About: I have owned pets my entire life. Dogs, cats, birds, a snake-who is still with us. I currently have a golden retriever named Oakley. My grand dog, Moose also lives with us. He is a blood hound. Roz the ball python. We recently lost our beloved tuxedo cat at 20 years old. His name was Odie. I have owned high energy dogs-3 huskies, including one that was deaf towards the end of his life. Our pets are family, they are just furry humans! I currently work full time from home and I walk everyday. I would love to include your dog on my walks. I can also be available for check-ins and potty breaks if unable to walk d/t inclement weather. I have a large yard for running off leash or on an e-collar as well as a fenced area. Your pets will never be left unattended or unsupervised. Pets are family and are allowed to roam freely in our home. I can also crate your pet as desired for sleeping or if we have to leave the house briefly.

About: Growing up we’ve always had dogs in our house and I’ve always been around dogs. I’ve cared for dogs in middle school and always kept their care up to the owners standards. I’m currently a full time student at Bay and am at school for no longer than four hours at a time. This leaves me plenty of time throughout the day to care for your pets. I’m also a single parent to a little boy so I do not do overnight stays. I will keep your pet’s care up to your standards as if you were caring for them. They will be exercised properly, taken outside and given plenty of attention while you are away. I have two friendly dogs if your pet needs some company also.

I am so excited to have Shannon planned to walk my dog weekly. She seems like the perfect fit as she is patient and has a calming energy which is perfect as my dog is anxious with new people. She has experience with reactive dogs and has the same positive approach to dealing with that as we have been working on so I am confident she will be a great fit!

Jayson was very quick with communication, easy to work with and I get confident in his services. We were in the area on vacation and he came to our campground and walked our 3 dogs while we were out doing tourist stuff. I would certainly recommend him!

About: Providing care and love to animals all of my life and it's still my dream come true! As an adult, I have been self employed with a private pet care business as well. I was professionally, skillfully and thoroughly trained by the much experienced and educated owner-operator. My heart is made full being surrounded by animals while being attentive to their individual needs. Happy, healthy, and safe is my motto! A UP drive is always beautiful, so no worries on your distance from me for overnight stays. Happily "waiting" for your PAWS & TAILS, Briana Currently, I'm making the transition back to being with pets and caring for their needs. Everyday with a fur baby is an amazing one! I'm available to care for your pets in your home and outdoors, whenever you may need! Keeping your babies safe, along with humans and animals, are extremely important to me. Providing affection, caring for their individual needs while keeping everyone safe, is a consistent priority! I have respect and compassion for your pets with the utmost integrity in your home.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
