Able to give medication to your babies or stay with strict diets. Whatever your pet needs I can do :) I just moved to the area and haven’t found a job yet so my availability is 24/7 :) available for last minute trips or ones planned months in advance I have a border collie about to be 8 years old. We currently live in a travel trailer but he gets multiple walks and play time through out the day. He gets two meals a day and a never empty water bowl and lots of treats! And he loves making new furry friends wherever he goes

About: Experience with senior animals, large dogs, skittish animals, I have been taking care of animals since I was young and have a passion of animals/ animal care and often foster dogs. I work at FOAC(the animal rescue). I also have experience with medical dogs, including diabetes. I currently am enrolled in Columbia College but it is all online. Therefore I have time to walk dogs multiple times a day, as well as play with them. I make sure the animals get to know and trust me, show them love and attention, make sure animals are well taken care of no matter the kind of job I am doing or who’s animal.

About: I have over 20 years experience taking care of other people’s “fur babies”. I love them like they are mine. I am very responsible, dependable, observant and able to handle any unexpected situations that might arise. I am self-employed and work part-time so I have a lot of availability. I have the ability (and desire) to give pets quality time and attention. Every pet is unique and their needs are different. Some pets prefer physical connection while others prefer having a ball thrown for them to chase. Like us, pets each have their own love language. I endeavor to “speak” love in the language each pet prefers.

About: Hi!! I am Maria, 21 years young. I have experience with puppy/kitten training, senior pet care, and giving medications. I’m attentive, trustworthy, and passionate about creating a safe, loving environment for pets! I am currently on summer break from university so I decided to spend this free time with animals since I adore them. I will sadly only be doing this for the month of July and the first week of August. I have taken care of dogs and cats my whole life, whether being my brothers dogs or dog/cat sitting for friends. I currently have 3, 8 week old kittens, 2 males and 1 female, which I love!! I will follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, play, and medications as needed. I create a calm, clean, and safe environment in your home. I will make sure to keep your home tidy and your fur baby happy!

About: I’ve been trusted with every sort of pet from a tiny lizard to a giant horse. I also have years of experience working in a veterinary hospital and providing care to young and old pets. I currently work as a Behavioral therapist for kids with autism. I don’t start my work day until 12 pm and have plenty of time in between clients to care for your sweet animals. With a flexible schedule and plenty of time before and after work I can ensure all pets will get the time and care they deserve. I have a big fenced yard that my dog freely runs in. Where I also take my bunny and cat on frequent walks. All of my pets are very friendly and love the company of other animals.

About: I have owned dogs, horses, chickens and pigs my entire life. Prior to having my twins, I worked at a vet office for three years as a receptionist and vet assistant. While working at the vet office, I pet sat for clients dogs and cats when they went out of town. I also worked at a pet boarding facility before the vet, but at both places I cared for all the animals as if they were my own. I am currently working part-time night shift, I am a mom to my twin daughters that are three years old and my son who is seven months old. My husband is a mobile mechanic and makes his own schedule so if there is a prior commitment that I have my husband can be around for the short time that I am out. I treat every animal and home I pet sit at as if they're my own! I love sharing pictures with the clients to ensure they can feel at ease that they’re pet is being well cared for.

“I couldn't be happier with Jef and his time spent with my dog - Jax was clearly happy and content when we got home from our trip. Jef was responsive, flexible when I changed things up a bit, and I absolutely recommend him to other pet owners. I'll be contacting him next time we head out without our pup.”

“Shawna did a great job taking care of Meeko! She was clear about her schedule and her plan for spending time with Meeko. She communicated well through her stay and got along great with Meeko. I came home to a happy kitty. :)”

About: I am a born and raised farm girl. I have taken care of all kinds of animals especially dogs and cats. I love to take them on walks around the neighborhood. I have a lot of experience in general care and would love to meet and care for your fur babies. I am currently a part-time student and work mainly online so I will have plenty of time to be with your pets and spend quality time playing/exercising. I have friendly fur babies here at home that would love to play with yours. I do happen to have one dog who isn't as friendly but he is always crated when other dogs are around so there is no worries in your pets getting hurt here. I assure you that they will get the best care and love here.

“Rebekah is absolutely wonderful. The pictures of our girls each day helped us be worry free while on vacation. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our kiddos.”

About: I have 10+ years of experience with dogs, cats, and other animals. I have owned 5 dogs and trained all of them to do basic and intermediate level tricks. I will care for your pets as if they were my own! Anything that your pet needs, I guarantee I will take care of it. I am available part-time to come to your home and drop in on your pets, or to stay with them in their home while you're away! I have CPR and first aid training related to pets, and I also used to volunteer for the SPCA. I love working with animals, and I look forward to working with you! Thank you for reading! Since making pet sitting my full time job, being at home with your pet is my main priority. However, I do have to leave occasionally to go run errands or check in on others pets. Other than that, I will be at home with your pet. As long as you communicate with me on your availability, I can move my schedule around to accommodate you. But I ask kindly to please be respectful of my time, as I am of yours. All dogs are kept on leashes for walks. A fenced yard is where most playing takes place. You can read more about my safety protocols below: ESCAPE PREVENTION **While on a walk:** - Always use a secure harness and leash, preferably a double leash for added security. - Be vigilant and attentive to surroundings, avoiding areas with distractions that could cause a dog to bolt. - Use verbal commands and leash corrections as needed to maintain control. **Bolting through doors:** - Implement a strict policy of ensuring doors are securely closed at all times. - Use baby gates or crates as barriers if needed during entry and exit times. - Train dogs to wait patiently at doors before exiting or entering. **Playing in a fenced yard or dog park:** - Inspect the fencing for any gaps or weaknesses before allowing dogs access. - Supervise play sessions closely to prevent climbing or digging under fences. - Use recall training consistently to call dogs back if they approach the boundaries. INTRODUCTIONS **Two situations for introductions:** - Introducing a new dog to resident dogs in the household. - Introducing dogs to each other at a dog park or social gathering. **Introduction procedure:** - Introductions should occur in neutral territory to minimize territorial behavior. - Use leashes initially to control the dogs and ensure safety. - Observe body language closely for signs of aggression or stress (e.g., raised hackles, stiff posture). - Allow sniffing and initial interaction in a controlled manner. **Warning signs I watch for:** - Growling, snapping, or excessive barking. - Stiff body posture, ears pinned back, or tail raised stiffly. - Attempted dominance displays (mounting, head-over-shoulder posture). **Reaction to stress signs:** - Immediately separate the dogs if signs of stress or aggression appear. - Redirect their attention calmly and assess the situation before attempting further introductions. FEEDING **Feeding multiple pets at once:** - Separate feeding areas for each pet to prevent resource guarding. - Feed pets in crates or gated areas if necessary. - Supervise meal times and maintain a calm environment to reduce anxiety. ANXIETY **Calming anxious pets:** - Create a comfortable, safe space with familiar items (e.g., their bed, toys). - Use calming techniques such as gentle petting, soothing voice, or soft music. - Engage in low-stress activities like short walks or play sessions to distract from anxiety. **Communication with owner:** - Document any signs of anxiety observed, including frequency and severity. - Provide updates to the owner via text or email, detailing activities and behavior changes. - Suggest strategies for the owner to continue managing anxiety after the stay ends. By following these safety protocols, I'm well-prepared to handle various situations that may arise while dog sitting, ensuring the safety and well-being of the pets under my care.

About: Hi! My partner and I are 30 years old. I’m a ER physician and my partner is a firefighter. We have an old pup at home and surprisingly have enough time after work to take care of your baby. I went to a veterinary school to complete my masters and spend a significant time with dogs, cats, alpacas, donkeys, etc. Why I am starting this is because I love to stay active, especially with my dog. I have a rescue dog that is very timid, and randomly gets scared and tries to flee the situation. I have a good deal of experience with timid rescue dogs and now I know when to be patient and wait them out. Depending on your dogs active level, I will walk, hike, or run with you pup. The more activity, the better for me! Our schedules greatly vary due to the nature of our work. But currently we have lots off this summer and can give your fluff all the attention they need. We have a fenced yard and I have an older pup to keep your baby company. Also would be willing to watch the fluff in a crate if needed, they would never be left home alone.

Implementing accommodations that ensure their comfort and well-being, I am fully prepared to rise to the occasion and provide the exceptional care your furry friend deserves. Your pets aren't just clients; they're cherished members of an extended family, and their happiness and health are my top priorities.
