“This was my very time to use any kind of service like this and Arely made it so smooth! Such wonderfully attentive and kind care she gave my boy. Very communicative and perfectly pleasant! I look forward to having her care for my boy again!”
About: I am a woman in my late 50's, (a mom and a grandma) who has been taking care of "critters" of all types for over 20 years, between Texas, and my home state of Minnesota. I am basically available all the time since I am retired from my career field, in Nutrition, and do this full-time now. I have done pet sitting, on the side, even while working in my career field, as animals have always been my passion. My place is in the country and very pet friendly. I have a small Chihuahua mix, a standard Dachshund, and a shepherd mix, who are all quite friendly. Your pet can be immersed with mine, or kept in a separate, fenced area; whichever works best for your pet. All can be confined as to provide your fur baby plenty of tlc and attention.
“I had an unexpected death in the family and Logan responded quickly, let me book last minute, and was very helpful. Especially since she sent daily pictures of my pets, it was nice to not have to worry about them while everything else was going on. I definitely recommend her.”

“We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter! She was reliable, took our dog out exactly when requested, and kept us updated throughout the visit. We especially appreciated the photos she sent, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dog and made sure he was comfortable and well cared for. We would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

Actualmente no estoy trabajando, solo estudio, soy ama de casa y tengo 3 niñas y mis mascotas , tengo el tiempo para cuidar a tu mascota. I have a fenced garden, and the animals can be inside the house. I cannot take care of aggressive dogs or dogs that do not get along with other dogs since I have my daughters and my pets in the house. Tengo el jardin vallado, y los animales pueden estar dentro de la casa. No puedo cuidar a perros agresivos o que no se lleven con otros perros ya que tengo mis hijas y mis mascotas en la casa.
“This is Tania’s third time watching our dogs. She has dog sat for my Great Danes twice before, which is amazing in itself, but this time I added my two small dogs and she did great. Tania is super kind and follows direction so well. I will absolutely continue using Tania as my dog sitter! She’s the best.”

About: I have taken care of pets for neighbors, family, and friends since 2014, most often as a sitting while the owners are out of town. I work 32 hours a week as a nanny and have a split schedule; this will allow me to visit your pets during breaks between work shifts in the morning, afternoon, and evenings. I am available to stay overnight as well. I love caring for my pet Rex. I love to give him treats, toys, take him on walks, etc. Anything to keep him feeling engaged and enriched. I am very mindful of his behavior and have learned what he needs based on how he acts. I will pay this much attention to detail with your pets!
“Brooklyn really went above and beyond and braved the awful icy roads to make sure my kitties were fed and watered in the awful cold weather we had. Excellent caretaker all the way around 🤩”

About: Hi! My name is Gracie I am in college at Texas Woman’s University here in Denton, TX. I have been pet sitting since I was about 13 years old. I enjoy getting to know pets and animals while also taking care of them and making sure they are safe. I have pets of my own back home so i know what it’s like to have fur babies and trusting someone to care for them. If in need of a sitter please message me to schedule! I am a current student and athlete at Texas Woman’s university, but i have time between classes and during the evening and week nights to walk, check in, and take care of pets. I personally live in an apartment so at my home it is smaller. But at a clients home I will follow instructions specifically and check in on the pets making sure they are well fed, hydrated, and if they are in need of any care or just some scratches and petting!

“Once again we used Katie and we're extremely satisfied. She takes great care of my Fur Kid, Aspen. She is highly recommended by me!! And she will be used again and again. Thank you so much for caring, Katie.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gainesville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
