“Taylor is amazing , constant updates and adorable pictures every time he went in for a visit. Lovey is picky about who she is around and I can tell she absolutely adored Taylor. Definitely will not hesitate to book Taylor again & recommend he be everyone’s first choice when deciding who to look after your fur baby.”

“Chelsea was wonderful! Very communicative with her drop in cards, very flexible with our drop in schedule, and tried to keep our dogs routine as close as possible while we were away making sure she had plenty of outside time. Would highly recommend and use her again!”

“Menna was great - I made the request with very short notice and she was quick to respond and figure out times that worked. She was on time for the agreed check-ins, sent pics, and my bratty little dog loved her. 10/10”

“Mikaela really goes above and beyond for my pets and myself. She gives me really great details about my dog, watches out for my cat (who is still adjusting to the dog), and even brings in my refrigerated medicine when she sees it. A truly caring person, who even took the time to learn Goblin's training. I highly recommend her.”

About: Growing up my family had a few well trained rottweilers. Taking for walks, feeding and playing were all part of my routine as a kid. After I got married we adopted 2 kittens from a shelter and since then our family is complete! Having pets for me is as having children so you can be sure I will treat your fur babies as if they were mine! I’m currently not working full time so I have a lot of free time to take care of your pets! I can do house sitting over the weekends if needed too. I do not offer to bring pets to my house. I have 2 indoor cats that don’t get along with other animals. I will follow the rules of safety in all clients houses.
About: I only have about 5 years of experience with dogs. Where I grew up I was only able to take care of cats. As soon as I was able to be around dogs, I fell in love. I love to take them on walks and play! I do have a full time job, therefore, I will only be available on the weekends. On the week days I am available after 5 PM Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I will follow all your instructions to keep your pet and the house safe! I will only be at the area you will ask me to be, only focus on the task in hand.
“Felix is so amazing. He did a drop in with my dog and he kept me updated the whole time. It was very comforting to know that my baby was well taken care of while I was at work!”

“Hailey was great. I got plenty of updates on my dogs while she was caring for them, and when i returned home they were very happy and clearly well taken care of. My dogs are older and can be a bit grumpy so I am always happy when I can find a sitter that they clearly enjoy”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and love the fun they add to life. Basic potty training and command training experience with my own dog. I work from home and have a relatively flexible schedule. Sometimes I have breaks in my day for quick walks or play time. I can always take my dog out at least every 2 hours. Lunch time I usually take my dogs outside in our fenced in yard and get some exercise in for them! We have a fenced in backyard and pet-friendly home. When I drop in or house sit, I’m very respectful of the pet & owners home.
About: When I was 10 years old, I started my own dog walking business for the neighborhood. I got my first puppy when I was 15 and she is still in the family. I have four dogs of my own who are happy, healthy, and spoiled rotten! I currently am a stay at home dog mom, I have a routine around my pets' needs. They have a set day for their bath time and I walk them once a day to make sure they have their exercise. I have a fenced in area in the yard that is great for potty training and exercise. I have other pups your pet can play with, and if they're not great with unfamiliar friends, then we have a front yard where I can walk your pet around and I have a dog play room. I always look out for each pet and make sure they stay safe/happy. I am home every day and pets have free roam of the house except for the bedroom and bathroom. I do crate when I leave the house to run an errand and at night to prevent any harm that could possibly occur. I do ask if I am overnight sitting in my home that your pup is already crate trained, or at least almost used to it. I am very good at crate training but it can be difficult training a pup outside of their comfort area. In your home, I promise to leave your pet feeling loved and happy! I will provide feeding, walking, and playing with your pet. If you have a cat I will clean the litter box and make sure your pet has fresh water and food. I can also provide washing your pet's food dishes and light cleaning to crates.
“Adalia did an awesome job with my two cats. I received rover report cards and pictures every day. On the last day Ellie had a digestive issue and Adalia cleaned it up even though I said I could do it the next day. Will definitely use her again if she is available.”

“Amazing care for my cats! Cleaned up after them and changed everything that needed to be changed. Very attentive, professional and easy to work with! Will definitely be booking again, highly recommended!”

“Dons a lifesaver! New to the neighborhood with a pack of anxious pups and he responded right away to my inquiry, came out to meet them and a visit was set! Being Updated throughout the whole process made me feel at ease while away at work. Will definitely be re-booking and highly recommend.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
