“Allyson was awesome to work with! She was fast to respond and very accommodating and flexible. Our dog came home very tired so we knew she had a good time staying with Allyson. Will definitely rebook and recommend to others!”

“Excellent sitter. Took great care of my dachshund over the weekend. Big fenced in yard, lots of room for the dogs to play. He was so exhausted when he got back which is no easy feat! Great communication, loves dogs, easy to work with. Highly recommend!”

“This was a fantastic experience for our first time using this service. They made our pups feel at home and safe. We would definitely go with them again if we are in the area. Lots of great updates and I genuinely think they didn't want to see the pups go home!”

“Jacob was wonderful. He understood my concern for our dog Bella and kept me informed. He was also flexible with our pickup time which was much appreciated. Thank you Jacob!!”

“Finny’s stay with Jennifer and her family was awesome. I got updates on how my girl was doing throughout the stay and she was very happy. When I picked her up she was happy, relaxed and loved. I will definitely use Jennifer again. Thanks for the great care!”

“Both my Dogs Neil and Sophie loved Korah. Korah comb their hair daily (including putting a top knot in Sophie hair). Her updates were the best - my dogs were snuggling up to her and playing - gave me peace of mind while on vacation. House was left neat and clean and she even left a treat and a toy for the kids with a lovely thank you card. Very nice job”

“Amanda & her family are so great! It was so comforting to know while we were gone for 9 days that both of our dogs were so well cared for. She followed our instructions explicitly and sent us daily updates. It’s clear her family treats the dogs they watch as a member of their family. We will absolutely use Amanda in the future for needs.”

“Wendy was amazing! We had to board our pup for the first time over MDW last minute and thankfully Wendy was available! She made us feel so assured that our boy would be taken care of and well loved during his stay. She kept us posted daily with pictures and videos which helped us rest easy while we were missing our little guy! I would absolutely recommend Wendy to any pet parents!”

“Chris was amazing with our golden Wally— He made the process super easy and his confidence and ease with larger/active dogs was super helpful. He sent pictures and videos during his stay, and I could tell Wally loved all the outside time and exercise! Hope Chris is available next time!”

“I have never entrusted anyone with my dog before, but I can confidently say that I will never leave him with anyone other than Alia. When I went to pick him up, he was visibly excited to see me, but he barked at me while Alia had him on a leash. His barking is usually a sign of protectiveness, which instantly reassured me that he felt safe and secure with her. As he got closer and recognized me, his excitement became evident, but before leaving with me, he tried to run back towards Alia again, showing just how much he adored her. I didn't take offense to any of this; in fact, I was overjoyed because it demonstrated how much he enjoyed his time with her. If I could change one thing, it would be that she didn't always initiate updates through text. I felt like I had to reach out to get updates, but this didn't bother me because I understand that everyone has their own way of doing things. Perhaps she prefers to provide updates at the end of the day, and I just didn't give her the opportunity to do so since I wanted updates at the beginning of the day. I never communicated this expectation, so I can't fault her for it. Nonetheless, she was always responsive and would reply within the first 2-5 minutes. On the day of pickup, she even offered to give him a bath and blow dry for an additional cost, which I thought was a fantastic gesture. Who wants to bathe their dog after a vacation? Definitely not me! Overall, my experience with her was beyond exceptional, and I would rate it 10000/10. I highly recommend her services as she genuinely loves and cares for dogs. I will never choose anyone else. Plus, my dog came back smelling and looking amazing!”

About: I’ve watched my neighbors animals. I’ve had pets of my own. What sets me apart, I would say. My heart. I wish I could have animals full time. Just can’t where I am. I work full time during the week, home every weekend. I’ll always make time to care for your pet/pets! Treat them like they’re mine. Ty. I have a secure entrance and an extra door coming to my apartment. I’ll always make sure they are on a leash outside. And they are welcome anywhere inside
About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and honestly can’t remember a time when I wasn’t surrounded by pets. I’ve cared for dogs and cats for many years so I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities and needs. I regularly dog sit for friends and family, and I genuinely love it. Whether it’s walks, playtime, belly rubs, or just keeping them company, I show up with patience, energy, and a lot of love. I take pet care seriously, but I also truly enjoy it. Being around animals is my happy place. I probably like them more than humans, but I’ll let your pet be the judge of that. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine because I’m typically home and have a flexible schedule. I’m usually out for a couple hours most days, but otherwise I’m around and able to give pets plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. On weekends I’m also fairly flexible and either at home or doing low-key activities, so I can adjust easily to the needs of each pet. I enjoy making pet care a consistent part of my routine and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I provide calm, attentive care based on each pet’s needs and comfort level. In my home, I keep things very relaxed with lots of supervision, cuddle time, potty breaks, playtime, and regular outdoor walks on a leash. I also make sure pets are fed on schedule and always have fresh water. In a client’s home, I prefer to focus on walks and potty breaks or quick check-ins depending on what’s needed. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while sticking closely to their normal routine.
“My dog Kylo stayed with Kim and her family for the first time for about a week, and although it’s always a little nerve-wracking leaving him with a new sitter, especially for an extended length of time, Kim was gracious and communicative before and during my trip. She sent photos and even reached out when he had some tummy issues so we could help him feel well again. I’m truly grateful to have found her and will definitely book with her again.”

“Awesome sitters! They were flexible on pickup/dropoff times, sent lots of pictures, and really cared for our dogs. We never use sitters so we were nervous to be away from our dogs, but they took such great care of them and made us feel comfortable leaving them. Will definitely book them again in the future!”

About: Having had pets all my life, I really understand how special dogs and cats are. I promise to treat your furry family member with the same care, respect, and love that they would expect at home. I have a flexible schedule and would like to fill my free time. Although I plan to go back to school in January, I’ll still be available for pet sitting. I have a fenced yard where your pup can play freely, and a cozy, smoke-free home perfect for snuggles. Currently, I don't have any pets in my home, and I'm preparing my space to be comfortable, warm, and welcoming for stays.

About: Hi, I’m Bailey! 😄 I’ve had pets my whole life (30+ years) and have experience caring for dogs with extra needs, including daily insulin and neurological conditions. I currently have 2 cats, Mochi & Boba, and a dog, Charlie. Charlie loves making new doggie friends and would be happy to join on walks/drop ins if your dog is friendly, but no worries if they prefer solo time! I love dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and breeds. Whether it’s a walk, a trip to the park, or just some extra love and attention, I’m happy to give your pet the care they need! ❤️ I’m currently working part time so I’m pretty flexible! I’m most flexible on the weekends & evenings, but I’m happy to work with your schedule and find a time that works best for you & your pet. I’ll come to your home to check on, care for, and love on your fur babies! I will make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and playtime while you’re away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hale home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hale.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Hale sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
