About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, and have grown up around dogs. I currently own a German Shepherd and Coton De Tulear, both of whom are my pride and joy, along with the rest of our pack. I understand that these precious souls mean so much to so many people, and promise that under my care and supervision they’ll be treated with the utmost respect and love, just as if they were my own! I’m currently in school full time, so while my availability may be limited depending on the hour, I assure you my care for your pets isn’t! Please double-check that the dates/times you need align with my availability before submitting a booking. Thank you! It’s all dependent on what my clients homes are equipped with! If you have a fenced yard and high energy dogs, I’m more than happy to take them outside to play and explore, or play inside. Treats are always an option, as are pets, cuddles, and plenty of love for your fur babies!

I offer to care for the pets so the adults can have a night out. animals of all ages, puppies-kittens to elderly animals. i love watching each pet grow and have fun. i learn a lot from them as they do from me. and depending on weather ill travel with them to a local park to walk or run around without them running off. i am currently in the military one weekend a month and two weeks in the summer but it never stopped me from my passion of helping out when i get the chance to. holidays i can work with. a certain holiday is very special to me. I cant wait to work with animals and love it every day make sure each pet goes outside and gets there paws and bodies moving so they don't get stiff. feed them according to a schedule/ routine. pills will be giving according to there owners care guide. bring them to the vets or emergency vets if giving permission to do so. let the pet come to me and let them get to know my sent before i rush into to pets. talk with the owners to know where there items are and what is expected of me while they are in my care. lots of love and cuddles are important along with rewards and letting the pet have there space to relax.

About: I’ve had cats growing up and have pet sat big doggies, kitties, bunnies, chickens, and more! I’m so excited to show your fur babies some love! I work during the day, usually from the 9-5 timeframe, though it can vary week-to-week. I’m here to make them as comfortable as possible while you’re away! I aim to make your furry friends feel as comfortable and cared for as possible. I’m happy to give them water, food, pets, or whatever else they are needing.
About: I’ve been around pets my whole life and genuinely love all animals. I had my first cat at age 4 and grew up with both cats and dogs. I also lived with a rescued pit bull for several years (she had a rough past and didn’t do well around other dogs), so I have some experience with anxious pups on walks. I understand how important it is to build trust and work at a pet’s pace. Whether your pet is social and playful or a bit shy and needs space, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at and give them the best care possible. Even with a full-time job in finance, I make time for what matters—and for me, that includes animals. I work a standard weekday schedule, but my evenings and weekends are all open for pet care. The flexibility of my job may allow for a late morning - early afternoon check-in. Whether its a walk, evening check-in, or weekend drop-ins, I’m happy to build a schedule that fits your pet’s needs. I also spend most of my downtime at home, so if your pets need longer visits, I can give them plenty of attention and company. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and committed to keeping your pet’s routine as normal and comforting as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely—whether it’s feeding, medications, walking schedules, or just the way your pet likes their favorite toy tossed. I know every animal is different, and I take the time to get to know their personality and needs. If we arrange care in my home, your pet will be treated like one of my own. I have a calm, pet-friendly space and three cat companions who are used to other animals and are gentle and well-socialized. I always do a slow introduction and only bring in pets that I know will be comfortable in that environment. Safety and comfort are my top priorities, whether I’m in your home or you're trusting your pet with mine.
About: I have always had a way with animals. They seem able to feel the peace and caring in me so that aren’t afraid.I am personable and genuinely care for people and animals . I am 58 years old and have extra time to take care of your pet. I don’t work a full time job anymore so I am available mostly anytime I am needed If you need me to stay in your home to care for your pet, I am respectful of your house and everything within it. I own my house and know the anxiety of leaving someone you don’t know in your home wondering what your home will look like when you get back. Your home will look exactly the same as it did when you left. Possibly even clear than when you left.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 16 year old. It started with watching my neighbors dogs! I have lots of experience with older dogs and puppies! I also have a 95lbs yellow lab at home that’s my own :) I have a 7am-3pm job Monday-Friday, and I am able to help walk a dog in the early morning time and or an evening walk for the dog! I can even do drop-in care for cats, lizards, ferrets, etc. I take care of dogs by giving them a nice long walk, playing with their dog toys with them, fetch, etc. I think physical activity is so important for dogs! Especially giving them love and attention.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Furniss
What a pleasure it was to meet Alyssa! She was prompt, communicative, and kind. We loved that she was able to stay in our trailer, at the campsite, for the day. Our three dogs liked Alyssa! That’s not always something that happens! We were so happy with her pictures and texts showing how the day was going. She even left a list of things for us to see and do in the area. We would highly recommend Alyssa!

Alyssa is very sweet, responsive, and responsible. She was wonderful with our cat, Margot, and I felt so reassured knowing Alyssa was at the house during the week we were away. She was also very tidy and respectful of our home. I will definitely be using Alyssa in the future and cannot recommend her enough!

Stephanie was punctual and considerate, and was available to housesit for me on very short notice. She took care of my pet's needs and even administered medication to my post-op dog on schedule. She sent regular updates and pictures of the pets. She walked my very energetic Goldendoodle and resolved disputes between the dog and my cat.

On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Furniss walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Furniss maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Furniss choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
