“Tori was a great choice to care for our cats and fish while we were on vacation! She followed all instructions left for her and provided many pictures every day. We got home and everything was as we left it. She even cleaned up littler off the floor and washed the cat food spoon. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! We will definitely be booking her again!”

About: I’m passionate about giving every dog the care and attention they deserve. With a calm, patient approach and plenty of love, I make sure your furry friend feels safe, happy, and energized during every walk or stay. I treat each pet like family, tailoring my care to their unique needs and personality. When you choose me, you’re choosing someone who truly cares about your dog’s well-being and happiness. I am a solo person who LOVES to care and show affection for animals. I work monday-friday from 7:50-5 but am available after that and every weekend. I would love to come visit and help when you need it. So i will be doing the job by myself:) I live on a farm with my boyfriend and our sweet GoldenDoodle Vida and our kitty Nala. We also have 3 outside cats Cheese, Phil, and Princess. Our yard is not fenced but they have plenty of run and play room. All of our animals are so sweet and love when we bring around new friends for them to meet (if your animal gets along with other animals). In my clients home i will ensure complete safety of your fur baby’s and will make sure they have enough play time and are very well cared for.

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life since I was 4 years old! From frogs and lizards, to rabbits and hamsters, to cats and dogs, caring for animals has always been my passion. I studied Marine Biology in college and began volunteering in the community as a dog walker and cat caretaker for the humane society. After graduating, I went straight into veterinary medicine, spending 5 years in emergency and critical care before transitioning into veterinary oncology, where I’ve spent the last 2 years caring for pets through some of their toughest moments. I then passed my boards to be a certified VT. For me, THIS has never just been a job. ❤️ I do this because I genuinely love animals and want every pet to feel safe, loved, and cared for. I’m here for you & your pets! ❤️ They’re my best friends too! 🐾🤍 I work 4 days during the week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. (10 hour shifts). I consistently have Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday off. I am always willing to stop before and after my work days as well. For dogs: I love taking dogs on peaceful park adventures for fresh air and exercise, choosing quiet times with no other dogs around to keep outings comfortable, safe, and stress-free. Sometimes will take them to get a pup cup (if they like car rides and have no stomach issues). I always ask owners what their pets love the most, whether it is walks, playing fetch or enjoying a favorite snack! Cats: They deserve a space where they feel safe, comfortable, and completely at ease! 🐱🤍 I strongly believe in creating a low-stress environment and letting every cat settle in at their own pace, with plenty of patience, love, and respect for their individual personality. Your kitty will have their own room to relax, a cat tower to climb, toys galore, and fresh catnip on hand for extra fun! 🌿 If your cat enjoys socializing, my very friendly resident cat and small dog are happy to offer some company, too. Whether your baby is a playful little explorer or a shy snuggle bug who needs extra time to feel at home, I’ll tailor their care to what makes them happiest and most comfortable.

About: Although I do not currently have pets of my own, I have always loved animals and have been the go-to pet sitter for friends and colleagues since moving back to Pittsburgh in 2019. I have cared for dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and personalities, from quick check-ins to longer stays. Because I work remotely, my schedule is flexible and I can provide consistent care, attention, and updates while you are away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and your home, so I try to be dependable, communicative, and attentive to each pet’s routine. Since I do not have pets of my own, I genuinely enjoy getting to care for other people’s pets like they are part of my extended family. I work remotely, so my schedule is flexible and I can provide pet care during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends depending on the booking. Because I can work from different locations, I’m able to spend quality time with pets during house sitting stays and provide consistent check-ins, feeding, walks, playtime, and updates. I’m happy to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I care for pets in their own home, where they can stay comfortable with their usual routine, space, food, toys, and schedule. I always follow owner instructions closely, including feeding, medication, walks, litter care, crate routines, and any house rules. I’m respectful of both your pet and your home, and I prioritize communication, safety, and calm, attentive care. I’ll also send updates so you know your pet is doing well while you’re away.

On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 87% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
