“Justina is fantastic! She is sweet and friendly. Justina was great with Bandit prepping for and on his walks. Justina was very patient with bandit and able to get him to walk when he was at times resistant. I feel so fortunate to have found her.”

About: Currently, I work full time during the week, but I will be unemployed at the end of August. I have my Bachelor's in Biology and Master's in Biotechnology. I have had animals all my life, and I could not imagine living without them. I currently live with two sassy kitties. I would ultimately love to have a farm of some sort with a wide array of animals like donkeys, cats, dogs, ducks, and much more! I am very easy going and adaptable. I will be unemployed as of the end of August, so I will have more than enough time to spend with the furry babies. I still currently work full time, but my week day nights and weekend days are open! I rigorously follow whatever schedule of the pet's, and make sure that basics are always covered such as full water, clean litter boxes, enough playtime, etc.
About: I've been a dog lover my entire life and have always had dogs as part of my family. The only reason I don't currently have one of my own is because my landlord doesn't allow pets. Caring for animals, especially dogs, is something I truly enjoy, and I have experience with both dog walking and pet sitting. As a full-time professional who works from home most of the time, I have a flexible schedule and can provide dependable, attentive care for your pet throughout the day. My career has taught me the importance of responsibility, communication, and reliability which are qualities I bring to every pet-sitting and dog-walking opportunity. I'm often the go-to person among my friends when they need someone to watch their dogs, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. Whether it's taking your dog for a walk, providing companionship while you're away, or helping with other pet care needs, I'm happy to help. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. My passion for animals, combined with my professionalism, dependability, and flexible availability, sets me apart. Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I love making time for animals. Three days a week I work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, playtime, and drop-in visits throughout the day. On the days I’m not home, I’m still available for morning, evening, and weekend care. I enjoy building my schedule around pet care—it’s something I truly look forward to! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to keep their routine consistent and their space respected. I’ve stayed in many people’s homes without any issues, always leaving things just as I found them. I focus on making pets feel comfortable and secure—whether that means following feeding schedules, giving walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply providing company. My goal is to treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own.

“My dogs love Lorraine. She is everything you could ask for in a dog sitter. She has stayed at my house several times and gives me peace of mind when I need to leave my furry kids.”

“Without me even asking, Emma made sure my fur baby was safe during these hot days. Avoiding the black top and sticking to grassy areas! She definitely put any stress I had at ease and made sure I knew Damian was cared for.”

“Niki responded quickly, was willing to accommodate me last minute while I was feeling sick, and Mika was happily tired after her walk- what more could you ask for? Thank you again so much for your help!!”

About: I Love dogs, since my dog has passed away several years ago I enjoy pet sitting to fill the void. Animals are love. Your animal will be cared for and loved the way you would. We have a fenced in yard which your animal can play in and he will not be ignored or cooped up. We have had many dogs in the past but do not currently have one. Good with large dogs, or all sizes, really, Many people have trusted us with their dogs but now I am trying this service hoping it works well on all ends, it seems like a good idea. Your animal will be in a safe environment and you can get regular updates. Thank you for considering me. I am currently tele commuting working from home. Your dog won't be left alone for hours on end and will not be ignored. Usually home 7 days a week The yard is fenced in, and I have also been using an apple air tag as an extra level of security. Making sure your dog never gets away is the highest priority.

About: My family has had pets my entire life, including large breed dogs such as huskies and bully breeds, cats, reptiles, and amphibians. I frequently pet sit for family and friends, which ranges from stopping in for potty breaks on a long work day or in-house pet sitting for up to a week at a time. I am a freelancer so my schedule is super flexible and I am looking forward to making your fur babies a consistent part of it! I follow client instructions to the T: always on time, no unapproved snacks (no need for upset bellies!), and following the pets' lead when they take a little extra time to warm up

About: Hello, You should know that I owned three dogs in the past. I am retired after 38 years in an electric power company. I absolutely adore dogs. I would lovingly care for your pet!! During my childhood our dog was a Scottish Terrier-Molly. After I married we obtained a Bearded Collie. Then later rescued a Greyhound. Before my Rover experience, I took care of three dogs -- pet sitting, walking, petting, loving. Max, my daughter's mixed breed dog, is SO MUCH fun. He is very active and I practically run to keep up with him. Tex, my older daughter's dog, is a real handful! He LOVES his walks and loves to play with his toys. Boomer and Cheddar were my brother's English Bulldogs--they both were limited in activities but just loved to lay on the couch with me and cuddle! I am retired and can work any day/night of the week. I absolutely love dogs and cats and would like the opportunity of walking/sitting yours. I live in a pet-friendly apartment community and can keep small thru medium dogs in my home. I do love to stay in the pet owner`s home because I love the bonding experience that can be achieved there.

About: Hi! I am a pet momma of 5! I have 2 senior dogs and 2 lazy cats. My experience with dogs and cats goes far beyond just my pets. I have a bachelor's in biology with a focus on animal science. After graduating from Moravian College in 2015, I took on a job as a Veterinary Assistant at an animal shelter in NYC, Animal Care, and Control Center. Shelter medicine really awoke a passion for helping animals in dire need. My experience at the shelter led me to animal rescue. Currently, I am the founder of Zoe's Home Animal Rescue. I foster animals seeking adoption and work with foster families to maximize the number of animals we can help. I am looking to earn a little extra money in pet care. I also own 3 turtles, a tortoise, and my husband owns fish. So if your home has a lot more than four-legged pets, I'm your person! My schedule is flexible during weekday mornings and weekends. I can work with you to provide the pet care you need as well as the flexibility needed to care for your pet in the best way. I have a fenced-in yard, but I prefer to walk dogs to help with exercise and well as help gain your pet's trust. My dogs are pretty laid back and accepting of any pet I bring home. I like to call them my welcome committee whenever I bring in new fosters haha. My kids are older (10 and 14) and are animal lovers as well.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
