“Brooke watched our boy Doc for a week while we went on vacation. It was super convenient since she only lives two miles from us! We are grateful she was able and willing to board him in her home. Brooke is very nice, friendly, and we will definitely book with her again if needed!”

“Teresa is absolutely AMAZING! She was so kind and understanding with our rambunctious pups! I worried the entire time we were gone if they'd be on their best behavior but Teresa assured me everything would be and was okay and that she's able to handle it all. I have been looking for someone like her for a very long time and she is a Godsend!”

About: We have been a dog family for the past 11.5 years! We love our dogs so much! We have an 11 year old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix and a 2 year old Aussiedoodle. They are sweet and fun and love other dogs! We have 4 kiddos as well who love caring for the dogs including our 12 and 11 year old girls who love taking the dogs for walks! We are a homeschooling family so we are home most of the time and don't kennel our dogs at all while we are home! We have a huge fenced-in backyard that the dogs love to roam and run around in! Playing fetch in the back yard is a highlight in our home!
“Vy was terrific! She responded quickly and took our dogs for boarding on almost no notice and understood our dogs’ needs well. She also has fenced in backyard for the dogs to play! Very grateful for her and would happily leave the dogs with her again”

“It was a pleasure to have Charles and Heather. They were awesome and they kept us in the loop daily. Khloe was well taken care of. I would recommend them. Thank you all again.”

“Mike spent a month with our dog, Nika, and provided the care for her as she was his own dog! He was able to accommodate us on a relatively short notice and stayed in touch the entire time we were away. Mike often sent us pictures of Nika and let us know how she was doing. The first time ever when we picked her up she was unsure whether or not she wants to stay or go! I recommend him to everyone who is looking for a loving and caring environment. We will definitely be coming back!”

“Brigid took care of my senior girl, Chloe, for 4 nights. She was open to a last minute meet and greet. She accommodated Chloe’s senior needs, sent updates, and gave a nice verbal summary at how Chloe’s time went and included things she will miss about her. Chloe seemed content when I arrived, often going over to Brigid several times while we packed up all of her things into the car. Being a dog sitter myself, I found comfort in that, considering they were strangers just days before. I would recommend Brigid!”

“I would definitely recommend Sureya to keep your pet. My Koda is very shy, barks at most people especially men ?. When I dropped him off he never barked. He went right to her. She’s very warm and inviting and i would absolutely rebook with her.”

“From the moment of the meet and greet I felt good about Julie and her wonderful family. They took to my "lil" girl right away. Sent plenty of great pics and I felt relieved and grateful for finding them. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again. A true pleasure to have them babysit for us.”

“Highly recommend Alyssa! She watched my 2 babies this past weekend. She kept me in the loop via messages and pictures while we were away. She gave them so much attention and play time. Her dog is friendly and playful which was a perfect match for my energetic pup. They even got into some trouble rolling around in the dirt and got special baths. The initial meet and greet made me feel great about booking the boarding.”

“Gina is wonderful! She sent us frequent videos and pictures to keep us posted and we knew our dog was having a good time there. Fifi was so well loved and taken care of during her second time away from us. Fifi definitely enjoyed her stay with Gina and her husband! We will keep using this service in the future.”

“They were absolutely amazing with Nellie. We couldn't of have had a better experience. Nellie enjoyed her time with them and they treated her very well. It was our first time leaving Nellie with anyone and the random updates on her with pictures and videos helped ease our minds during our time away. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for pet care/boarding.”

About: My schedule can be flexible so please let me know what you need and I'll be sure to let you know if we can make it work! I have owned a couple dogs in the past and dog sit for my family and friends all the time. We currently have two cats that are dog friendly, or tolerant. We’d love to host your fur babies with us for a long weekend to let you get away. I work full-time Mon-Fri so would mostly be available for weekend boarding, Fri-Sun. I am available for drop in visits or walks during the week after 5pm. We have a fully fenced in yard with tons of shade and multiple rooms and spaces to separate animals as needed. Dogs are TOTALLY allowed on furniture and we have healthy treats as their diets allowed. Big neighborhood for walks (with sidewalks) and the pavement is always tested on my own skin before their precious paws. I have lick mats and kongs for mental stimulation and love to fill them with protein and veggies.
“Chloe took great care of our dog, Zelda, who had an injured knee and had to take it easy. Chloe sent us a midday update (pup cup, stuffie & some liesure time outside - Z seemed happy as a clam) and was very responsive. We'd definitely trust Chloe to watch our girl again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Goldsboro home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Goldsboro.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Goldsboro sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
