“Robin is an exceptional care giver who is responsible, reliable and supportive to the owners and pets needs. She took care of my brother's dog, Artie while my brother had surgery. Artie loved interacting with Robin and his new dog friends. She has a fenced in yard where he was able to run, play and use up all his high energy. Her home is comfortable inside where he was able to relax and enjoy a home away from home. She was flexible with my brothers schedule and very supportive of his needs. We enjoyed the pictures and videos she would send. Communication with Robin went well and she responds in a timely manner. I would highly recommend her to take care of your pets.”
“Krystal boarded mine and my roommate’s dogs. We were so grateful she was able to take both of them together despite having dogs of her own! Ace and Winnie seemed right at home and were well taken care of!”
“Billie had the best time with Lauren and her sweet family and pups - she was soooo excited to return a second time! We will definitely keep booking with them in the future :)”
“Samantha was very lovely!!! I had to bring him in early, and she was very quick to respond when i figured that out. Cooper had an amazing time with her, and she was very attentive to his needs ??”
“This was my first time having some watch my new puppy. Shannon was excellent! She was so patient (with potty accidents), and did all she could to ensure he was comfortable. I will definitely be using her service again.”
“Charmaine did an excellent job of keeping me informed during Chief's visit. He has not cared for sitters in the past, and today he came home in excellent spirits! He was well taken care of while we were out of town and she gave me great peace of mind. We will use her next time we travel. Thanks so much Charmaine!”
“I just can’t say enough wonderful things about Debora & Randy! They were truly a godsend for us. They gave our puppy so much love and attention while we were gone for Christmas break, and were so patient with her as well. When unforeseen medical problems happened on our trip, they were so accommodating and understanding as we readjusted her pickup date. We got communication and photos from them daily, which was so comforting for our kids who were missing their pup. Pearl received such excellent care and attention, we were sure she wouldn’t want to come home with us 😂 You will not find a kinder, more caring, more compassionate sitter on this app. They were everything we needed, and so much more. Thank you, Debora & Randy, for everything!💕”
“Kassidee was amazing with our dog! She sent lots of pictures and made sure he was taken care of in every way possible. He had a lot of time outside as well as in and he came home exhausted! He got along great with the other dogs as well.”
“We left our border collie pup for 3 nights /4 days and everything was great! We loved getting the picture updates and felt assured our dog was getting all her needs met. Usually she struggles the first day somewhere new, but she was completely comfortable and didn’t have the separation anxiety we anticipated. She also loved playing with their dog, who taught her how to relax :) 10/10 would use Ryan & Rebekah again.”
“We are so pleased so get updates and to see that our girl was happy playing and eating well. It was a great experience and we feel confident she will do great here of we need it again.”
“Summer C. did a fantastic job watching our Malamute, Ellie, while we were away for the weekend. She was reliable, caring, and made us feel completely comfortable knowing Ellie was in good hands. We really appreciated the attention and care she gave Ellie, and we would absolutely recommend Summer to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter!”
“Denise is FANTASTIC!! We will be back! She was so sweet and took such good care of Queenie! She loved it there and it was so apparent she was so happy! So kind and the space is clean and well cared for!!”
“Copper had a great time while we were out of town. It was obvious that he was well taken care of and that he was shown lots of love and attention. I would highly recommend Klaressa!”
“Our experience with Merilee was fantastic. I would recommend her to anyone I know that needs a dog-sitter. Loved the daily pictures of her and I can tell that my dog was having so much fun. It took the worry completely away from us while we were gone.”
“Tearra was wonderful with my cat! I’d use her again and again. Her updates made me miss my baby a little less for sure. Tearra was great about sending pics, videos and communication. Highly recommend!”
“Linda is so sweet and caring. You can tell she is a true animal lover. She is genuine, I feel good about leaving my dog with her. I appreciate that she's not distracted by other responsibilities and can give my dog all the attention and care he needs and deserves.”
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Groveland
I was a little nervous leaving our dog for 18 days, but Anthony did a great job taking care of our English Bulldog. I will definitely use him again for future trips. Their home was clean and cozy, and they have an adorable Pug and kids to befriend your pet, just the place I wanted to find! Thank you Anthony and family!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Groveland home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Groveland.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Groveland sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
