About: I have taken care of dogs for over 17 years and have had the wonderful opportunity of offering care to senior dogs and puppies alike. I currently work from home full time with flexibility, I have the ability to take care of your fur baby giving you peace of mind that they will have attention, love and company. I am available for boarding throught the week and weekends as long as I am notified in advance. However, while I do understand things come up, I do have a schedule to adhere to so any and all late arrivals/drop-offs from the stipulated time will be charged a late fee of $15. We have a fenced in yard, big enough to play and run around and lots of toys to play with. I am fairly flexible and can accommodate to your needs and your pups needs, as they come. Devastatingly, we lost our own Miya girl at the ripe age of 14 1/2 but we love being around dogs and cats and enjoy giving them a home away from home even if we can't spend time with our own favorite girl anymore.

I currently have two sweet, well-mannered (and very spoiled!) pups of my own, so I understand just how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your furry family members. They’re allowed on the furniture, enjoy daily treats, and spend most of their time relaxing indoors in comfort. While they have plenty of time outside to run and take care of business, their favorite place is lounging by our side. We believe pets deserve to feel safe, loved, and at home—and that’s exactly the kind of environment we provide.

Even though this was naturally a slightly stressful first experience for them she was able to keep them happy and well cared for! She was patient with them and communicative with me. I trust her to bring up any potential concerns and trust her judgment when interacting with them. She had great notes on the Rover cards which made me feel well informed. The dogs had a good time with pets, play, frozen kongs, and mental stimulation. They definitely made a new friend! I would trust Makayla to watch them again in the future.”

About: I love animals and provide the care I would provide with my own animals. At our house the dogs are always spoiled and well taken care of. I have a flexible schedule for clients and am willing to make changes if necessary. I can also provide special care as needed in order to make the animal as comfortable as can be. About: Hi there! I’m currently a veterinary assistant with three years of hands-on experience, and caring for animals truly brings me joy. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and have lots of fun while in my care—whether that means going for a hike, playing fetch, or simply relaxing on the couch (if that’s okay with you!). I’m very comfortable administering medications and supporting any extra medical needs your pet may have, thanks to my background in veterinary care. In our home, we have one friendly pup who loves meeting new furry friends. I’m also a nursing student, but my classes are only a few hours a day, so I’m home most of the time and available to give your pets plenty of attention and affection. I’m happy to keep you updated with as many photos and messages as you’d like—it’s important to me that you feel completely at ease while your pets are with me. Let’s work together to create a warm, safe space where your pets can feel right at home! I have class a few times a week, but very much spend a majority of my time at home, there are quite a few weeks I’m also available! When they are at my home whether for daycare or boarding I take my dog on a 1.5-3 mile walk through our quiet town of Courtland. If weather permits I like to go to Flandrau or Fort Ridgley state park if your dog would enjoy that! I also have a backyard that I would be happy to play fetch in with your pets as well!

I have worked in a veterinarian industry from 2012 to 2021 as a kennel technician, vet technician, and front desk receptionist. I have also dog/house sat for many clients, friends and family members. From those years of experience, I provide quality care, including bathing, cleanliness, feeding, play, dog walking, emergency preparedness, and administration of medication's. I have currently finished my degree as a physical therapist assistant, and I am waiting to take the boards. At the moment my schedule is fairly flexible to accommodate your pet needs. No matter your environment, I can provide excellent care to your pet whether that is at a home with a fenced yard, assisted living or apartment building.
