About: Hello! My name is Kara, and while I am new to Rover, I'm certainly looking forward to putting my extensive animal care experience to good use! I currently own two cats named Ernie and Fern, and I hope to one day add some more friends to our family. Nearly every job I've had involved the care of animals, from my first job at a doggy daycare, to a few summers spent working at a veterinary clinic, a challenging but rewarding period of time at an animal shelter, and my most recent work at a dairy farm! Even as a child, several neighbors trusted me enough to ask that I care for their pets while they were out of town. Through all of this, I developed the ability to understand the individual needs of each animal and to work toward meeting those needs. Whether your furry friends love long walks, playtime in the yard, or just hanging out on the sofa, I would love to help out! I'm available for drop-in visits or more extensive stays as well. I just moved to Saratoga with my husband, so I'm looking for some meaningful work to start off my time here. My schedule is relatively open, so I can make time for most types of care routines. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! I am available for a wide range of in-home services. Due to having two cats of my own, I unfortunately cannot have other animals stay at my house. However, I can stay for any length of time with your pets, depending on their needs. Please let me know if your pets require any special assistance/services, and I will do my best to accommodate. I would also be happy to stop by before the scheduled care days to get to know you and your furry friends!

About: Hi, I would love to care for your dog! I have over 15 years of professional dog training experience, both in the DC area and on Long Island. During those years, I did extensive dog sitting. My approach is always loving, and caters to the personality and needs of your particular dog. I am just getting back into the business of pet sitting. I was a caregiver for my mom for a long time and did not the time. I do have a cat, but she prefers dogs to other cats! I am currently retired from a career in journalism and social work. I am a musician and a songwriter, which I do from my home mostly. I am able to take frequent breaks. I can provide a good neighborhood for dog walking, I know how to crate train. I do have a cat who is friendly with dogs. I can help identify and solve behavioral problems. I will undoubtedly become good friends with your dog!

“Ella came to our house daily while we were on vacation to take care of our cat. She made sure she had food, water, a clean litter box, and some cuddles. She sent photo updates each time, and I could tell our kitty enjoyed her visits! Thanks Ella!”

About: Hi all! My name is Bryanna and I am 35 years old! I am a full time teacher just looking for a little extra to keep me busy! I decided to try pet sitting as I am a huge animal lover. I have owned English Mastiffs my entire life and really believe every animal has the capability to love and be loved! At home I live with three spoiled rotten pups. Cooper and Chloe are six. Coopy is a Husky Shepherd mix and Chlo Chlo is a Beagle Coonhound mix. We also have Diesel who is a 2 year old 210 pound English Mastiff. If I could quit my job to be with them all day, I would! Spending time with animals makes me happy and I know what it is life to leave your pet while you enjoy your life, so I wanted to help make that experience seamless and easy for you! I am excited to help you out and spend time with your sweet pets! I am off for the summer as I am teacher, so I am able to do drop in visits and walks weekly! It’s hard for pets to be home alone all day and I’d like to alleviate some of that from their owners! I take the upmost care of my pups. We walk everyday and they spend a lot of time outside playing and basking in the sun. During the summer we love our naps and extra treats.

About: I’ve been looking after dogs since I was little, whether it be bigger dogs or small dogs. My toy poodle was 18 before he passed away so I’m familiar with older dogs and those that require a medication schedule (as long as you catch me up to speed with your pets needs!). I’ve also looked after puppies. I’m currently working part-time from home, so I’ll have plenty of time to look after and entertain your pets! I’m available any day with advanced notice! I do not have a fenced in yard however, I am a very active person so I’m more than happy to take your pets on walks, hikes, or trips to the dog park! My dog passed away recently so there are no other pets in the house, meaning your pet has my full attention!

“A big thanks to mark for accommodating a request on short notice and caring for our beau while we were gone! Mark was communicative and handled our high energy pup with grace.”

Shannon S.
“Shannon is one of the most selfless and caring people I know; she always makes sure those around her are comfortable, happy and taken care of! This is just one of the many reasons she is the most wonderful dog-mom. Shannon loves her two pups like they are her children; It's such a joy to see her interact, train, and play with her doggos. Shannon is also very by-the-books when it comes to dog health and safety; she makes sure the dogs not only get they love they crave, but get the discipline they need. When Shannon is dog-sitting my fur babies, I know they are in great hands. I hope this will help others to feel comfortable and content letting Shannon dog-sit their favorite furry friends!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Bryanna! We needed help last minute with letting our dogs out while we were away. Thankfully, Bryanna stepped in on extremely short notice—and completely exceeded our expectations. She spent the time to not only let our dogs out but played with them outside and ensured they had water and food available. You could tell right away that she genuinely love animals and knows how to handle all kinds of dogs. Bryanna saved the day, and we are beyond grateful. Whether you’re planning ahead or need someone in a pinch, you can’t go wrong with her! Highly recommend—we’ll definitely be booking again!”

Luke S.
“I have had the joy of having Luke watch my dogs for at least 10 years. My last Yorkie loved him and Luke was great with him. When I had to put him down Luke helped me a lot days before taking care of him. I got another Yorkie about 3 years ago. Milo, my Yorkie has severe anxiety and has a hard time meeting new people. Milo loves Luke and enjoys his time with him. Luke is very responsible and great with all animals. He will text me Milo’s day, walk and whatever else to ease my mind. He has truly helped Milo and myself during the puppy stage and anxiety issues. I will continue to have Luke watch Milo for as long as I have him.”
