“Scooby had a blast and has made new friends. Got to run and play all day and is even worn out a bit the next day. He has lots of energy and got to burn it off in a nice big spot with lots of TLC. Thank you Jess!!”

About: Hi! My name is Cora. I'm 67 and throughout my life I can't remember a time I haven't had a pet. Animals are constantly a huge part of my everyday life. I swear, I'm living for these animals! LOL! I live very close to the Avenue of the Giants. I noticed families needed a safe, caring spot for dogs to hang out while they explored the redwoods. My solution was to start a pet-sitting business on my property. The past few years have been full of belly rubs, cuddles and repeat clients. I'm excited to meet your fur babies! Pet care is my daily routine. I'm here serving my three dogs. I wake up to feed them and I walk them daily. They love to meet new friends! I have a fenced, sunny yard that is very close to redwood groves. I love to take a walk in the woods with dogs it makes me feel safer.

About: I have always been an animal lover since childhood and have taken care of a variety of pets of all sizes! I've helped raise puppies, taken care of senior dogs, and helped train good walking, bathing, and bathroom habits. Most animals respond very well to me. Also being a bigger person I have no trouble dealing with larger dogs. Very experienced in all areas of pet care. I am at home this summer until my college classes start in the fall to continue my degree in early childhood education. Weekends or evenings are not a problem for house sitting. Drop by mid-day walks anytime I'm available! I have a lot of availability and would love to spend my time with animals giving them quality care and attention. I am more than happy to watch your pets while you are away on vacation or gone for the day. I Can do drop bys or overnights depending on your preference and your animals needs. I have a large fenced yard that is great for animals if you need boarding. I have reliable transportation to get to and from. I can take them on walks in your neighborhood or go to a local dog park if you prefer. Very open to working with what is best for your animal. I have my own dogs at home but will leave them there while caring for your animal(s) unless you would like the socializing. We have two friendly larger male dogs that love to meet new dogs if you are interested in doggy day care or boarding. Our home has a large size dog door for pets to access the house at their convenience.

“This was Kiwi's second doggy daycare experience. She's not a very people-oriented pup (she maybe has the personality of a wolf cat combo), so we wanted to try out a sitter with a built-in pack for her to meet. She's still feeling fairly shy or apprehensive about doggy daycare, but seemed to have a good time nonetheless! She actually ate her dinner, which was a huge surprise since she doesn't even care to eat much when we are on vacation with her. And she spent some time sitting next to Melissa enjoying some pets, which is a pretty affectionate gesture for her. We are looking forward to having her spend some more time with Melissa and Alan in the near future!”

I tailor care to their unique & individual energy level and temperament, making sure they feel safe, loved, and engaged. Skills include: • Providing daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation • Administering medication and special dietary care • Following training cues and behavioral guidelines • Handling puppies, seniors, and animals with special needs • Ensuring safety and comfort during solo time or socialization • Offering basic grooming and cleanliness maintenance I’m dedicated to creating a fun, secure space for pets to thrive while their humans are away. I’m currently focused on getting a book published, which means my schedule can be flexible yet full—if you catch my drift. Working with animals not only keeps me inspired but also supports my growing business, which combines professional cleaning with attentive pet sitting. ⸻ Pet care is a meaningful and energizing part of my daily routine. Whether it’s morning walks, play sessions, feeding, or simply offering quiet companionship, I prioritize pets’ well-being and happiness every day. Because I’m currently working on publishing a book, I have the flexibility to dedicate focused, consistent time to each animal I care for. This means I can adapt my schedule to meet your pet’s specific needs—whether that’s extra playtime, medication administration, or simply being a calm presence while you’re away. Our family continues to heal from the loss of our beloved cat, Giraffe, last year. Caring for animals has been a vital source of comfort and strength as we embrace this new chapter. I’m dedicated to creating a clean, calm, and nurturing environment where pets feel safe and cherished. I look forward to providing thoughtful, reliable care for your furry family members while you’re away. Pet care is not just a job for me; it’s a source of inspiration and joy that fits naturally into my lifestyle and supports the balance I’m building in life here in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, my goal is always to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment tailored to their needs. In Your Home: I follow your routines closely — feeding schedules, exercise, medication, and any special instructions — so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. I keep their space clean, respect their boundaries, and offer companionship and playtime based on their personality and energy level. I also ensure your home stays tidy and secure while you’re away. In My Home: If your pet stays with me, they’ll be welcomed into a calm, comfortable space where I prioritize consistency and care. I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation. I’m attentive to signs of stress or discomfort and adjust accordingly to keep them happy and relaxed. No matter the setting, I treat every animal like family — with patience, respect, and affection — ensuring they feel safe and loved throughout their stay.

“Sonja is the best! Her beautiful place is not only dog paradise, but also a treat to see for two-legged parents as well. My dogs LOVE it there, and came home exhausted. Perfect for my long work days. She and Mike could not be better humans, so kind, loving, and very intelligent. I am so grateful that my fur-babies and I connected with them. Don't miss out on this rare "unicorn" opportunity. Thank you again, Sonja.”

“I came to Eureka for business for two days and needed to know my dog was safe and happy while I worked. Karen was very accommodating to my schedule and ensured Maggie had a great time with her and her two sweet dogs. Maggie had a great time.”

“Janice is a lifesaver!!! We were on our way to the redwood national park and realized that dogs are not allowed on most trails. So we had to find a sitter super last minute and she helped us out! Our dog has separation anxiety and this was the first time he didn’t miss us at all! He had so much fun playing with her dog and the other little dog she was caring for. She is very accommodating and super responsive. She also would send us pictures of our dog throughout the day! I would definitely hire her again and totally recommend her to everyone! She is an angel!”

“Took amazing care of Nami last minute. She got to make friends with his dogs and run around outside. I think she wanted to stay and play some more when I picked her up lolz highly recommend doggy daycare with Serjio.”

About: I've had large dogs since 1997. Currently I have 2 amazing dogs. A 3 legged great burnese, and a 1.2yr old burnese Mt. Dog. They are sweet and wonderful dogs with great manners and are super dog friendly. I also have 2 cats. Rick and Morty. They are a pair. Also very sweet and affectionate once they know you. They are indoor/outdoor 24/7 but avoid dogs. The love of my furry friends reflects who I am. I have 5 acres. This allows my dogs to mostly roam free as they stay close to home. It gives other dogs the opportunity to have a place to run around and play with other good dogs. There are also multiple leads amongst the property, as well as a gated and covered outside area if your pet isn't used to either of those situations. I spend almost all of my days working from home. So other than the occasional errand, I'm home. Otherwise, I exist for you and yours. My pets have water and food at all times. It's under a covered area so they are able to stay in the shade if they like. Otherwise my dogs are free to roam as they generally stay on the property. My property is not fenced. However with this undertaking dogs can be placed in the covered area when needed. They can be leaded if that's what you want. As well they are welcome in the house at any time. Your pets are free to relax anywhere they like. My dogs are very sweet and friendly. My 3 legged dog is not one to get to excited as he only has 3 legs. For the right dogs, my property is a paradise.

About: I am adventurous, active, and love to explore new places. I can’t wait to spend time with your dog walking around my area and exploring dog friendly activities around this area. We can stay home or go on an adventure to your liking. Snuggles and love are included at no extra charge. I can administer medications if needed and will follow any specific instructions to a tee. My dog is my baby and I would only want her to be treated as such. I have been very successful using Rover as a customer, so I know the quality of service you and your dog are expecting and I insist on delivering that to you. Walking, running, playing, fetching, snuggling, hugging, and giving praise for being a great dog is what I specialize in:)

About: I’ve watched animals for more than half of my life, and I will continue to help those who don’t have enough time to care for their furry friends! I’ve always had pets, just a part of the daily routine. Helps me get out of bed in the morning, and helps to go to sleep. If brought to my home, I have plenty of room for them to explore and play around in. But I rather be in the comfort of the animals own home, a place they feel safe.
