“Belinda & James were wonderful sitters for Murphy! I couldn’t ask for anyone better! Belinda kept me updated with messages and great pictures. I could tell that Murphy was so loved and spoiled by the whole family. Now that I have found a wonderful loving place for Murphy, I won’t hesitate to leave him again. I highly recommend Belinda & James for caring for your fur baby!”

“I’m so thankful for the amazing care Elysa gave my dog, Roxy! 🐾 From the moment they met, I could tell Roxy felt comfortable and happy. Elysa didn’t just pet sit, she went above and beyond. She took Roxy on relaxing strolls, kept me updated with the cutest pictures 📸, and even gave her a little grooming session to keep her looking her best! ✨ I could really tell that Roxy was loved and well cared for the whole time. I highly recommend Elysa to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and genuinely caring pet sitter. Thank you so much again, Elysa! 🐶💛”

“Kelsey and her family provided safe and loving home for my two cats during my travel. She sent frequent updates with pictures. Her kids are wonderful with animals. One of the pictures shows Kelsey's little daughter gently petting and kissing my cat. It is so beautiful that I'm going to frame it.”

“Our dog Sadie had a wonderful time with Laura and we could not be more pleased. Laura has a fenced in yard and a sweet dog Piper that Sadie was able to play with. Laura also kept us regularly up to date on Sadie with pics and videos. We are very excited to have found someone we are completely comfortable leaving Sadie with in the future.”

About: I have had multiple dogs for decades. Dogs just seem to love me. I guess it's because they can tell I love them so much. I'm really good at taking care of things for your dog. I love walking them and playing. I don't even mind picking up the poop. I'm currently working part-time as a house cleaner. So I have flexibility in my schedule to take care of fur babies. Evenings and weekends are almost always open. I treat all dogs with kindness and respect. I would want others to take care of my babies that way. I always double check the food and water. If there are extra things needed, I make sure to get those done as well.
About: I have worked at a vets office going on 8 years now as a vet technician. I studied animal science at Auburn University. I have dog/cat sat for several years. I work an early shift as a superintendent. With my schedule I would still be able to do early early morning around 3/3:30 and mid afternoon check ins. I have 4 dogs that love to have friends to play with. I have a fenced in yard, but walk mine daily. I am a few minutes from Albertville’s Dog Park where my dogs love to go run and play.
“Emily was a great sitter. We will definitely hire her again. She was easy to communicate with, her house was set up for dogs, and she knows how to care for animals. I highly recommend her!”

“Makaylah did an excellent job taking care of Josie! She kept me updated on her status and shared photos of her doggy play dates. As always, my baby was clean, happy and exhausted when I picked her up. Makaylah is a true dog lover and I always feel my Josie-bear is happy and safe while under her care. I highly recommend her services and appreciate her commitment to ensure the satisfaction of her customers.”

“Macy was very sweet, and graciously worked with me on my changing pick up & drop off times, plus me forgetting the food bowls. Communication was quick, I got pictures several times a day (loved that). I can tell that our girls had a good time and were well taken care of.”

“Haley was so accommodating to our dog. She sent frequent updates with pictures and videos. It was our dogs first time getting boarded so I was a little nervous , but my anxiety went away with Haley.”

“Allison was great with Ruby. She sent frequent picture updates during the stay, which really helped give me peace of mind, and her communication was extremely fast and responsive throughout the entire process. Ruby seemed very well cared for and happy. I would definitely recommend Allison to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive sitter.”

About: I’ve had dogs most of my life, and I love meeting new ones and learning their quirks. I will treat your babies as if they were my own. I have experience pet sitting growing up as well as working 5 months full time at a kennel before going to college. My home is 1 story with a flat fenced in yard. This is perfect for young dogs through senior dogs. This is my only job, so I have lots of time to dedicate to caring for your pets! I also have a reliable vehicle which makes it easier to get to and from your home or to the vet in case of emergency. I have a single story home with a fenced in yard. We have one very sweet, friendly, senior cat. I can follow your wishes to the best of my ability. And I’m happy to discuss any questions. My pets have always been allowed on furniture and in my bed. But if you prefer them not to, I will do my best to meet your needs.
“Lindsey and John are fantastic. They went out of their way to send us many updates with pictures and videos while we were out of town! They treated our sweet puppy like she was their own. I recommend John and lindsey to anyone looking for someone to take care of the furry friend! Freya is already missing them!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
