About: Ive taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12 and was given my miniature Australian Shepard at that age. She passed in 2020 and although I havent had another dog since, I am happy and comfortable around dogs. I work at an animal hospital on the West side and love it. I worked at AMC for two years as a veterinary assistant which confirmed for me I am in the right field. I am currently SAH so I have ample time to walk pets/ pet sit for anyone that needs assistance in their everyday lives. As long as I have notice I can manage anything I make sure I have many toys and bowls of water/food for the pets. I know about mannerisms for pets and am comfortable giving space or playing with pets that need it. All depends on what they want/ are comfortable with

About: I am available to walk/do drop ins/some house sitting &/or overnight stays & cat sitting/drop ins anytime in the Shandaken, NY area. I have many years experience with animals, three grown kids & I am an avid animal rescue supporter including having my own rescue animal. I work part time on my own schedule so my availability is flexible & I can work with you & your needs! I am not able to provide in home care due to my Rescue dog being touchy with other animals, especially dogs but am available anytime for walks/drop ins, cat care, etc.... About: Taking care of animals is what I love to do. I’ve volunteered at the USPCA for two years, where I not only walked shelter dogs, but made sure they had enough social interaction. I’ve learned a lot with in the timespan of my experience and am confident I can care for your animal. About: Growing up we always had animals in the home. Dogs and cats mostly! Over the past 7 years I’ve had the privilege of taking care of my friends fur babies (although I often feel as if they’re taking care of me). This included walking, grooming, feeding, and of course play time! I have experience in administering medicine to both dogs and cats. My last furry friend was a gorgeous black cat I rescued off the streets. Unfortunately, not long after we brought him home, he ended up being diagnosed with FeLV. It was a long and often tiring road but I would do it all over again for that special guy! While I’m extremely heartbroken we lost him, I am so grateful I got to experience, at least once in my life, such a special bond. This taught me a lot about caring for animals with serious health issues and deepened my appreciation for them on a new level. My schedule often fluctuates, as I’ve started a new job but I am open to all sorts of Dogs/Cats! I am energetic and love the outdoors so walks and play time come easy to me. If possible I like to keep a record of emergency contacts, vet info, feeding instruction (if any specific), medications, and alarm codes or instructions to enter the home. Before I leave I also like to triple check that all gates , doors, and fences are properly closed and locked.
