“Colin always goes above and beyond when it comes to looking after the house! Most importantly, though, the cats love him, which is not a given with them - they tend to be shy around new people. I would definitely recommend Colin, and my husband and I plan to rebook in the future!”

“Theresa was an excellent find on Rover. I was very nervous to have someone I didn’t know come watch my pets. During the meet and greet my fears washed away and I was able to enjoy a family vacation knowing my pets were in good hands. I received daily updates on not only my pets but on the house as well, such as a power outage and toppled houseplants. Theresa made me feel like everything was under control so I didn’t worry one bit! I would definitely hire her for my next vacation! Thanks for all you do ?”

“We decided at the last minute to go away for the weekend and had no dog sitter. Emily was available that day to meet our pups and then take care of them for the weekend! We received pictures and updates from every visit and came home to happy healthy pets. Thanks Emily!”

About: I have loved animals my entire life, and have owned dogs since I was 10 (after begging my parents for years). I helped raise and train them both from puppies, and am more than willing to help your pup learn the basics! I’m very good with shy or sensitive animals, so send your misunderstood babies my way! I am a nursing student at Fitchburg State, so I am typically available after 3pm on weekdays, with some early morning availability. I am flexible and happy to work with you to find times that fit both of our schedules. I have a car with me at school, so getting to and from your home won’t be an issue. I am happy to walk and feed, as well as change litter boxes/puppy pads as needed. My top priority is making sure your pets feel loved, safe, and well cared for while you’re gone.
“Took great care of my blind senior cat with anxiety issues. She listened to instructions well and asked good clarifying questions. I would have no problem using her again.”
About: Having grown up around a diverse set of animals then adopting 2 dogs of my own in adulthood, I bring a thorough, well rounded background in pet care. I am single dad (kids live here part-time) who currently works a corporate 9-5 job full-time from my home office in Leominster, so I have a lot of flexibility during the work days during the week, and then my weekends are very open too around kids activities. I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex within a wooded area with land so this gives a good environment for comfortable interior space as well as walking pets outside.
About: I’ve always had a dog since I was a child. Daily walks and bathroom breaks are all routine. I trained my last pup to sit and give his paw, he could even switch to left paw :) I only take care of one dog at a time to keep things less stressful and so your pup can get all the attention they deserve. I’m currently the caretaker of my family’s property while they’re away on vacation. They brought our dog, Duke, with them, so I have the house to myself with a ton of free time. I’m available 24/7 for you and your pets. I have a partially fenced yard with 1 acre of land. There’s plenty of space to walk, play, or use the bathroom. There’s an indoor pool for any swimmers and it’s in a quiet neighborhood. I live on a dead end, so there is no through traffic.
“Amazing! This was the first time we left our cat with a sitter so we were a little worried but we got pictures and updates every day. Her children loved playing with my kitty and we were able to have a getaway knowing our girl was very very well taken care of.”

“Priscilla was awesome with our three kitties. Two of them are very skittish with strangers and she got one of them to warm up to her to the point where he allowed her to pat him. She asked for various tips to make the cats comfortable with her. We would definitely ask her to come back!”

About: I am the proud owner of a 5 year old Bullmastiff and a former owner of a beautiful Dog de Bordeaux, Mookie, who passed shortly after his 9th birthday. I have loved all animals my entire life but couldn't wait to be an adult to have dogs of my own! And the plan was never just one! I often watch my Bullmastiff's biological sister, who my best friend is the proud owner of. They often get together to play. If you ever see me in public and are walking a dog or even better, several dogs, you'll know it's me because I will go out of my way to ask you to pet your dog(s) :) I have a very flexible work schedule to accommodate most times, especially those wrenches that get thrown into our day requiring last minute needs to have the fur babies let out or fed. I do not have a fenced in yard so my fur baby Kemba is always on leash. Preferably I would keep clients pets on leashes unless in a fenced in area as to not risk any escape artists.
About: I love animals and have been around them as long as I can remember. I have extensive experience with dogs and cats, from birth to their last breath. I believe in positive reinforcement training. I am very loving and treat all animals with respect but can be strict when required for safety. With me your babies will feel like they are at home away from home. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I am available almost always and your fur babies will have lots of love and company. I have a large grassy yard, and I live near a pond and multiple trails. I also have a Chihuahua mix girl, who is very friendly and loves making new friends.
About: I have been pet sitting for many years now. Started out as helping out family and friends in high school and college and has evolved to much more over the years. I also have 8 years of experience owning my own dogs. I have cared for dogs of all ages and sizes, cats, lizards, and turtles. I am comfortable with transporting pets to vet or grooming appointments, bathing, brushing, and brushing teeth for dogs, feeding, giving topical and oral medication, walking, playing, picking up after, cleaning litter boxes. I am genuinely happiest when I am with animals so getting to spend time with your fur babies would be my absolute pleasure! I will treat your pets as my own while they are in my care and I will always make sure they are kept happy and safe. I work a 9-5 Monday - Friday with a hybrid schedule. I typically work from home Wednesday and Fridays. I am available for daycare bookings on my WFH days, overnight bookings any time and walks/drop-ins in the evenings & weekends. For overnight bookings during the week, on my in-office days, my brother is available to check in on the pups at home and give them mid-day bathroom breaks and some company. I have a new fence being put in for the yard at the moment and in the meantime, I have extra long leashes so the pups can still safely explore and get some exercise in the yard. I have 2 pups of my own to keep your pet(s) company and have lots of playtime with. I have plenty of space throughout the house to keep dogs separated while I am not home and have pet cameras to keep my eye on them! I also have 2 large crates and 1 small crate if needed. I prefer to sit for dogs that are crate trained to ensure extra safety but this can be discussed during the meet and greet! My 65lb male dog does not always enjoy other males that are larger than himself in the house but we can still have a meet and greet to check, with this in mind! I always suggest sending your dog for an overnight stay with their doggy bed/favorite blanket and a favorite toy to make them the most comfortable!

Fitchburg cat parents share their Rover experiences
Colin has always been great with the cats; super consistent and reliable! He’s always gone above and beyond in looking after the house, too: recycling brought out, mail brought in, icemelt put down, etc. The cats love him, and they seem very content and well looked after when we get home. Colin’s very attentative to them; knows and remembers their preferences for food/play/petting and so forth. It’s really great to know that we can just trust that he’ll know what to do, and everything will go smoothly. He also gives a lot of feedback and sends great pictures, so we never have to worry when we’re away!

Mariah took care of our cats and Leopard geckos over Christmas break. The geckos ran out of crickets because they all decided to die (pretty common) so she went to the pet store and got them more which was above and beyond what was expected. She was persistent when it came to catching our kitty that needs his heart meds each day and knows how to play a good game of hide and seek to try to keep away. We know our animals are safe with Mariah and our house too as she also brought in packages that arrived while we were away.

Angelita was excellent with our cats, gave pets and attention to our cat that doesn't hide, and tried her best to check on the one that does. She also recognized that I must have booked the visits wrong by the amount of food I left out for the cats. I booked the first and last day of the week we where gone. When I meant to book the entire week. She contacted us to ask, because she saw the amount of cans we left out for her. I would highly recommend her for any pet sitting services.

This was the third time I booked Yadi for my 3 cats (2 with meds). I’m so happy I connected with her earlier this summer. She followed my detailed directions perfectly. She went above and beyond her duties - one of my cats regurgitated lots of food on a very large litter mat and she somehow emptied the litter that falls through the holes and cleaned the entire mat and left it on my screened in porch to dry. I highly recommend Yadi for your pet sitting needs!
