About: Hi! I go by Kat and since I was ten I've been around animals, from living on a farm with three Great Pyrenees, four Australian Shephards, two Pugs, and two chihuahuas and numerous litters and a cat rescue of twenty-six cats to my current situation of three dogs and six cats. I have also owned rats, mice, rabbits, and a gecko, so I have experience with all sorts of pets. Aside from what I own, I have cared for cockatiels, doves,geckos, a lorikeet, great danes, and pittbulls. I also worked at a vet office for a year before I started college, and seven months at a cat hospital in Maine, along with six months of professional cat boarding. Currently I work part time night shifts so I cannot do any drop ins after 9pm or before 8am. I work part time nights only and am available all weekend, Friday through Sunday, full time, so I will have plenty of time to ensure your pets will be well cared for! I am very flexible with how to care for pets, from crate training to leashed walks or free roaming. My animals are a mixture of them all, crate trained when guests are over and free-roaming during the day when I'm outside with them.
About: I have worked with horses, many different sizes of dogs, and I am an animal lover at heart. We’ve got your tail covered all day. So I am free almost all the time and it would be me and my mom but mainly me and I have worked with many size and ages of dogs. I always keep an eye on the surroundings of where I walk the dogs and I make sure they’re safety is number one along with mine I don’t let them out of my site and I’m a very cautious person

About: I own a border collie and 2 elderly cats. I am home during the day and night. I am an avid hiker and love to take dogs for long walks in the woods. See my YouTube channel: LaceyhikesAT2026 to get to know me more. I am currently not working as I just returned from a 2200 mile hike and am looking to care for animals (as opposed to working in an office). I have availability and energy to deplete. I own my own home in rural area. My yard is nestled between a working farm and a horse pasture. I walk my border collie 3 times a day at minimum and often on trails in the woods. My animals roam free in my home and dog/cats (2 elderly) behave with confidence and happiness. My cats are indoor but one does get walked daily outside on a leash (at his insistence).
About: To see exactly what Happy Pups Stay With Us is all about, CHECK US OUT ON FACEBOOK “Happy pups stay with us” This isn’t a side job, this is my life! Your pup isn’t left alone. I am home all day everyday for your pup to have a happy stay while you’re away! I am passionate about Pups and want your fur baby to have as close to home experiences as they can while there here. They will have water and food 24/7. Frequent potty breaks. Most importantly non-stressful environment. I’ve worked at kennels and I’ve heard the horror story’s of inexperienced Rover sitters. This is not what I would want for my pups. I’m here for yours to not have to have this experience either. We are 100% cage free, LICENSED, and Insured. I’ve been in business for 6 yrs and worked professionally with pups for 20yrs. I am not just someone in this just trying to make money. I truly love these Pups and they do become our family. Seeing there happy wagging faces time after time and giving owners the safety and security that they can leave and not worry is exactly what makes this business a success. I do have fur baby’s of my own who will be there to be your pets best friend. I want to make a place you know when they’re here they are family! In the event they do not fancy other pups there is no need to worry I have accommodations for this too! Still Cage free, still have room to run, play, frolic like pups should. Most importantly still loved. Please give me a call with any questions or concerns you may have. I know how special your pet is to you, as mine are my baby’s and I want to have a place for you to feel they are getting the care they deserve. All pups must have up to date rabies vaccination with proof prior to their stay. This is for the safety of your pup and others and is also required by law. As I said before this isn’t a side job we are a fully established in home boarding/daycare pup paradise! I want to stress that because I’m not just someone who thought I like dogs, let me sign up and watch them. It takes yrs of experience to understand these amazing companions and how to care for them when placed in unfamiliar environment. We want them to thrive, be so comfortable they can’t wait to come back. Enjoy there stay so they have happy memories forever. Yes we all have pups but when placing them in an environment they are not used to, I know I would only allow someone fully knowledgeable of all aspects to ever watch my pup. Happy Pups Stay with Us…look us up, your pup will thank you for it! Someone is home all the time so your pup is never left alone. I offer drop off at 6am which is if your just dropping off. I have a family and to avoid them being disturbed you will only be able to drop off this early, not come in. If you’d like to come in it will have to be later in the day. Pick up: latest is 9pm unless otherwise confirmed. If you need earlier drop off you will have to schedule the night before. I have 2 fence in portions of the yard. Pups are never crated they live with us just like they are part of the family.

About: I say I have 10 years of pet care experience just based off of having my own dog and dog sitting other dogs. I have worked in an animal shelter in the past as well. I also had rescued a pitbull boxer who we had recently had to put down. I also have a 10 month old lab puppy, and 2 cats! I would love to have her to have someone to play with at home every once in a while. I will only be working possibly 15 to 20 hours a week at my other job. Possibly less if I have more clients with pets to watch. So I’m gonna try to keep my hours per day that I work to five hours so then I can try to be at home with the dogs a lot more. I would like to try to be outside playing or going on walks. Also cleaning up after the dog outside and or if they have an accident in the house.
About: With having a profession in animal care and living with dogs and cats my entire life, I have lots of experience taking care of pets. I, regularly, handle very friendly and very unfriendly/anti-social dogs and cats, which is very fun for me! I work full-time taking care of animals, but will be available after hours for at least a few hours most days and have most of Friday and Saturday available. I do not offer services in my own home, but I am able to offer every service in yours. I can walk, play with, and just interact with your animals in whatever way you need and if they do not socialize in those types of ways, that's alright too!

About: I’ve watched multiple of my family members dogs, ranging from big to little dogs. I enjoy spending time with animals and learning more about them. I also enjoy walking dogs around the neighborhood or to the park. I’m currently taking care of my grandma so I don’t really have a set schedule. So I’m always willing to help out. I have a dachshund and she is very nice towards animals and people so if I were to house sit she would also be very welcoming.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life growing up. Anywhere from small, medium, to large dogs. I’ve had mini dachshunds, Dalmatians, St. Bernards, and German Shepherds. Currently right now I have a 3 Golden Retrievers named Willie, Waylon, and Hank. I also have a cat named Cash! I current work full time Monday-Thursday. I can be available later evenings if needed, we would just have to work things out in advance. I am generally free Friday-Sunday for any needs as well but also with notice. We have a 2 acre yard that my pups are free to roam via a underground fence. But we also have a lead for my moms dogs when she brings them over to play. We have a big house with a good sized living room and kitchen where all of my pups play as well when we have to be inside.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
