“Suzanne watched our dog for about 4 days and he really enjoyed his time there and playing with her dogs and in the backyard. She sent us a picture everyday so we could see what he's up too. We'd definitely use her again when we're in the area again.”

“I felt great about Oscar staying with Chelsea & her family. She sent me daily updates & pictures of all the adventures Oscar went on. I really appreciate her caring so well for him. It makes a Momma's heart happy. I would definitely use Chelsea again. TYSM!!”

“Our pups had a wonderful time. I felt comfortable leaving them for the first time overnight with Beth and her dogs. Very good communicating and picture updates. I would use her again.”

“Erin was amazing! She took such great care of Gus and for a long time! (9 nights) Gus had so much fun and she sent us updates multiple times a day. I had peace of mind the entire time and was never worried about my boy. We will absolutely be going back to Erin!”

“Lexi was wonderful. She really seemed to enjoy my dog, a boxer. She sent me a lot of pics suggesting he was having a fine time at his sleep over. I immediately felt at ease with leaving him there. I’ll use her again if she is available. When we got him his stools were normal (they aren’t when he is stressed) and he hadn’t lost weight (does when he is stressed). He was fine.”

“Sandy is amazing! This is our third time using her and Daisy absolutely loves her. Daisy is very hyper and Sandy has no problem with her. I highly recommend using her.”

“We had a great experience— super communicative and flexible, with lots of photos and check-in’s so that I knew that everything was going ok. I appreciate the effort that went into helping my Eddie feel comfortable and confident in the new space!”

“Nea’s time with Mary went so well! We will definitely book with Mary in the future. She sent pictures videos of Nea while we were away and also sent us texts everyday letting us know how she was doing. Nea came home tired from getting to play with Mary’s sweet dogs. We are grateful she had a great time. Thank you!”

“Melissa is a fantastic dog sitter! Great communication, regular updates, and excellent care. Our dogs came home happy and well cared for, and we had complete peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend Melissa and will definitely book with her again!”

About: My dogs are my babies. ❤️ If you feel the same way, we already have something important in common! I started dog walking because I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your precious pups. My husband and I adopted two rescue dogs, Myrtle and Daisy, who came to us with potty and behavioral challenges after being poorly cared for in a puppy mill. With patience and love, they’ve blossomed into two silly, fun-loving dogs who are an important part of our family. I’m not a trainer, groomer, or vet tech—I’m simply a devoted pet parent who understands how much peace of mind matters when you’re leaving your “babies” with someone else. I’d love the opportunity to be a trusted friend to you and your pups! 🐾 I’m available for weekday walks starting around 3:30 PM. I enjoy getting outside and spending time with dogs, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. My own dogs also keep me familiar with the importance of consistency, attention, and lots of love! On weekends, I am available for boarding from Friday evening to Sunday evening. To ensure dog safety, we crate all dogs when humans are away. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, while giving them plenty of attention, affection, and patience. I’ll also keep you updated during visits so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Thanks, Paul AND Penny, Chloe came home a very relaxed and happy dog. She even ate her entire bowl of salmon and rice (and then some vegies) later that evening and ate it again yesterday and today. Thanks for taking such good care of her!”

“Debra always takes the best care of Porter and Daisy! She really loves dogs and I feel confident that Porter and Daisy are in good hands with her while I’m away!”

“Nicole was amazing. We booked last minute and had a wonderful meet and greet. She made us feel so much more comfortable while on our 7 day vacation by sending us daily updates and pictures and even celebrated our Nova’s 2nd birthday. We will be forever grateful to have found Nicole and we will definitely book for future trips.”

About: I have years of experience caring for all types and ages of dogs and truly enjoy their personalities! I value the importance of your animal to you and your family and will take of them like they are my own. I currently work remotely a few hours a day which allows me to dedicate time to any animals I am currently caring for including my own (a 12 week old golden retriever) I have a beautiful and large fenced in yard that any dog would enjoy and also a family who is just as passionate about caring for animals as I am!

“Wow! Billiejean did an amazing job taking care of my pups while I was away. I can tell that they felt very happy and loved because every picture she sent me (which I'm so thankful she even printed me off a few pics ❤️😎) they looked so happy and so relaxed. That means a lot and it helps put my heart at ease knowing that I found someone that cares about them just as much as I do! Highly recommended caretaker! A+++ rating!”

“Ashley was great about sending pictures. Our dog seemed happy, relaxed, playful. It was great that there was another dog to play with and a big yard to run in. The only thing I would have preferred would to have been to see the two dogs meet.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Graytown home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Graytown.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Graytown sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
