About: I have always had dogs growing up. I could play with dogs for hours, it brings me so much joy. I often care for my brother's dog who is a pit mix. He has some behavioral issues but I have found that plenty of excercise helps. I am willing to go the extra mile for animals that need extra attention/have a lot of energy. I am also experienced in administering medication to dogs because of him. In addition, I helped care for my family dog in her final years. Because of her, I have some experience in helping senior dogs and understand the patience required to care for them. Most afternoons will be available during the week. This summer will be pretty busy over the weekends. I work from home and would be willing to walk over for more visits if you live by me. close to downtown Alexandria! I prefer to care for pets in a client’s home. I am happy to take pets in my car if needed to go to parks. I enjoy taking my dog to off leash parks. If your dog is trained in going to such parks, I am happy to take them in my own vehicle! For those interested in booking a house sitter, I am a firm believer in leaving a space cleaner than it was when I first see it which is a bonus.
About: Growing up on a farm, I took care of many animals from a young age- cats, dogs, horses, rabbits and chickens. As an adult, I have always had an animal and love taking care of friends and family's pets. I've taken care of puppies, kittens and senior dogs as well and can provide them all the love and attention they deserve I'm currently working part-time, and have time to play with your pups and cats! Whether it's an early morning walk, evening let out or taking care of your fur baby in your home while you're away- they'll be in good hands. I am happy to come to your home and care for your pet while you're away. I love taking walks so they can stretch those legs, feel comfortable crating animals if that's their routine and happily can play fetch with them in the backyard.
About: I have never lived without a dog in my life, my family trains hunting dogs so I am very familiar with training and dog behaviors. I currently work two part time jobs, one more part time then the other but I'm available on weekends and wednesdays and weekdays after 3pm. I have one pup of my own who is very friendly and loves to make friends and a large unfenced yard, can crate if needed but the crate would need to be provided.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
