“Allison came through in a pinch because it was hard to find a sitter over the holidays. Understood the cat’s special diet, came home to a happy cat.”

About: Besides taking care of my own pets since I was a kid, I have over three years professional experience providing your four-legged family with quality care. From pups and kittens to older animals, I am skilled at maintaining a seemless regimen of care so your time away can be as worry free as possible. Right now, looking after your pets is my #1 priority. I'm free weeknights, weekdays and weekends - expect consistent communication, lots of photos, and plenty of love! I specialize in maintaining consistent care, especially for older animals. Rest assured your pets will enjoy a seemless transition while you're away. I'll preserve whatever routines you have established so it'll be like you never left (not that anyone could replace you)!
3. Erica A.
“Erica did a great job taking care of our three dogs while we visited family out of state. Definitely recommend her to anyone needing a dog sitter. Thank you Erica!”
4. Courtney B.
“Courtney is a great sitter. She put up with my cancelling and rescheduling my trips and was very open about availability. She followed my instructions and gave my Katie some love when she approached her but let her hide when she felt the need. I look forward to having her care for Katie again when I leave for a longer trip.”
5. Kathy A.
“Kathy stepped in for us twice for late-notice requests and I am so appreciative. The first was when another sitter had to cancel a boarding job. Kathy was able to have my dog and me over for a meet and greet just a few days before the trip. She spent a lot of time with us, listening to all of my questions and concerns. During the boarding itself, everything went great and she was responsive with updates. My dog seemed to enjoy his time with her. I'd be happy to board him with Kathy again. The same day Kathy dropped our dog off, we asked if she could do some drop-in visits that same week and she was able to help us once again. This took a weight off my shoulders to have her be so accommodating and reliable, especially on such short notice.”
6. Marie A.
“Marie was amazing. She took great care of our 2 kittens that had never been left alone before for 10 days. She sent pictures which provided peace and comfort knowing they were happy. I will absolutely hire Marie again.”
7. Sayhan N.
About: My family has had many kinds of pets since I was a kid. We often took in injured animals and nursed them back to health. We got a Chihuahua when I was 15, I'm now 30 and she recently passed away. Her name is Teka and she was my baby. We had her for 15 years. I own my own business so I can work literally whenever I want. My schedule is completely malleable. I can easily shape my work schedule around anything. Also please note if you hire me for house sitting, my beloved will go with me, she is exceptionally gifted with animals. I can take your dog out literally any time, and for any length of time. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I also have plenty of cuddles.
8. Amy P.
“Amy is absolutely awesome! I had never used a pet sitter before so I was a bit apprehensive about having a stranger care for my cat in my home while I was away, but I am so glad I chose Amy. Not only was she super friendly, flexible and quick to respond to my questions, but you can tell she genuinely loves animals. I really appreciated the pictures she sent of Stevie while I was gone and the updates on how she was doing. Amy gave me the peace of mind I needed to enjoy my trip away. I’ll definitely be using her again.”
9. Justice W.
“I had Justice come over to my farm and watch my 7 year old Pointer, my 14 year old Golden Retriever and a variety of animals from my horse to cats to my chickens. Justice made sure they were well cared for and went above and beyond to make sure they were kept safe during the winter months. She gave our dogs plenty of exercise and made sure our older retriever got his medicine each day. I would recommend Justice to pet sit/house sit for anyone who wants peace of mind while they are away.”

About: I have done a lot of dog sitting in the past, and now I work at a vet clinic. I also have 3 dogs of my own and absolutely love spending time with any dogs. I am currently working full time at a vet clinic but do have some flexibility on what days I’m off. Usually 4 days on and 4 days off at a time. I wouldn’t be bringing the pets to my home, but when I go to a clients house I make sure to follow all of the instructions they provide.
11. Heather B.
“I have booked through Paws in the Sand for three years and Heather is absolutely the most gracious and kind pet sitter on the coast. If you want your pet in safe and loving hands I suggest!!”
12. Andrea S.
About: Hi there! My name is Andrea, AJ for short, and my background includes working as a zookeeper and at a wild animal sanctuary. I've worked and have taken care of all types of animals including dogs, cats, birds, small animals, fish, reptiles, amphibians and many more. I also have veterinary experience. I have a rescue pup at home named Nova. She loves to play with other dogs! With my vast experience in animal care coupled with my passion for animals I know I would be a great fit to take care of your pets when you are unable to do so! I love all animals and always give every animal the best care possible. I truly am an animal care professional and would love to meet your furbabies! I currently do seasonal work where I do wildlife surveys for owls.🦉 I bring my dog with me to work and I take her with me pretty much everywhere I go. During the off-season of my job is when I have the most time for petsitting. Since my seasonal job is only half the year, I dedicate my time to helping others with pet care the other half. For active dogs I will take them out on an adventure each day. I am a daily hiker and hitting the trail with canine friends is one my favorite past times. I am very attentive to each individual animal and their needs.
13. Brenna B.
“Brenna was an amazing cat sitter! She is extremely communicative, trustworthy, and kind, even my shy cats came out to see her! It is clear that she cares deeply for animals and is great at caring for them :)”
14. Christa S.
“We were on vacation and needed to leave the dog behind for 3 hours in August. She is not crate trained and is a barker. The sitter was a great option to keep Katie supervised and active for that time. Thanks!”
