“Vanessa provided exceptional care for our dog. She consistently sent us updates with photos and videos, keeping us informed about our dog's stay. Her knowledge and warm-hearted nature were evident, and we're thrilled to have found her in central NJ. We wouldn't hesitate to use her services again in the future. ❤️”
“It was our first time leaving our boy with Brian and will definitely not be the last. I’m sure Ragnar enjoyed his mini vacation with Teddy and Brian. Teddy and Ragnar just hit it from the start. Our boy came home to us safe and sound. 🥰”

About: 🐾 Hey there! I’m Kay. Dog lover, snuggler, and your pup’s next best friend! I’m in my 30’s with 25+ years of experience caring for dogs — especially small breeds like miniature schnauzers (my specialty!). I also have experience with: Senior pups ✔️ Rescues ✔️ Dogs with medical needs ✔️ ❗ Please note: I’m not a trainer, so I may not be the right fit for dogs with behavioral issues or aggressive tendencies — safety first! I offer: 🦴 Walks 🐶 Drop-ins 🏡 Overnight stays Let’s chat about what your pup needs — I’d love to be part of their care routine! 💬🐕 I currently work full time, normal business hours (9am-5pm). I’m mostly available on the weekends and sporadically during the week in the evenings. If you reach out, I’ll try my best to fit your needs. Pets in my home get treated like family. I have a fenced in backyard and a huge park behind my home- perfect for walks, play or even a run. I follow your pet’s routine and make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and exercise while you’re away.
“I had a great experience with Felix and her family. Communication was clear and quick. She kept me up to date with how my dogs were doing in her care. Would recommend and would use her again!”

“Jill was absolutely wonderful with Charlie and Bailey. She and her fur baby Roscoe made them feel at home. Jill was so helpful, flexible and caring with them. They were administered meds regularly, fed and cared for with great love. Her home was beautiful and very clean but still very conducive to pet care. She was in touch with pics and reports daily and they always looked happy and healthy. She lives very close so that was an extra convenience. I’m excited that we’ve found such a wonderful caregiver so close to home. We will definitely be coming back.”

“My girl Cheddar had a great time with Karlyn! She and her daughter took excellent care of Cheddar, showered her with lots of love and cuddles, and made her feel comfortable while I was away. Karlyn was responsive when I needed her, proactively communicative with updates and pictures, and flexible with scheduling pickup and dropoff. Cheddar looks forward to her next visit and I highly recommend her as a sitter.”

“We had a great experience leaving our dogs with Wanda. When we left them I heard them crying and was a bit concerned about them settling in. When we got home Wanda had texted and let us know they were setting in and sent us photos showing them relaxing. During the week we received multiple photos and updates on how it was going, which put us at ease. When we picked up the dogs they were in excellent health and very happy. We would highly recommend Wanda dog sitting services. Thank you Wanda, for taking such good care of our dogs.”

“My cat was so very well taken care of by Nazli. Nazli sent pics or videos of Baxter everyday while I was away; she gave him his meds orally in the morning and evening; and she showered Baxter with love and hugs every day. I had a last-minute cat sitter cancellation but was able to find Nazli and connect with her very quickly - she responded so fast and was very accommodating in setting up a time to meet Baxter, and to introduce him to her cat, Kuki. (She responds almost immediately to my texts or Rover messages in general). This was an excellent experience for me and for Baxter - he had a new cat friend to play with and he was just cared for with so much love. Thank you Nazli! I will definitely bring Baxter to you whenever I go out of town for a few weeks. I truly appreciate you and Baxter says meow :)”

“Jenny is an amazing dog sitter. I received communication and photos throughout each day. Our Shiba Inu was very well cared for by Jenny and her husband. I would highly recommend Jenny!”

“Jovani did an amazing job, I needed a sitter on really short notice and he answered almost immediately. Really amazing communication, sent pictures throughout the day, my dog was comfortable in very short time with him. He followed all directions and was always available with any questions or concerns I had!”

“Aivy was amazing! I can’t say enough positive things. She took the best care of Herbie to the point I didn’t think he was going to want to come home. She sent tons of pictures and loved on him like he was her own.”

“Kelsey and Conor were incredible. This was my first time using Rover and I was nervous to leave my 6-month Cav who just got spayed. They kept me up to date with pictures and loved Chloe like their own. Will be booking with them again!”

“Our pup is always so happy with Lauren and John! They kept him so comfortable during our busy wedding weekend, and let us focus on the family and friends we had in town. We highly recommend their home :)”
“Kerri & Harry was so great with my Shih-Poo. We were looking for someone that would make him feel like home and they knocked it out the park - I could tell he missed them on our drive home. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for a loving and safe place for your fur baby. We will definitely be using them again.”

About: Over the years I've cared for the pets of family friends and relatives. From taking pups on walks & play session to drop ins for cats. Making sure I'm following dietary need for each pet. Getting to know the different personalities of each animal I come across is my passion. In my childhood home I was able to experience caring for puppies until they became elderly. Though most of my experience is with pits. I was blessed to care for a doodle mix & a shih Tzu in their last years. I respect all animals and their space. I currently work full-time 3 days a week with 4 day available to care for your furbabies. Saturday- Monday is my work schedule. Tuesday-Friday I am up by 7am cleaning my home or visiting my parents. By 12pm the rest of my day is free. I can do evening drop ins (after 5pm) or overnight stays on the days I work (leave by 4am). Am very flexible during the week. If you're in need of a sitter/ care giver for family or business trips. In my home or the client's home I will follow the set schedule the clients have for their pets. My home has a fenced in backyard where I can take elderly or less fit pups to play and potty. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood where I can take your pup on walks. I do require a harness and leash set per pet with a portable water bowl to keep them hydrated on walks. A breakdown of allergies or sensitivities each pet has. As well as a bed or crate for them to sleep in overnight. At the client's house I would like to do a walk through of the property and learn the habits of their pet. This will give me an understanding of how to properly care for each individual pet in and outside of the home.
“Iris had the best time staying at Brijana’s house! This was our first time leaving her overnight with anyone else but she was very quick to make herself at home with Brijana and her dog, along with a couple other dog friends. Brijana checked in with us regularly and made us feel very comfortable. Would recommend her to anyone looking for great care!”

I had such a great experience with Angela! She was incredibly responsive and accommodating, especially since I needed someone to care for Benji at the last minute. From the moment we had our meet and greet, she made Benji feel comfortable and right at home, which gave me so much peace of mind. Throughout his stay, she kept me updated with pictures and made sure I knew he was doing well. I’m so grateful to have found someone I can trust with my baby boy! I already have her booked again for later this year and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!!!

Christine was AMAZING with my dog Lily & cat Lotus. We did an in person meet & greet with my dog at her house before booking the boarding with her, which was great. My girls got comfortable quick at her house and seemed to really enjoy their stay. Christine sent picture updates as well and was very communicative throughout the stay. She also was happy to accomodate all of their feeding needs & schedules. She was so flexible as well, which was greatly appreciated as traveling can often be stressful. The least stressful part of my trip was knowing my furbabies were safe & happy in Christine's care & her gorgeous house. I will definitely be rebooking with her & recommending to my friends and family who are looking for a pet sitter. Thank you so much again from me, Lily & Lotus.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Fostertown home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Fostertown.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Fostertown sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
