“Kristin was a great caregiver for our 11 year old dog who tends to be very anxious when she’s in a new environment. She was very caring and nurturing with our girl and sent us updates and pictures while we were away. We highly recommend her to care for your fur baby!”

“Francis is a true animal lover. Max has stayed with her 3 times and as soon as we pull up to her house he gets excited and can't wait to go play with her dog. I cannot recommend her enough. She shares updates, pics and videos throughout the stay.. It is so nice to have a "home" for Max when I have a work trip.”

“Penah is so friendly and kind and really seemed to enjoy doing this. She made us feel very comfortable the whole time, and updated us frequently with photos. Highly recommend and greatly appreciated her and her family. Thank you so much, Penah!”

“Sammy is so great with Ella. I never worry a minute when she is with her while we go away. She always sends updates and keeps me informed! When ella sees her she goes crazy because she loves her so much! Thanks for all you do, Sammy!”

“Lenore was amazing! Ringo was so comfortable with her and loved her two Yorkies, too! I'll be sure to use her the next time we go out of town! It's so nice to have someone I can trust, and who takes such great care of my pup!”

“A great dog sitter, would definitely book again, always available to communicate. I got pictures of my sweet dog during the duration of her stay. But the most important thing was that my dog was happy and wanted to continue to play with Karl’s dogs when leaving. This made me feel that she was so comfortable being there at his house with his dogs.”

“I am extremely satisfied with the care and professionalism Candace provides for me and my dog. My dog comes home happy and not upset with me for leaving her there. It's been the next best place to home when I am away.”

“Lily and William, and their sweet pets made Luna and Sol feel very welcomed and comfortable. Lily was sending me multiple updates with pictures of my girls. We really loved that knowing that our girls are well cared for. 🐶🐶. We are super happy that Luna and Sol have new friends. We are so thankful to have found Lily and William their home and their doggie’s are perfect for our family. Is a greater sick relief to know that we have someone to care for Luna and Sol in the future. One more thing our flight was delayed by an hour and a half they waited for us to pick up the girls. Thank you again Lily and William we are blessed to have you guys. 🙏❤️”

About: I’ve taken care of/owned dogs all my life. My pets are my pride and joy. I have experience working with all ages, from puppies to senior. Growing up around dogs I understand how difficult it is to find the right sitter especially someone you can trust and who will pay close attention to detail just as much as you. My promise to you would be efficiently taking care of your pet that way you have a peace of mind while you’re away. I have a flexible work/life schedule, I work full-time from home, which is easily transportable. I am available every day of the week including weekends. I like to consider my pets part of the family and I strive to make my client’s pets feel the same way. Their health and well-being is my first priority.

“Laura is lovely and Candy had a great weekend with her. I will absolutely reach out to her in the event I need a pet sitter for my furry therapist, keeper of my secrets and love of my life.”

“This was my first time using Rover.com and I was a bit apprehensive as my little dog is older with several health issues... but I was completely impressed, totally at ease and relieved when I left him with Cliff and Kathryn. They are very thorough and professional along with extra attention towards my dog, and sent me pics during his stay with them. I will definitely use them again!”

“Brian is great cat sitter — we could tell our fur baby enjoyed her stay and was made very comfortable. He kept us informed every day with thoughtful updates and some pretty great quality photos. Absolutely recommend him, and will use him again in the future if needing a cat sitter!”

About: Tucked away in the mountains, my off-grid home is more than just a boarding space—it’s a peaceful, nurturing retreat where both dogs and cats can feel safe, understood, and truly at home. I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals, and caring for them is second nature to me. Maybe it’s the Leo in me, but I’ve always been drawn to the independent, curious nature of cats, just as much as the loyalty and energy of dogs. I take the time to get to know each animal individually—their quirks, their comforts, and their communication style—because no two are the same. Whether they need adventure, structure, play, or just a quiet place to rest, I tailor their stay to what suits them best. My own pack includes two amazing dogs, both of whom I’ve raised since they were pups—an Australian Kelpie who thrives on activity and focus, and a Husky/Malamute mix who loves adventure just as much as I do. I also have two incredibly special cats, Face and Lilith. Face, my shadow and best friend, was once a wary barn cat who took 1.5 years to trust me. Now, he hikes with me and my dogs, showing an adaptability I’ve never seen in another cat. Lilith, my Hemingway cat, appeared as a tiny, helpless kitten in the woods and has since grown into a thriving, playful companion. Recently, I also took on the challenge of caring for and finding homes for 21 puppies all at once—an experience that reinforced my deep commitment to the well-being of every animal that comes into my care. For dogs, my home offers the perfect mix of adventure and comfort, with plenty of space to roam, explore, and play. For cats, I provide a dedicated, dog-free space downstairs, designed just for them, complete with padded, cloth-covered shelves, sunlit lounging spots, and plenty of enrichment to keep them engaged. Cats are never let outside unless specifically requested by their owner, ensuring their safety. Whether you have a dog who thrives on companionship and outdoor adventure or a cat who craves quiet comfort and personalized care, my home is a place where they will be loved, understood, and cared for like family. I do have a large fenced back yard which is behind expanded currently. Pet care isn’t just something I do—it’s fully integrated into my daily life. Living off-grid and working from home means I don’t have a traditional 9-to-5 schedule, so my time revolves around the animals in my care. From the moment I wake up, I’m tending to their needs—letting dogs out to stretch their legs in the fresh mountain air, preparing meals tailored to each pet, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease. Throughout the day, I engage with them in ways that suit their personalities—whether it’s a long hike through the woods for high-energy dogs, quiet companionship for more relaxed pets, or interactive play for curious cats. Because I’m always home, no animal is ever left alone for long. I have the flexibility to adapt to their needs in real-time, whether it’s providing extra comfort for a nervous newcomer or giving an active pup the extra exercise they crave. At night, every pet settles in safely, knowing they are in a warm, loving environment. Caring for animals isn’t a job I clock in and out of—it’s simply my way of life. Exercise and outdoor time are a big part of my daily routine. I take my dog for runs or walks multiple times a day, exploring the beautiful mountain trails and giving them the movement they need. If your dog enjoys exercise and adventure, I’d be happy to include them in these outings, ensuring they get plenty of physical activity and enrichment. Whether they prefer a leisurely stroll or a high-energy run, I tailor the experience to match their needs and comfort level. If your pet has special needs—such as medication, a specific feeding routine, or any other care requirements—I’m happy to integrate that into my daily schedule. Every animal is different, and I make sure to accommodate their unique needs so they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for during their stay.

“Erin was great! She was really sweet and flexible when I wanted to do a meet-and-greet before the sitting. She sent me photos while we were gone and was quick to respond whenever I checked in. Dub Dub came home super happy and tired from playing with Lucy. Thanks, Erin!”
