About: Hi, I’m Maggie! I’ve had dogs my entire life and can’t imagine a home without them. I have lived on a farm surrounded by dogs, horses, and cats, which gave me years of hands on experience caring for animals of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. After losing my beloved German Shepherd, I began fostering others through rescues. A journey that’s been both healing and incredibly rewarding. It’s deepened my understanding of different temperaments, training needs, and the importance of patience, structure, and gentle consistency. Whether I’m boarding, house sitting, or stopping in for a visit, I focus on creating a calm, loving environment where every pet feels safe and cared for like family. I treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I am currently working almost full time. I can spend evenings with your dog. I am usually gone around 6-8 hours a day at most. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I would only take outside on leash. I have a cat. I can keep the cat separated if needed.

About: I’ve owned pets since I was born, even now I own 2 rescue cats, 2 golden retrievers, chickens, ducks, too many tanks and fish to count and often many rescue animals. I’m the girl that stops my car and moves snakes, alligator snapping turtles and all manner of creatures from the road. I’m not scared of any pets, or animals. I love to meet new furry friends and often am told I have “a way” with animals. My nick name as a child was Snow White. One day we hope to own a farm. I graduated college as an EMT, so I have wound care experience and also am trained in natural medicine as well. I’m the mom of 3 and have the privilege of being a stay at home mom of humans and animals. I’m free most of the time to help care for those who need help! I often dog sit at my home with my family as supportive help for playing with and caring for those in our care. My kids adore walking, playing and loving on any pets. I and (if desired) my kids can easily come to care for your loved ones at your home as well. We cater to preferences and love animals of all kinds! Furry guests in our home usually sleep on a kid and their bed all night unless other preferred requests like a kennel if you don’t want them spoiled.

“THANK YOU Darlene. this was my first time scheduling a sitting time for my dog on Rover and away from home. Darlene was everything I wished for anyone watching my sweet Chico even for a few hours. she is a natural! she allowed us to bring Chico for a first quick meeting before the sitting date, Chico took up with her immediately and was very comfortable in her home. Her home is in a really nice and beautiful location ideal for anybody’s pet. She send me pictures and comments about Chico and how he was doing, I know he was not only taken good care of but was spoiled same as I do. Definitely will use her again and recommend her!”

About: My husband, Clifton Hicks, and I work from home and have experience with dogs, cats, pigs, guinea fowl, chickens, hampsters, guinea pigs, ducks, fish and goats. We are originally from Georgia and FL, we formerly worked for the National Park Service and US Forest Service and have settled here in SE Tennessee. We have each experienced a life time of pet care before and after meeting. To us, animals are angels! We have 1 well behaved, friendly one year old male cat and 1 mixed brindle eleven year old dog. Clifton works from home as an instrument builder, and provides banjo lessons to his clients across the globe. I am a real estate agent and I have a home office and an office at Weichert Realtors in Etowah, TN. We enjoy helping people and animals! And they are our priority above all other tasks. Clifton and/or I are home at all times. We are happy to help on short notice and have a flexible work-life schedule. We enjoy using amazon and walmart delivery because we can spend more time at home building the farm :D. Indoor space include, full access to the living room, dining room and kitchen. For outdoor space, we have 3+ acres, a screened in patio, 3 outbuildings, and 1 large kennel. We encourage good behavior with treats and patience. Our verbal communication is calm.

Able to provide exceptional care for dogs and cats, by following owners detailed instructions, including medication management, diaper and incontinence care for senior pets. Great time management and organizational skills. I work full time from home, able to supervise at all time, long experience providing love and care for elderly pets that includes medication management. I have a fenced yard and friendly pets, spacious indoor and outdoor spaces for pets to enjoy and socialize. Toys and homemade tricks are always available.

I can tailor my schedule to your dogs' play, potty break, and rest needs. I have a spacious home and yard, and have lots of time for whatever attention your dog needs. My sweet senior dog chills all day on the couch with me while I work, and we take frequent breaks to hang out on the porch and play in the yard.

We were visiting in the Blue Ridge area and had activities planned for two days that would not allow us to bring our pet along. Esmeralda's home was a peaceful retreat in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Our little morkie gets overwhelmed and stressed at boarding facilities. But she was happy and playful when I picked her up each day. Esmeralda sent updates and photos both days and was genuinely happy to see Molly each morning. We will definitely use Esmeralda again when we travel to the Blue Ridge area. We highly recommend her!”

About: My family and I have had two Huskies, one Ridgeback Mix, & a Lab/Shar Pei mix. We now currently have two, rambunctious Boston Terriers. If there’s one thing I’ve learned with these two is that family runs in fur too. The ability to provide all animals the same loving care their human family gives them, is a reflection of my own love & care for my own furry family. As I’ve discovered a deep interest in botany & herbology, I’ve applied it while baking them homemade-allergy free dog cookies! In terms of experience with pet sitting, I have had experience pet sitting for my neighbor's: two dogs, reptiles, and beta fish. I’ve also watched some cute kittens that have captured my heart, over the years. Not to mention, I have joined two friends with their pet/house sitting job adventures. On each of those occasions, I felt drawn to take more opportunities like this for myself as well.

About: I am available for walks, play time, feeding, doggy day care, and home visits or care. I require all dogs to be updated on shots I currently work an odd overnight schedule which allows me to only work 15 days per month. Therefore, I’m available some weeks and some weekends. I specialize in smaller bread’s. I have my own 2 adorable, friendly, playful Shih Tzu’s and my life long companion Hazel who is a mountain Cur. She is such a smart, gentle soul who loves her baby Shih Tzu siblings.
