About: Traveling to Arcata for 10 weeks and happy to cat sit! There's something about cats and small dogs that just resonate. I have lived with cats, pigeons, parakeets, a pittie mix, and 2 small dogs in my home, and immediately adopted my own cat once I moved out. That being said, I vibe the strongest with cat energy (chihuahuas and other small dogs are also cats, believe me). I've been pet sitting across multiple platforms since I was 15 (now 31). If your pet is looking for a friend with a cozy vibe, I'm their gal :) I spend most of my time writing and making art at home, so we will have have plenty of time to bond. I will make sure they feel like someone loving and safe is still around while you are on your trip away. Excepting the other Rover sits, I work on a contract and freelance schedule, so my schedule is relatively flexible. Shoot me a message and let's see if we can make it work. I tend to bond easily with animals since my priority is keeping each pet comfortable in their own routine and home. About: Friends call my home a dog retreat and relaxation center. It's a quiet, country setting with room to run, plenty to explore, and comfortable lounging. I've been fostering dogs and puppies with Redwood Pals Rescue for years and am a vetted volunteer with the Humboldt County Animal Shelter. I'm happy to send you photos or videos of how your dog's doing and feel free to text/call for updates anytime. I work from home most of the time. Dogs love the country routine and seem to relax here. I live rurally, in Southern Humboldt, but can meet for drop-offs and pick-ups in the Redway/Garberville area or the Arcata/Eureka/McKinleyville area or anywhere in between. For stays less than 4 days, I'll ask that we add the pick-up/drop-off fee. I have a large fenced yard, dog doors to come in and out of the house, and different areas to keep dogs separate, if needed. I usually keep new dogs separated from mine till they get to know each other and show that they like each other. I also have baby gates and can use dog crates inside if needed. I have hosted a lot of foster dogs and puppies for the Rescue and retreats for dogs from the Animal Shelter and have participated in numerous trainings with professional animal trainers and behaviorists. I know when I have to be away from my dogs that they need a kind person to hang out with, some fun, and a comfortable place to hangout till I can come back for them.

About: I have always been an animal lover since childhood and have taken care of a variety of pets of all sizes! I've helped raise puppies, taken care of senior dogs, and helped train good walking, bathing, and bathroom habits. Most animals respond very well to me. Also being a bigger person I have no trouble dealing with larger dogs. Very experienced in all areas of pet care. I am at home this summer until my college classes start in the fall to continue my degree in early childhood education. Weekends or evenings are not a problem for house sitting. Drop by mid-day walks anytime I'm available! I have a lot of availability and would love to spend my time with animals giving them quality care and attention. I am more than happy to watch your pets while you are away on vacation or gone for the day. I Can do drop bys or overnights depending on your preference and your animals needs. I have a large fenced yard that is great for animals if you need boarding. I have reliable transportation to get to and from. I can take them on walks in your neighborhood or go to a local dog park if you prefer. Very open to working with what is best for your animal. I have my own dogs at home but will leave them there while caring for your animal(s) unless you would like the socializing. We have two friendly larger male dogs that love to meet new dogs if you are interested in doggy day care or boarding. Our home has a large size dog door for pets to access the house at their convenience.

About: I own a 7 acre property that is a short drive up Fickle Hill Rd in Arcata! It includes a private trail with access to the community forest and a very large fenced in yard. I have a 1 year old female German Shepherd (Sabine) who is very well trained and LOVES to play with other dogs. I’ve been working with animals my entire life but started officially dog sitting and walking about 10 years ago! I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and personalities and feel comfortable and confident in my care abilities. Locally I have done in home care both long term and short term. Now that I have this large property I would like to do more of a doggy day care! I am capable of providing training, grooming, as well as daily exercise and enrichment activities! I am free Monday - Thursday every week as I work from home as a ceramic artist. On the weekends (Friday - Sunday) I work as a waitress. I offer care from my home where I have a very large fenced in yard with plenty of space to run around and enjoy the outdoors. As well as a large dog friendly home for those rainy days. All plants and trees on the property are dog safe! I also have a private trail that is connected to the community forest trails where I take Sabine (my dog) for daily walks. Sabine also loves the beach so we do take weekly trips out to the dunes in Samoa! I’m a dog lover and feel that I am very attuned to understanding the way they communicate.
