About: I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, including feeding, providing fresh water, giving medications when needed, cleaning up after pets, playing with them, and making sure they receive plenty of attention and affection. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs and understand that every animal has their own routine and comfort level. My own pets have also given me years of experience understanding and caring for animals. I’m currently working full time at a vet clinic, but I would be able to stop in on my way into work, on my lunch (depending on how close you are), and on my way home. I’m off on weekends so I would be able to come by more often. We can always talk about my hours and figure things out. I’m a caring, dependable, and animal-loving person who truly enjoys spending time with pets. I have experience caring for dogs and cats and understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, kindness, and attention. I’m responsible, trustworthy, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I scoop my cat’s boxes everyday or every other day. They’re always getting lots of love and spoiled with treats. I play ball with my dog in our yard and go on walks. I’m a very clean person. I love to deep clean my house once a week, but I’m always vacuuming and cleaning. I would always make sure to keep your place clean.

Kendra is a wonderful petsitter. She was quick to initially respond to my request and she scheduled a meet and greet quickly to see if our job was a good fit. First impressions was that Kendra was kind and professional. She was reported her daily check-in and was patient with my kitty who was timid and hid from her until the last day. I'm thrilled to have found Kendra and will be reaching out for future trips.

We have two spoiled Chihuahuas that we don’t leave very much. David was so wonderful with them. If you ever need a dog sitter in the area, I cannot recommend him enough.

Anna was very prompt with her meet and greet, which gave us a good feeling up front. She was able to win the dogs over very quickly which says alit about her demeanor with pets. Her responses to questions were comforting for a remote pet owner. I would certainly recommend her to friends.

About: I’ve had pets in my home and life for as long as I can remember, from dogs and cats to chickens and guinea pigs! I have experience caring for pets every size, age, breed, energy levels, and general care needs! I work as a tutor at a middle school, so I have full availability during the summers. I am absolutely a morning person, so morning walks/runs are built into my routine. Otherwise, I can be very flexible on times and locations of pet care. Caring for your pet within your home will include maintaining your pet’s comfort with their familiar environment. This includes playing with their own toys, eating their own food, and being within the home they love so much!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
