âAlways does an excellent job taking care of our cats. Sends photos, plays with them, and even cleans the litter box. Easily the best pet sitter in Fort Dodge.â

âLizzie was AMAZING! My dog got sick while we were out of state. Lizzie went above and beyond. She picked up meds from the vet and applied them daily. She made a cute New Years photo magnet with a pic of our dog, Olive. Her communication and kindness were outstanding. And she is a pet groomer! You couldnât ask for a better care giver for your pet.â

âI cannot recommend Madison enough! They are an absolute gem and truly the best cat sitter ever. The kitties were well-fed and litter box pristine, but she also went above and beyond by spending quality time with them, giving them the attention and care they deserve. I love getting the thoughtful updates, including photos and detailed messages about how they are doing each day. It gave me peace of mind knowing they are in such loving hands while I am away. Madison is reliable, attentive, and clearly has a special gift when it comes to caring for animals. If youâre looking for someone who will treat your furry babies like family, look no further. My kitties and I and I canât wait to have her back again!â

About: I have always loved animals since I was a kid. I care for not only my own dogs but friends, family, and family friends have relied on me to not only go out for potty breaks but also walk, run, bike, mingle with other dogs, and honestly so much more. I stay active so I can keep up with my fur babies. This includes a love for hiking, walking, running, and biking! Lots of love to give so reach out if you need anything! I have had experience with all age ranges and lots of breeds but I am always open to get to know new breeds. It is interesting to see just how different each animal is! I am currently working part and will be going back to school in the fall. I am always looking to help out and make extra money doing things that I love. I usually like to keep the same routine going so they are used to it. I just add the fun stuff as in walks, bike riding, and runs! I like to meet with the owners and go over their habits and the dos and dontâs for caring for their fur baby or babies. In my home⌠I treat them like they are part of our family. We treat our fur babies with nothing but love and respect so you should expect the same for yours. I am new to rover so at the moment I am not taking on new dogs to stay at my personal home yet until I get the hang of their behavior. We bring dogs in that have great behavior and can get along with my two dogs (German Wirehair Pointing Griffons).
âShe did great watching our shy cat for a week while we were out of town. She sent plenty of pictures of our kitty eating and looking comfortable, andshe was reliably on-time. We will contact Rylan right away next time we need a cat sitter for sure!â

âAmanda goes above and beyond! I was so scared to leave my 16 yr oldin pin for a week long vacation, but with Amanda caring for him my mind was put to ease. She not only followed his lengthy list of care instructions, but made sure he got pets and cuddles at his visits and even took his laundry home to be kept up with. She handled everything perfectly and made our vacation much more enjoyable knowing our baby was well looked after. If we lived here full time Amanda would be our go to sitter no questions asked! Thank you Amanda you are such a blessing! â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â

About: I was raised in a house full of dogs. Atleast 14 of them and have had many many many litters of puppies. Iâve always taken care of them my whole life! I actually got into a car accident back in 2021 and now have arthritis in my right ankle, makes it super hard to have a full time job. I also have a little three year old I stay home with! I play with the pets all day long. Iâll take them for little walks or drives. I give them food and water, some treats as well depending on what the owner says. We cuddle, itâs always a great time
âSaige went above and beyond in caring for my two dogs. One of them is undergoing heartworm treatment, and as a result is on many meds that make her incontinent. Saige was a trooper in keeping the house as clean as possible. She is also just as nice as can be. I would absolutely recommend her.â

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
