About: I have cared for several work friend's pets, including someone who had 7 medium-large dogs with a laundry list of special accommodations and medications needed I am an Army Veteran going to college, this leaves my afternoons and weekends completely free. I can alter the rest of my schedule to accommodate your pet I have a dog and cat of my own, so I have experience with the difference in the needs and behaviors of the two most common household pets. I am a student at Virginia-Maryland college of veterinary medicine trying to earn some extra money by doing what I love, playing with pets. I have experience with all types of pets at varying sizes and personalities. During my undergraduate career, I raised two Seeing Eye Dogs and helped other raisers with training. During this time, I worked at a veterinary hospital, participated in animal specific events like vaccination clinics, and groomed. From healthy puppies and kittens to seniors who need medication, I have seen it all and am prepared to help with whatever your pet needs. As someone who owns two dogs, pet care is a priority in my life. Both of my pups get plenty of one-on-one time as well as long walks and enrichment in the house. During the day, the pups are crated while I am at school, but if my boyfriend is off of work they get to run around and play. As soon as I get home the dogs get taken out and fed. Along with daily care, I take care of all of their grooming and medical needs as well. I currently live in apartment complex which has a dog play area for your furry friends to get plenty of exercise. There is also a trail connected to the complex which will be utilized for long walks and plenty of sniffing opportunities. I currently work from home, and my schedule is pretty open, though I do travel between Columbia, SC and Roanoke, VA often for the time being. If interested in booking, at least 4 days of notice would be wonderful! Inside of your home, I will care for your pet the same way you would if you were home. I will follow specific instructions tailored to your pet, including feeding times, walks, medications, rules in the home, etc. I love going on walks, and stopping by for potty breaks as well, and will tailor the experience to your pet and what they need.

About: My love for animals began at 8 years old with my two aquatic dwarf frogs named Rocky and Elvis and my hamster, Josie. In college, I fostered sick kittens from a local shelter. My first few years of living on my own allowed me to adopt my two cats, Piper and Blue. But it wasn’t until I moved into my first house with a yard that I knew I could provide a loving home for dogs, as well. I love all shapes and sizes, but big dogs have my heart. Currently my parents own an English Lab and a Chow Chow/ German Shepherd mix. Our first dog, Molly, inspired the paw tattoo on my inner wrist. I miss her every day. As for my cats: I had a roommate with a Boykin, and they hang out with an Australian Shepherd often. My cats would love to share their home with any furry friend! I am off during the summers because I teach, so I am pretty wide open with my availability for July. I am available for meet and greets and can meet at a public location, but in some circumstances I will be able to accommodate meet and greets at my home, so you can see where your sweet pet will be staying. I am comfortable hosting two dogs at once for now (this may change in the future). My cats stay in a separate room, but I do encourage clients to be up front about how their dogs feel about cats so I can prepare accordingly. When you bring your pet for their stay, please either pre portion their meals in separate bags, or have specific instructions for me (i.e. one cup of kibble, etc.). Please specify what treats (if any) they are allowed to have. I have the supplies that you will need so that you can confidently drop off your fur baby knowing that they will be taken care of and entertained during their stay. They’ll just need their harness (if used), as well as any toys from home they they can’t part with! I am on top of the weather and the heat fronts and have been enjoying early morning or late evening walks, always checking the temperature of the pavement first. While most dogs LOVE to fetch for hours in my backyard, their safety is my top priority and breaks will be well supplied throughout the day. Under no circumstance will your dog be allowed outside without me right there accompanying them. I am 5 minutes away from my personal and emergency vet, DeRolf. I am off all summer- I am available at all times every day of the week. I teach, so I need something to keep me busy this summer. I have a large, fenced in yard that dogs love to run and play fetch in. My home is comfy and dogs are allowed on / in any space in my home (we share furniture in these parts). I am very responsible and have pet sat in others homes multiple times. I have always appreciated the opportunity others have given me to make friends with their pet and care for them like they are my own.

About: I owned a beautiful 7 year old St. Bernard and although he was stubborn he taught me a lot. I am able to control and establish a barrier of trust between us to ensure my safety, his and the safety of those around us because let's be honest he is a big boy (180 lbs to be exact). Taking care of such a big boy, ensures me that I will be able to take care of your fur baby, no matter the size, or temperament. I have cared for many other dogs and house sat a few with behavioral problems as well. I am currently working part time, however my schedule is not exact, so as long as you reach out I will most likely be able to accommodate you and your furry friend. I have a front yard and a large crate meant for any size if necessary. I live in a townhome and can take your dog for as many or as little walks as they need.

About: Had a boxer for 11 years in my family and for the last 5 I was his caregiver. His name was Rocky and cancer took him unfortunately. Love all animals and will take care of yours as mine. They are family. Currently have a pretty open schedule so feel free to reach out. Im sure with enough time we can make it happen. From Monday to Sunday I can do 8am to 8pm I take care of my cats as owners of the house and family. I provide with my family liked to call "extreme and detailed pet care". They say I do too much, I say I do the bare minimum.

I also currently work at the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center, so caring for animals is a daily thing for me while also caring for my own. The biggest dog I have experience with is a Great Dane while the smallest is a Yorkshire Terrier. I currently work at the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center part-time, so Rover will be more of a secondary income for me. I work with dogs, cats, and rabbits daily but also have experience with pets including hamsters and fish. My dogs are let outside at least 6 times a day. Those times definitely being morning, noon, evening, and night and some times in between. They are crated while I’m not home but while I am with them they freely roam. They even sleep with me.

Treats that are packed by you for them with instructions on limits...2 feeding times (food packed by you, )plenty of water
