allowing the animal to sniff and get used to my presence and administer treats if allowed by the owner. I’m big on communication so I can/will send photos/videos to the owner upon their request and whenever I feel they are needed to keep the owner in the loop and to ease any worry about their pet being in good hands!:)
“Dave was very friendly, punctual, well groomed, and dependable. He came to our home for the meet and greet, and the animals responded very well to him, so we knew that he would be great. He sent pictures, he took our dog for walks, and we would definitely recommend him to anyone.”
“Kelly did an incredible job taking care of our babies. We felt good leaving them in her hands. She sent the cutest pictures and was consistent with her check in times. We would use her again 100 times!”

“Kristina watched our cat while we were on vacation and I can’t say enough good things about our experience with her. This was our first time using Rover so we were a little unsure of what to expect but after meeting Kristina and her first visit, any of our worries were gone. She went above and beyond what we expected, not only with our cat but with the house (picked up mail, watered a few plants, etc). She will definitely be our go to going forward and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

Exceptional! David took care of our two dogs & 3 cats during a short vacation for our family. He was available to us relatively last minute, handled our (at times) difficult pup with patience and excellent care (they became fast friends!), and kept us fully updated with check-ins and photos. And on the day of our return when our flight was delayed then cancelled, David accommodated two additional visits very literally at the last minute. We were so grateful for his availability and care! There’s not enough gratitude I could extend here and highly recommend his care. Thank you David, again, for going above and beyond for our crew!

We were happy to find someone to feed our cats and take care of the litter boxes. However the day we arrived home we both noticed that the front door was unlocked. I'm thinking it's because in order to leave the key we told her she could exit the garage, so she may have forgotten to lock the front door at the end of her visit. Our neighbor noticed her coming and going several times and said she spent about 15 minutes each visit which makes sense since our cats hide when strangers come in, so to be fair there wasn't anything she could do after feeding and cleaning the litter boxes. The price is a bit steep though...15 minutes a day for 14 days equals $100 per hour, so no, we don't feel the need to leave a tip. Overall we feel she did her job well.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hamlet. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
