About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life. However, I also worked in rescue for 4 years for a non profit organization in Lexington and fostered hundreds of dogs which gave me experience with different personalities and an opportunity to learn animal behavior. I worked as a vet tech for less than a year several years ago, but have some knowledge obtained from that as well. I do require your dog to be crate trained, as I keep my own dog in a crate for safety reasons when I leave the home. I have a degree in social work, but supervise a substance abuse program. With my job, I have 3-4 meetings lasting 1-3 hours each, weekly. Most of my work is done on my computer at home. Your pet would be in a crate for safety while I’m not at home (max 3-4 hour daily), as would my own dog. I have a 3 year old medium female goldendoodle (26lbs), who is very submissive. Her name is Sophie and I have 2 cats, Jasper and Alice. My cats stay off to themselves for the most part, but my dog would really enjoy someone to play or cuddle with occasionally. I have a fenced yard for safety and your dog would be welcome on my lap at any time, just as my own. I take my dog to the dog park a couple times a week, but wouldn’t take yours unless you asked me to due to not being able to ensure safety not knowing the personalities of other dogs at the park. My pets are vaccinated annually, have flea, tick and heart worm preventative monthly. My husband works out of town through the week most weeks and I have a 16 year old daughter who is also an animal lover. However, I would be the only caretaker of your pet(s). Your dog would be welcome to sleep in our bed with my dog or in their crate if they’re more comfortable there.

About: Everything short of cutting claws and milking glands. We'll go out a lot together if that's what you’re after or stay in and play “hide the treats in blankets.” Skittish and vivacious canines welcome. I squeeze about thirty hours of my day job into odd slots around caring for my human and high needs dog. While taking two dogs on leashes to Vesuvius is probably a tall order, Central Bark or the Flatwoods dog park are no problem at all. There are so many rugs in this house that I don't care about that if your dog has an accident it is absolutely nothing to me. There is a 1/6 acre of about ten oak and maple trees directly next door for frolicking and my neighbor with her spayed female cat and fixed three year old Shepherd girl to walk over to. If your dog needs a little cooling off, most dogs like cooler conditions, and the five dollar coin op dog wash in Flatwoods
5. Kim P.
“I’d give 10 stars if that was an option! Kim did amazing with my Tony. He has really bad separation anxiety when I leave but he had no probably with Kim. She really made him feel at home and treated him like her own. Very thankful I found her!”
6. Maja H.
“Maja has cared for my pup quite a few times, Nacho (my pup) gets excited just pulling up to her house. Maja is caring, attentive and extremely responsible, I would recommend Maja as a dog sitter to anyone.”
7. Jenna G.
“Jenna is an amazing pet sitter. I have had her pet sit my animals about 10 times and every time she does great. She actually trained one of my puppies. When I came home he was potty trained! I recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter.”
8. Shirley M.
“Shirley took such good care of our Winnie for the weekend. She kept us updated with lots of pictures that we appreciated so much. We will use her again whenever we need boarding!”
9. Courtney H.
About: I have been around dogs for as long as I can remember. For the past 6 and a half years, I have gained a wide base of experience working with dogs of all sizes and breeds. In 2019 I worked to train service dogs for those in need. From there, I went on to work at a local shelter where I maintained kennels, walked and played with the dogs, and even worked on training exercises with all of them. I successfully rehabilitated over a dozen dogs with major behavioral issues, including a rotty who went on to become a bomb detection dog! My love for dogs expanded to Vet-Med, where I have worked for over a year. I can perform CPR, properly and efficiently give medications, I can even bathe and do nail trims; but most importantly I can provide a fun and exciting environment for your pup - whether it’s dropping in to take them on an evening walk or keeping them while you enjoy your vacations! My main goal is to be flexible and convenient for YOU! I am between jobs at the moment, so my availability is open. I can board dogs week day or weekend, whichever you need. I can do house visits, drop-ins, and everything in between any day after 9am. If you need something earlier than that, message me and let’s work something out! I have a huge yard out in the country where your dog can get lots of exercise. I even have a long line in case your dog needs help staying close! I have a pup of my own, his name is Mr. Peanut and he’s a sweet, gentle old man. He loves other dogs, but doesn’t play much. He’d rather sit and watch his fellow friends play and he’ll be there to snuggle up with when it’s nap time. I also have 2 cats who are no stranger to dogs. They are a little shy at first, but when they come around they want all the puppy lovins!!
10. Amanda D.
“We have worked with Amanda for many years, going back to when she was a trainer at PetSmart. She has worked with at least four of our dogs and she is top notch! She is a great trainer and has many good ideas to assist with our problem children! I recommend her highly to anyone needing pet assistance!”
11. Samantha F.
“My dog, Rosie loved staying with Samantha! She got to play with her dogs and had a fun time. I also got a photo and video during her stay to make sure she was doing great. Definitely recommend her😊”
12. Jennifer H.
“Jennifer and Andy are absolutely fantastic! They are everything anyone could ask for in a pet sitter. They are very responsive, awesome about sending pictures throughout the day and extremely accommodating - true animal lovers. When we picked Piper up you could tell she had a good time and was in good hands during her visit. I would definitely book Jennifer again (already sent a booking request for April) and highly recommend her to other members of the tri-state community.”
13. Sandra G.
“This was our first time doing an overnight Rover and Sandra was great. She sent tons of updates and pics. Our girl can be really shy but took to Sandra and her dogs right away. Sandra has a great energy about her. If we’re ever traveling her way again we’d 100% trust her to watch our girl again and we know Tefiti would be happy to se ever againn”
14. Josie C.
“Josie was so sweet & taking care of my Linus. He loves playing with her woof. Pics were appreciated, :-) 🐾 Thank you.”
15. Haley H.
“This was my first time using Rover and I wouldn't hesitate to use this service again. I was a bit nervous leaving my dog with a stranger through an app I've never used before but Hailey was an exceptional sitter! She was very responsive to all my questions and regularly sent me pictures of how Ollie was doing. I would 100% recommend Hailey for anyone interested in using this service. She exceeded my expectations and I will use her again in the future!”
16. Summer A.
“Summer did a great job with the my dogs. She has cats and dogs of her own and my dogs were so interested in their new friends that they almost didn't notice me leaving. I'll definitely use her again!”
17. Hannah A.
About: I have personally had pets since I was old enough to walk, but for the past 2 years I have worked as an animal care taker and I also volunteer as a rescuer in multiple groups. I am experienced with all varieties of dogs and cats. I bottle feed and can give medical care to cats or dogs as young as 3 hours old. I have some experience with behavioral modification as well as being able to teach both cats and dogs tricks! I am new to this app so please give me the chance to show you why you should continue booking with me! I am used to taking care of pets, it’s one of my passions. I plan on becoming a vet one day and I feel like this will be a great opportunity to expand my training. I tend to animals all hours of the day.. just ask mine! I have fostered and saved over 500 dogs and cats in just 2 years. I have a fenced in area designated for my personal dogs as well as your fur baby! I have crates and play pins if needed. I always carry extra treats! You’re dogs will have had plenty of exercise and love before they go home :).. for cats, I have 4-6 cat towers, a catio, and lots of fake mice!
18. Colton C.
“Colton was an excellent sitter for our dog Bongo (10 years old, 85 lb). He kept him for 6 days. Every picture he sent us you could see that Bongo absolutely felt at home and loved Colton. He took him on walks and kept him entertained. I could not have found a better sitter than this guy. Thank you Colton!”
19. Andrew James H.
“I took my two dogs to Andie for 6 days and I never once was worried! They sent so many pictures and updates. We will only trust them to watch our dogs while out of town. We are so happy we found them!”
20. Tabitha D.
“She was amazing with my dog. He had the best time and she kept me up to date with pictures and how was doing each day. They were even very accommodating when I was running 30 minutes late as well. I would absolutely book with her again if she is available.”
