About: Hi everyone! I grew up in Minnesota in a house full of spaniels. Since then, I have dog-sat for family and friends for short and extended periods! I have also raised a fur baby of my own- my (almost 2) year old Sussex Spaniel, Gus. Pet care fits into my daily/ weekly schedule naturally, as I have a dog of my own. I’m currently working a fully remote job, and can accommodate pet needs easily throughout the day! I build my day around making sure my dog gets enough love, care, attention, and exercise, and will do the same for yours! I strive to follow your dog’s routine as closely as possible, whether in my home or yours. At my place, I have a friendly dog that would love to play and keep yours company. At yours, I will respect the space and routine, provide regular updates, and give your dog plenty of attention and affection!

About: I've always had dogs in my life, and I think they deserve to be treated with love, patience & spoiled too! I'm comfortable with teacup-sized to the biggest dogs. I have a lab named Penne who loves to welcome new friends into our home! I work from home, so I have plenty of time to give pups all the love they need during their stay. I usually walk Penne 3x a day in Deering Oaks & let her run around the fenced-in yard if the weather is nice. For puppies I can do more-frequent runs! I am generous with treats, happy to have pets on furniture, and love to give pups love. I understand the concern with leaving your pup behind during work or a trip all too well, so I'm happy to give regular updates & pictures!

The minute she saw Brooklyn, and Brooklyn saw her, we could tell they were going to enjoy each other's company. During our trip out of state, Alexandra coordinated closely with our friend who had been caring for Brooklyn long term, while she took Brooklyn for a couple days to allow for our friends to attend a few activities they had planned. About: I know the answer to both sides of that question; having gone years without a pet, and then falling in love with a rolly, romping little pug who my partner and I were blessed to have 16 1/2 years. When we lost him, our hearts were broken, (and still are), and our home less rowdy and happy. Knowing I could never replace him, I've decided to open my home to those pups (and some cats) who need a place to camp out while moms, dads and families are away. And that's why I'm here on Rover. I work from home nearly every day and when not, there are cameras to monitor my four-legged visitors and I'm in to let your baby out during the day without fail. I live just off Portland's Eastern Promenade with plenty of room for walks and play. I'm a professional type with a background as a veterinary technician, (during college and a while afterward). The sweeter and more cuddly your baby is, all the better because I love doggy hugs, playing catch and babying friendly, non-aggressive dogs. Feel free to send me a note with any questions! *Please note that rates are based on the portion that the Rovver platform acquires from the fee paid by the customer. The platform takes a healthy amount from sitters and unfortunately, I must factor that in to what I charge for services. :( I have had and cared for dogs most of my life. I have a background as a veterinary technician and caregiver as well as volunteering for shelters and adoption programs. Whether sitting in your home or mine, I'm extremely attentive to established schedules like feeding time, medication schedules and the like. (I don't accept a lot of client site house sitting but when I do, I'm pretty tidy and often like spending time doing small house chores, so you'll never come back to a home more messy than you left it, and likely a bit cleaner. I love giving attention to dogs, (labs, goldens and pugs especially!). Clean/well groomed pets pretty much get the run of the house when it comes to hanging out on the sofa and, maybe even the bed. But your preferences for crating and sleep/rest time, like everything else will be strictly followed.

About: I'm dedicated to your dog's well-being and offer genuine love, playful engagement, and a safe home and environment to ensure a stress-free experience. I have been a dog owner my entire life and I know how to read the body language of dogs. I nurture trust so that your dog is as happy here as s/he is in your home. We have two rescue dogs here in the home, Phoebe and Canela. Phoebe has been with us since she was a tiny chiweenie puppy six years ago, and Canela is a two year old sweetheart that was starving/living on the streets in Oaxaca, Mexico. Little did I know when I fell in love with her that the only way to get her home was to have her driven here in February! I am a writer and have a small gardening & vintage business which allows me to be at home close to full-time. Because I have a fenced in yard, I leave the door to my back porch open and our dogs go in and out of the home as they wish. I am here to monitor them, of course! I have a big fenced yard and two dogs that love to play and go for walks on the Greenbelt which is across the street. When they are inside, they sleep like queens on the couch or bed. Their favorite activity when they are not playing is to stare out the front window from the bed and bark at all the dogs that dare walk by our home.
