About: I’ve taken care of many pets from small dogs to big dogs. My sister works in the vet field and has came home with a million rescue dogs to take care. I learned how each dog/ breed is unique and that each provides different care which is important. I’m currently a SAHM! So I give pets a lot of playtime. Try to take them on daily walks around 6 with the family :) I have a fenced backyard so dogs can go out and enjoy themselves. Since I have a kid, everything in my home is child proof, so they will both be safe from getting hurt
About: I have 3 german shepherd that I have taken care of since they were puppies. I love the way dogs can interact with people and the love they are willing to offer. I am able to do CPR on dogs if ever needed. I am compassionate and caring because thats all they need. Each dog may be different but they all share a common feeling which is wanting love and care. I connect with them fast. If there are any special needs as far as the walks or when coming to check on them let me know. It will be my great pleasure to play and walk your dog because it's what I love doing. As my heading describes, they are the only ones that can see your true heart.

About: I am a stay at home homesteader that has three rescue doggos that live inside and a guardian livestock dog that spends her days taking care of the farm. We have hatched, raised and spend our days giving all the snacks to almost 50 chickens, 17 guineas, and 6 ducks. We have 2 goats one of which is about to give us a third. I know how hard it can be the travel with peace of mind without your babies with you, and I’d love to be able to help people enjoy your time away from home. Being able to set my own schedule while caring for other animals will allow me the ability to still care for my own animals without pulling time from them. I will do my very best to keep your fur babies routines exactly the same, and love and care for them like I love and care for my own babies.
About: I have had multiple pets growing up that I was in charge of caring for. My love for animals has been a blessing for allowing me to assist people needing reliable fur baby care! I would love to help you have the peace of mind knowing your four legged child is being well cared for while you step away from home. I work full time and would love to spend some time around animals on my days off. I can do drop ins or take your pupper on walk during the weekends while you work or go out of town, or need a date night with your s/o! About: I've had all kinds of pets since I was a kid. Reptiles, small animals, farm animals and typical house pets. I have 6 of my own now and have a soft spot for seniors and disabled fur babies. I'm a stay at home mom so my availability is very open. Just wanting to do something I'm experienced in that has flexibility and can help a family to make sure their pets are loved and cared for. At the moment I prefer to go to clients homes. With my own pets we believe in crate training and have a pretty set routine. They go out every 3-4 hours and have daily exercises. I have children as well and they have learned pet boundaries so not to overwhelm the pets. I also have experience with deaf dogs and Senior dogs.
About: I had many many childhood pets. I used to farm sit for someone with 30+ goats, 4 dogs, a cow, chickens and others. I now have an Axolotl, three dogs (one red Australian shepherd-boxer mix, and two chihuauas), two bearded dragons, and a leopard gecko. (However I am renting so they are currently back in my hometown). I love love love cats. Grew up pet sitting and it's one of my all time favorite things to do! I will fall in love with every single animal I meet. I am currently a stay at home spouse, looking for a way to be more active, and I thought this would be the best thing! I also had to leave my pets behind in my hometown so I'm looking forward to getting to meet yours! I typically am most able to care for your animals through housesitting. The way that has worked best in the past has been about an hour long check-in a few times throughout the day, but I can be flexible depending on the animal and what they need. :) My home has pretty much everything up on counters, and in closets so there really isn't anything that they could possibly get into. I keep a very close eye on all the pets I watch, which allows me to understand them and their needs better much, faster.

About: Hi! I'm a dependable and caring pet lover who understands that every pet deserves patience, attention, and lots of love. Whether it's a drop-in visit, feeding, playtime, walks, or just keeping your pet company, I'll treat them like they're my own. I know how important it is to feel confident while you're away, so I'll provide regular updates, photos, and quick communication throughout every visit. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and comfortable in their own home. I myself have 3 dogs and they are basically like my children 😂. I keep my schedule organized so I can provide dependable pet care throughout the week. Whether it's morning, afternoon, or evening drop-in visits, I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, playtime, fresh water, meals, and lots of care. During every drop-in visit, I make sure pets have fresh food and water, plenty of attention, playtime, and potty breaks as needed. I'll follow your pet's normal routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress while you're away. I also make sure your home is left just as I found it and will provide photo updates and messages so you know how your pet is doing. My goal is to give every pet a safe, fun, and caring experience while you're away. Also If your pet enjoys walks, I'll make sure they get safe, enjoyable exercise at a pace that's comfortable for them.

About: I have been pet sitting since I was 11 years old. My experience ranges from newborn puppies/kitties to senior animals as well. When I was 16, I was working at a ranch as a dog/puppy tech handler. I helped clean, groom, and train miniature Australian Shepherds. As well as I handled mama dogs and their babies! While there, I also fed a feral colony and acquainted myself with some of the barn animals (Horses, cows, bulls). Over the years, I have fostered and bottle-fed various litters of puppies and kittens. Now I own 5 cats and 2 dogs. I am comfortable with big or small animals! I look forward to caring for y'all! Currently, I am taking courses for medical coding/billing for AAPC. So my classes are every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm. But other than that timeframe, I am completely flexible! I do prefer to be able to go to the client's home as I feel that is what most pets are more comfortable with. Whether you have cameras or not, it is not a problem. Any type of special latches, gates, key codes, etc. Is not a problem either. Animals hold a very special place in my heart, so rest assured, your baby will be my baby.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Flat. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Flat.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Flat. On Rover:
- 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
