About: I have been caring for dogs and cats for over 32 years, I have worked as a kennel assistant at 17 for Lake Houston Animal Clinic and was a Kennel Manager for 4 years for Best Friends Pet Resort in Spring, Tx. I have experience and knowledge with different breeds as well as specific character traits of most breeds. I fostered with Montgomery County Animal Shelter for roughly 4 years and I'm used to administering both oral and injected medication and am familiar with many different health issues. I have been pet sitting off and on since 2005 as, I have a good client base but I'm looking to expand my business. I love dogs and cats....we speak each other's language! Its a joy to be able to care for other's furbabies while I'm out running errands, in between work schedules or even just enjoying the day. Being with the animals is a joy and not a just a job. I pet sit from the client's home so that thier furbaby can remain in the comfort of their own home while mom and/or dad are away.

About: I’ve had animals my whole life. Dogs, cats, snakes, lizards or anything that would come home with me. I currently have 3 dogs, one is a partially blind and completely deaf Aussie mix. And then I have a Catahoula mix and a shihtzu mix as well as a cat. I’ve trained them over the years I’ve had them while working a full time job and living alone. I’m extremely patient when comes to the higher energy dogs that usually frustrate people, and I’m used to working around special needs. Animals have always been my biggest passion, regardless of if they have fur or scales! I owned 2 horses over the last 10 years, and volunteered at the barn I had one of my horses boarded at, so I had to feed and tend to 15 horses on my days to feed. Regardless of what kind of pet you have furry or scaly, they will be taken care of as if you were still home doing it yourself! I’m not working right now, but I am a new mom. I’m able to do drop ins and walks after 6pm for anyone who is uncomfortable or who’s furry friends don’t like kids! My little is only 2 months old, so he stays in a baby wrap on me for drop ins and walks before 6pm and I either wear him or put him in the stroller for walks. But that depends on the dog and their comfortability. After 6pm dad is home and can watch little so I can be baby free! Dogs are still a very important part of my life. All pets in my care will be cared for exactly how the paw-rents see fit! Being an equestrian I’m used to caring for multiple animals and them all having different needs and demands! I will play with your pet so they get plenty of mental and physical stimulation while you’re away to make it easier on them! Reactive dogs are welcome as long as we can be safely introduced and proper tools to keep everyone safe are available! My deaf dog is reactive, so I understand how hard it can be to trust them with another person.

About: I had an energetic yellow lab for 11 years. She taught me how to be a good dog mom. Now I take care of 6 dogs and 1 cat on my property in Jasper. They are all rescues and really keep me on my paws with their feeding, playing, walking, vet visits and bath times. I currently work part time from home and am able to be flexible and available. I like to time out from my desk work to get outside and walk. Having a furry companion is always flexible. I have reliable transportation and can travel within 15 miles of my home to check in on doggies or kittehs! I have a large fenced in yard with several rescues living outside. I keep two small, older dogs inside and do not currently have the space for anymore inside doggies.

About: People always ask me to dog sit their fur babies because they know how much I love animals! I’ve had pets since I was a little girl. I currently have an 8 month old Shih Tzu and a Maine Coon cat. Both are great with other animals. I am available any time, day or night. I am a real estate agent, so I set my own hours, which is very convenient. I mostly work from home, unless I’m out showing houses or attending closings. I am married and have two little girls that are ages 7 and 11 years old. My daughters are also animal lovers, and love helping me take care of other people’s pets. We have a large front yard and a long driveway, so there is plenty of room to run, and we are not too close to the main road. Their are lots of trees and neighbors are pretty spread out.

About: I’ve taken care of my friends, family, and neighbors animals my whole life! Dogs, cats, reptiles, and farm animals I take care of quite often. I have extensive knowledge regarding care for all species, their diets, their behavior, medical care and more. I have a deep love for making pets feel safe and happy, and avoiding stress for them as much as possible and I can work with whatever behavioral needs they may have. I work at an animal shelter as well, and I’m currently in school to become a veterinary technician. With these resources I am very knowledgeable in every aspect of animal care and am equipped with my resources and training to ensure safety and comfortably with and from your animal. Animal care is every part of my life and what I want to devote my life to. I’m working at an animal shelter part time for the summer, so I can fit in morning feeds and be there all afternoon and night for your animals! The safety of animals is my top concern. At my current job at the shelter I’m well informed on safety protocols for all animals, especially reactive or scared dogs. I’m very comfortable and knowledgeable in this care. And that goes for any species. I have two cats and two reptiles at home, and I take every precaution for feeding and interacting between all of them to avoid any tension or stress on my animals. About: I’ve watched all kinds of pets for eight years! I’ve owned my own dog since I was 16, and she and I have been on our own for five years, healthy and happy. I’ve watched my friends’, family’s, and neighbor’s animals with great attention. I’ve taken care of service dogs, sick pets, disabled pets, and pets who need a lot of attention in addition to the more low-maintenance furry friends. My passion is to help all animals live their happiest and healthiest lives while their best friend’s are away. I am moving to Chattanooga at the end of August and would love to be a friend and companion to your pet. My schedule is very flexible, and I can easily prioritize your needs. I am happy to follow a strict routine for your pets. If they have a special diet, medication schedule, walking schedule, or play time, I will happily work with that. I know how important it is to have someone actually follow your requests, so feel free to call me or text me any time you want photos or videos of your pet while they’re in my care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
