“Definitely recommend Madison to watch my pup. She has few other dogs and I was not sure how she would react with other dogs as she likes to play but can sometimes be a handful. Madison was nice enough to meet Nala before I even booked and let her meet her dogs so we could see how they would react. She put my mind at ease by sending videos and pictures during Nalas stay showing me how Nala was getting along with her pups and just having a grand ole time. She has plenty of field for dogs to run around and enjoy/ tire themselves out. Will definitely be trusting her with my pup again and can not recommend her enough.”

“Our flight got cancelled and Rachel had to keep our pup unexpectedly for another day! Rachel was great about the inconvenience which we greatly appreciated. Our dog Lily is old and not easy and Rachel ALWAYS makes us feel like our old girl is easy and a delight 😊 Such a relief while we are away.”

“10/10 Erin was very friendly and informative from the beginning! Took very good care of my two fur babies updated me every day and the best part she sent pictures without having to ask! Will be trusting her again with my fur babies! She is also very flexible with times picking up and dropping off! Thank you again for taking such good care of my fur babies!!”

“Everything worked out just fine! Macchi is her happy energetic self and I'm glad to have her back! Thank you so much for utilizing the instructions left for her. It's often difficult to find someone who will follow them. We would totally stay again!”

“Fantastic service! Very accommodating to my travel schedule with pick-up & drop-off. Great communication in very timely way including daily updates. Very knowledgeable of dogs, and how she introduced my dog to her two. Even allowed me to meet her pups. I’m in process of booking again, and very grateful for Lisa and her thorough care of Winston!”

“We had a great experience— super communicative and flexible, with lots of photos and check-in’s so that I knew that everything was going ok. I appreciate the effort that went into helping my Eddie feel comfortable and confident in the new space!”

I have experience with many breeds, temperaments and behavioral challenges, along with numerous references from clients and families who have trusted me with the care and training of their dogs. Drop-in visits are available for potty breaks, feeding, medication, playtime and check-ins for dogs of all ages. Because I’m also a professional dog trainer, I can incorporate basic obedience training, manners and mental stimulation into our time together. Your dog gets the care they need, plus productive one-on-one attention while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate both regular and occasional drop-in visits throughout the week. Whether you need ongoing visits, occasional help, or care while you’re away, I’m happy to work with your dog’s normal routine and schedule. I care for each dog according to their established routine, household rules and individual needs. As an experienced trainer, I’m comfortable reading canine body language and handling different temperaments. I respect your home, your dog’s boundaries and the training or structure you already have in place while providing safe, attentive care.
“Melissa is a fantastic dog sitter! Great communication, regular updates, and excellent care. Our dogs came home happy and well cared for, and we had complete peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend Melissa and will definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, I have dog sat for my sisters and friends. I can feed, walk, and bath them. I care for my pets as if there my children and I would do the same for any pet! I got to college online and work a full time job Monday through Friday, when I’m not working I’m home with my pets! They enjoy relaxing with me and my Niko loves car rides! I can do drop in visits and dog walking on weekends any times! Message me and we can definitely work something out! I live in an apartment so I don’t have much of a yard so when it’s not super hot I take Niko on walks let him run around, he enjoys laying outside and chillin. He has so much fluff the heat gets to him ☺️

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Florida home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Florida.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Florida sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
