“Sydney was very flexible with our last minute need for a house sitter. She left the house better than when she arrived, was always available for communication, and treated our home and pets as if they were her own. We will absolutely use her again for future needs!”

About: Hi, I grew up loving animals and living on a farm which was a great combination for me. I have a lot of experience with all sorts of animals and temperaments. I have open availability right now and can walk, house sit or check on your pets as needed! My schedule is very open and I am excited to meet your fur babies. I can walk by your home and take pets to another preferred location! I will take care of your baby like my own and can top of food/water as needed as well.
About: I’ve spent more than 10 years caring for animals of all shapes, sizes, and personalities, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets. Having cared for such a variety of animals has taught me that every pet has their own routine, boundaries, quirks, and way of communicating. I also have personal experience raising and training puppies of my own, including potty training and teaching basic commands and simple tricks. While I’m not a professional trainer, I’m comfortable reinforcing the routines and training methods you already use at home so your pup has consistency while in my care. What sets me apart is that I’m comfortable with more than just the traditional furry family members. Whether your pet has paws, claws, scales, or a personality three times their size, I’m happy to learn their routine and provide patient, attentive care. I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pets, so I treat every animal with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. 🐾 My weekday schedule is very open and flexible, with general availability from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, feeding schedules, playtime, and spending quality time with pets throughout the day. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine whenever possible, whether that means an early morning potty break, midday walk, meals on schedule, or simply having someone around to keep them company. I’m currently focusing on weekday care and am not offering weekend services at this time. 🐾 Safety and comfort come first in my home or yours. I take the time to learn each pet’s normal routine, personality, boundaries, feeding schedule, and any household rules so I can keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible while you’re away. At my home, I have a friendly 4-year-old Boxer mix, plenty of toys and blankets for playtime and snuggles, and access to crating when needed or preferred. I also have a large backyard; however, it is not fenced, so visiting dogs are always supervised and kept securely leashed or on an appropriate lead while outside. When caring for pets in their own home, I respect both your pet’s routine and your space. I follow your instructions closely, keep doors and gates secure, provide plenty of attention and enrichment, and make sure your pet feels safe and cared for in the environment they know best. 🐾
“Carmyne was very kind and gave my pets good company (lots of cuddles). She responded quickly always which I appreciated, and she also left the house very clean. So nice after a long trip! I would book Carmyne again in the future!”

I provide dependable, genuine pet care with a personal touch—treating every dog like they’re my own. I rescued my sweet girl Hashbrown when she was just a tiny puppy, cared for friends and family pets my entire life.I enjoy animals and their company plain and simple. I’m currently available M-F after 2pm for all your pet care needs. I can make myself available for extended care throughout the week if necessary and can do overnight stay as well. We have a decent sized fenced in back yard and a very friendly small breed puppy, so your puppy will feel very welcome. I am confident in my ability to care for your pup and their needs!
About: I am a psychology major with a LOVE for taking care of animals. My first job was when I was only ten years old - watching my neighbors’ two dogs & 1 cat 🐾 I have experience working in pet stores as well! Animals have always been a huge part of my life and working with them has brought me so much joy throughout the years. I am a cat mom to my own furry baby, Pongo as well. Pet care fits into my daily routine because I have my own furry baby! I have a siamese cat, Pongo, who I’m always making sure is attended to. Whether that’s refilling his bowl, cleaning the litterbox, or throwing his favorite blanket in the dryer so he can have a warm blanket to kneed on, I am always on my toes making sure Pongo is loved. I care for my client’s pets by first, having a consultation with the owners to get to know their needs. Whether there’s a dietary restriction, or something I need to take the extra step in making the pet or owner comfortable, I make sure to check all my boxes.
About: Ive had pets since i was 7 years old. From dogs to hermit crabs ive been taking care of them for years. My neighbors rely on me when they go out of town and they need their pets taken care of. Rest assured I'll take care of yours too! I have two pets myself. I have a strict routine that helps my dogs thrive and i will keep your pets same routine as well. I have a huge yard and two pets. “Talia was a godsend! Our two boxers immediately liked her. Her calm demeanor made them feel like they’d known her forever. She kept in communication with us and made us feel extremely comfortable with her. It’s a blessing to have someone you can count on. We’ll be using Talia again!”

“As always, Matthew goes above and beyond what is asked of him. His interaction with our kitty is excellent, even when jasper wakes him up at 3 AM. Matthew is attentive to jasper and our home, which is much appreciated. He's terrific!”

“Christina did a great job taking care of our sweet Molly!! We enjoyed hearing update on her. I would Definitely give her five stars, and will definitely use her services again!! Thank you Christina!!! Julie”

“Jan loves our handsome boy! She has house/pet sat for us on numerous occasions and she helps us tremendously. Our bulldog loves to be outside and belly rubs all day. She is great with him. I highly recommend.”
“Val did a great job watching our 3 dogs for a week long trip at our house. The dogs were cared for, fed and they warmed up to her. She was communicative and sent daily pictures/updates.”
“Highly recommend! Elise took care of my pup through days of storms and rain - my dog is terrified of both - and did such a great job! The very regular pictures she sent showed a happy doggo, who seemed very relaxed and very trusting around her. When I came home, doggo was happy, well-fed, clearly well-taken care of. Moreover, Elise graciously took care of the doggo outside of the scheduled hours - both before my (changed) flight out and when my flight back was delayed. Communication with her was super smooth and super friendly. 13/10 recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Glenwood
Jan was a great housesitter and petsitter. She took wonderful care of our dogs and sent pictures and updates throughout the day. Jan spoiled our babies and even bought treats and toys for them. We returned home to a clean house and all the linens washed and bed made. We would recommend Jan if you need a sitter and will use her again in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 773 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Glenwood. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Glenwood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Glenwood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glenwood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
