About: Hi! I’m Abigail, and caring for dogs is something I genuinely love. Whether your pup enjoys playing, exploring, cuddling on the couch, or simply having a calm place to relax, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. That’s why I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for. I treat every dog as if they were my own and take the time to learn their unique personality, routines, and needs. From energetic puppies to senior dogs who prefer a slower pace, I’m committed to giving each pet individualized attention and plenty of affection. My goal is simple: for your dog to have such a great experience that they’re excited to come back! I’d love to meet you and your pup and help make your time away stress-free for both of you. 🐶❤️ I work full-time Monday–Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and I’m available for pet care after work on weekdays and all day on weekends. Whether it’s an evening walk, dinner and playtime, or overnight care, I’m happy to make sure your pet feels loved and cared for while you’re away. Weekends are perfect for longer visits, extra play, and plenty of cuddle time I care for pets in a very hands-on, attentive way and always try to make them feel safe and comfortable, especially while their owners are away. In a client’s home, I stick closely to their normal routine and make sure they get consistent care, attention, and reassurance. If pets stay in my home, I create a peaceful environment where they can settle in and feel relaxed. I stay observant of their needs and personalities, whether they’re playful, shy, or need extra comfort.
About: I worked at an animal shelter where I helped care for dogs, cats, and small animals. I gained experience with lots of different categories like feeding, cleaning, playtime, and making sure animals felt comfortable and cared for. I also have experience with reactive dogs/cats and making sure to create an environment where they thrive and do not feel the need to be reactive. I also worked with many different types of cats, especially the shy ones who just needed more support. I have also given vaccines and medicine to animals, as well as taken a senior diabetic cats blood sugar. I understand every pet is different, and I’m happy to follow any routines and give them all the patience and attention they need and deserve! I also have experience with family animals! Growing up, we had all sizes of dogs, from a German Shepherd to an Italian Greyhound! So I have experience with all different animal personalities like door dashers, small velcro pups, and the older ones too:) I currently have a small dog, a bearded dragon, and a hamster! I truly love animals and want pet parents to feel comfortable knowing their pets are safe, happy, and getting lots and lots of love while they’re away! I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available most days of the week, including weekdays and weekends. I’m able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening pet care as needed! I live in a rented apartment, so sadly I’m not able to board pets in my home. I do offer care in clients’ homes, which I believe is often best for pets since they can stay in their own familiar space:) I always make sure to follow instructions closely, keep the environment clean, and prioritize each pet’s safety and comfort.
“Kendra is a wonderful petsitter. She was quick to initially respond to my request and she scheduled a meet and greet quickly to see if our job was a good fit. First impressions was that Kendra was kind and professional. She was reported her daily check-in and was patient with my kitty who was timid and hid from her until the last day. I'm thrilled to have found Kendra and will be reaching out for future trips.”

About: My pets are my family. I currently own two horses three dogs and board a horse that gets treated like my own. I’ve had dogs, my whole life and horses since I was 12. I live on 40 acres a feel my pets are living their best life. They are treated like family and always make my days better. If you were to trust me with your pets, they would be treated like family as well. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend. Happy Tails. I am currently working 4 days a week but want to retire from dental hygiene. I looking to see what kind of interest there is for this service in my area. I have a fenced in area connected to a heated garage if I were watch your pet at my home. How they re-acted to my dogs would determine if they stayed in my home.
“Alexa is wonderful! Honestly, she's one of the best pet sitter we've ever had. She came to our house to watch our 2 cats/ dear kitty friends, and she truly seemed to understand their needs and ours! She always did MORE than required, including regular communication, photos, and details that she'd only know if she was really spending time with them. We came home to a tidy house and 2 happy, well-fed cats. And when we got home from a long, stressful drive, we found the sweetest note about our kitties and a gift of homemade pumpkin bread! And, Alexa is smart, personable and energetic. We left feeling good about the woman we were entrusting with these small animals who trust us. I never worried about a thing, which for me, is an amazing gift. I missed our cats, but I never worried about them. For me, THAT is the very best recommendation I can give a caregiver. We will certainly hope she is available for every future trip we make.”

“Olivia was fantastic. She definitely deserves a five star review. She showed up when she was supposed to and stayed for the agreed amount of time. She took wonderful pictures of Otis. She used features that I didn’t know existed with Rover. She’s is on top of her game and I would definitely use her again.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
