“I have never used the Rover service before, but I had a three week trip planned and didn’t have many other options. I was THRILLED to find someone local to the area with such great reviews, so I decided to give the service a try. I’m so glad I did! I met with Emily once before to go over everything and right away I knew my pet was in good hands. Emily was reliable, communicative, and went above and beyond throughout the stay. I will definitely be using her again for future trips!”

“Kaitlyn was a lifesaver when we were out of town and my other Dog Sitter fell through at the last minute. She is incredibly professional, always sends very through updates on all of her drop in visits, and she takes the best pictures. Highly recommend!”
“Sherry is great and so helpful. My Saxon is getting used to being with her (4th drop-in visit) and is so relaxed when I get home. Just knowing Sherry can stop by to give Sax a good break and plenty of attention is SO helpful.”

About: I always joke to friends that we have a zoo! I am truly an animal lover through and through! We currently own 2 horses, 3 Great Danes (“horse-lite” haha), 2 special needs cats with cerebellar hypoplasia (the wobbles), a green cheek conure and a ball python. In addition to dogs and cats, in the past I have also owned an iguana, hedgehog, ferret, red-eared slider turtle, goats, llamas and probably something else that I’ve forgotten. I mention this only to say that I am not scared of helping out with whatever animal that you have. I am comfortable administering medications or helping with special needs animals. I am also comfortable helping with horses and livestock in addition to household pets. Let me know how I can make your time away from home as worry-free as possible!! I am currently at home full-time and I am available to drop in to feed and interact with your animals multiple times throughout the day. I follow your instructions for how you’d like your pets contained during the times when I would not be at the house. I only walk animals at your instruction.
About: I believe what sets me apart is my experience working in a veterinary clinic, where I’ve gained hands-on knowledge of animal health and behavior. I’m comfortable administering medications, recognizing signs of illness, and staying calm in stressful situations. I’m also very reliable and make sure to follow each pet’s routine closely while keeping owners updated, so they always feel at ease. I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to give your pups lots of attention, play with them, and make sure they’re well taken care of! I’ll be able to keep them company throughout the day and give them plenty of love and exercise. I will always make sure a pet is comfortable in my home. I may live in an apartment, but I will make sure your furry friend goes on as many walks as they want.
“Thank you to Kylie for taking care of my little senior Beau. We felt very comfortable with her and though it was just a one day of drop ins we are so appreciative of her helping us out while we were away. Thank you for keeping me informed of the visits.”

About: Hello! My name is Jordan and I'm looking to pet sit for you and your loved ones. I've cared for puppies and elderly dogs, shy and outgoing dogs, and dogs of all breeds and needs. No matter the type of dog(s) you have, I look forward to befriending and caring for them! I make sure to listen to your dog’s body language to see what they are asking for. Their tails, eyes, and body is their way of communicating their needs, wants, and feelings. Alongside their body language, I'll also follow any directions and make sure they feel safe and content by replicating their usual schedule. I don't mind taking care of chores around the house, like watering your plants or checking the mail. I will also make sure to send lots of pictures, videos, and updates to keep your heart at ease. A little about me: I am a 25 year old digital artist and a graduate from Kennesaw State University. I lived in Georgia all of my life until I moved here in 2024 with my partner. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, playing video games, reading, and baking. I’m thankful to say that pet sitting is currently my full time job! I’ve had lots of luck as a cat sitter on Meowtel and would like to expand my services to this platform, too. I usually plan my days around my clients’ schedules, meaning I can take care of your pet at any time. The safety and comfort of your loved ones are a priority of mine, so I try to stick to their usual schedule. Whether that means feeding times that come early in the morning or in the middle of rush hour! I’ve got you and your furry friend’s back. I always prioritize safety and trust when it comes to animals. Animals are very sensitive to change, especially because we can’t communicate to them what’s going on (not yet, at least.) For that reason, I try to bring in a positive and calm attitude, letting your pet decide what they are comfortable with and making sure they know I’m not a threat. I do this by moving confidently, but not quickly. I don’t make loud noises and I make sure your pet knows where I am. It’s important to me that they don’t think I’m trying to sneak around and to make sure they feel included with whatever I’m doing around their own environment. I give them space and don’t try to force any affection from them. If they want pets, I trust they will ask for them!
About: I have taken care of my own and others pets for 50+ years. I have 3 indoor dogs of my own and have become the official ball thrower to the smallest of my pets because she loves to play fetch. I also care for the Hummingbirds yearly that visit my yard from March till September. I have a full time job but can feed, walk and care for your pets needs after 5 on weekdays and all weekend beginning at 5 on Friday evening. I will care for your pets with as much love as I do my own. Pets are our family and need to be treated and loved as we would our own. I will honor all likes, food choices and instructions given regarding the animals in your home.

About: Lifelong dog and cat owner experienced with daily care, walks, feeding, medications, and giving pets patient, loving attention in a safe, dependable, and caring environment. After a long career in public education, I’m embracing this next chapter with open arms — and open doors. Your cats and dogs won’t just be watched; they’ll be genuinely enjoyed, with all the time and attention they deserve.” Your pet’s safety and your peace of mind are my top priorities. As a retired educator, I bring the same watchful eye and calm, steady presence to every visit that I brought to the classroom for years. “Kirsten is absolutely FABULOUS! She communicated with me every step of the way, sent lots of photos, and took extra special care of my dog while providing walking and feeding services. She went above and beyond! Highly recommend her for your pet care needs!”

“Sherri was absolutely fantastic! Our Poppy is still so small and requires a great deal of care and attention, and Sherri was exceptional in providing us updates, the best pics, and most importantly loving our Poppy in our absence. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
